If you have dehydrated food storage, how will you boil water during supply chain disruptions and no electricity?
I have been looking at small multi-fuel camp stoves from Fireboxstove.com

Today there was another FIRE at a FOOD PROCESSING PLANT partially funded by BILL GATES. How many more needed to burn before the reality of intentional?

Pathetic, so much negativity re: food chain these days. It’s obvious folk are necessitated to starve to be supplicant. Plant your own NOW!
In the olde days, we grew our own food, and traded locally. Get back to reality. Even if you only have a tiny patch, you can trade. What are these vile perpetrators up to next? Get rid of the very wealthy at our expense. The ‘elite’ should be warned that they are vulnerable today, each fancy home is very vulnerable. Nasty folks, enjoy whilst you can, as you are in the ‘firing line’ of forced deprivation. On your heads be it…

Last week I bought a bunch of basic tools from wrenches to pliers and a small scythe (Death's weapon), including a nice Ax to chop some woods, who knows what kind of mess it will become. I will look for some more seeds now beside the ones I got, was reading a website they sell heirloom seeds, but really what a whoop!!! 1K USD for a bunch of seeds they claim isn't GMO ... is that right folks? because for real, who are going to pay for that.. not me for sure. anyway..
Does anyone have any good references on heirloom seeds? price is important. I am looking for just a few not thousands..

For those with fewer resources, or who get to the situation of needing this too late there is always the soup can stove.

I have one of these at the ready myself. ( I thought it was too cool not to build one )

Just been looking myself as I want to buy some (and setup a 'patch' down the end of the garden) .... this firm reads good (UK firm in Wales) .... prices seem ok although I wouldn't really know!

Quote You'll find no F1 hybrids or genetically modified seed here - just varieties that do really well and taste great when grown on a garden scale - a catalogue of real seeds for real gardeners wanting to grow proper vegetables.

Because all are open-pollinated (non-hybrid), if you wish you can even save your own vegetable seed for future years, using the instructions we supply. There's no need to buy new seed every year.
Quote We've been producing seed for over twenty years now, and we pride ourselves on our reputation for excellent seed quality. We only send out really good seed; we are gardeners too and we know the frustration that poor seed could cause. We're a DEFRA-registered and Soil-Association-registered seed merchant: all our seed is grown, dried and stored professionally, and gets fantastic feedback from people.

    Our Seed Collection

We’re a bit different from other places you might get seed from, because we also grow all these veg for our own family use, so if it's in our catalogue, we know how it grows, and how it tastes. We don't like things that are fiddly or difficult to grow, so we just don't offer them.

Over the years we've tried thousands of vegetable varieties and collected together what we think are the very best vegetables for the home gardener - both valuable heirlooms and really good modern strains.

You'll find no hybrids or genetically modified seed here - just varieties that do really well and taste great when grown by hand on a garden scale.

    Seed You Can Save Yourself

One of the main aims of the company - written into its deeds - is to educate and encourage home seed saving. All our varieties are real, open-pollinated seed (non-hybrid), so you can save your own seed for the future, using instructions we supply. We have written freely-copyable seed-saving guides, and we sell a more detailed seed-saving book at a subsidised price. There’s really no need to buy new seed every year - you can just save your own.

    Background

When we got allotments and grew our own vegetables to eat, we slowly came to realise that most modern varieties have been bred for the needs of large-scale chemical farming, where all aspects of the environment are controlled with fertilisers, herbicides, insecticides and fungicides.

After all, supermarkets demand shiny fruit that are tough to survive shipping and display, and so these are what are being bred. But these commercial varieties give poor results when grown on a home scale without all their chemicals. And whatever has happened to qualities such as flavour and tenderness?

Luckily, we found that there do still exist many old heirloom varieties, representing centuries of careful selection and breeding for small-scale growers.

So we track down and try ones that sound promising, and those that do well we add to our Collection. They come from many places - we trade with other plant collectors and heirloom vegetable projects, government seed banks, and donations from the public.

We also look for interesting plants that are well known in other countries, and could do well in the UK, but have so far remained relatively unknown.

Our aim is simple: to assemble the best collection of really reliable, tasty and interesting non-hybrid vegetables for the home gardener, allotment grower, or smallholder.
    Normal..!

Thank you both, I am going to check this out since I live in Thailand and probably seeds require some sort of sanitary certificate to enter the country, I will have to investigate it. Maybe a simple letter envelope will do the job

I've bought a decent spread of seeds from these chaps, UK based https://www.dtbrownseeds.co.uk/Veget...getable-Seeds/

But for the most part I wouldn't have thought you would be growing the same things there, & it's highly likely that smallholders there keep their own (heirloom) seeds, maybe they are available in rural markets ?

Thanks for the link, I will go through and see what species I could be planting here.. and I may take the risk ordering, even if it get confiscated by the customs.. I will do small orders, should be alright.

You are correct, that's how I got the ones I have today, also I picked myself quite a few (still not sure if GMO or not, I just label them to know that in the future)..
There is one large weekend market and they offer quite a great variety of live plants and seeds in Bangkok, but for what I remember it is basically seeds from big corporation, that's how I came to know about seedless mangoes which is GMO mango... I just want to avoid all the genetically modified plants, otherwise would be very easy to get all I want. They also got seedless grapes here, extremely sweet fruit, also the pineapples, corn, rice, all sort of melons all GMO products.

I have no rush to acquire these seeds, but once I get it, I will plant and then luckly start to collect my own seeds from it.. I just want to start it correctly and avoid those GMO seeds, that's why it is important for me to have absolutely sure about the origin of the seeds and I think I can only get it from a reputable company or friends, the general market are loaded with GMO products nowadays, can't be trusted.

Edit: I was reading the website and I saw they have the green Artichoke seeds for sale.. this is one example I would like to have here, but I can't actually find seeds, also it is a good perennial once established it will be part of the landscape, just like asparagus, they are superb!

Regarding the alcohol/ cotton ball stove: Casey, I wonder if kitty litter would work in place of the dirt? Anybody have any guesses? Is the purpose of the dirt to insulate, in which case looser, lighter kitty litter might not do the trick? Also, how much alcohol would you need to replenish the stove; how quickly is it consumed? Love the stove, though. Very cool.

    Hi, Wondering

Yes the purpose of the dirt is to insulate and also to weight the thing. I have never had cause to use the one made myself, so I cannot say how long the alcohol lasts. I think I remember watching one of these videos, though, that gave the idea that roughly 1/4 of the inner ( tomato paste ) sized can would easily cook a pot of rice. That indicates it would heat sufficiently for 20-30 minutes. You can also use these 'stoves' without the cotton balls and just the alcohol. It has been so long now since I have looked into this that I have forgotten the +/- of this, though. Maybe I should update myself!

Hostile Takeover’ of Global Food System Already in Process, Ice Age Farmer Tells RFK, Jr.
    07/01/22
    By Susan C. Olmstead
    https://childrenshealthdefense.org/d...fk-jr-podcast/

"Agricultural researcher, permaculturalist and author Christian Westbrook joined Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. on the “RFK Jr. The Defender Podcast” to discuss what’s behind the coming food crisis.
t’s “common knowledge” that we’re headed for a food crisis, said Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. during an interview with agricultural researcher, permaculturalist and author Christian Westbrook on “RFK Jr. The Defender Podcast.”

Westbrook — also known as the Ice Age Farmer — said recent challenges around the availability and production of food are the result of a generations-long plan that began with the “Rockefeller takeover of agriculture.”

Since then we have seen a “gradual destruction of the way humans have grown food since the dawn of time,” Westbrook said, “replacing it with what we now call modern, but highly toxic, petrochemical agriculture.”

Today’s combination of governments overstating their food stocks, supply chain challenges brought on by COVID-19 policies, weather events, diesel shortages, parts shortages and inflation is creating “a perfect storm,” setting us up for “a day of reckoning,” said Westbrook.

The Rockefeller Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have long been pushing the idea of a Green Revolution, founded on the idea that animals and plants are “dirty and dangerous,” said Westbrook.

These groups’ goal is to industrialize our food supply and even “patent and own the very genetics that make up our entire ecosystem,” he said.

“That’s why we’re seeing this war on agriculture, the absolute war on real meat, replacing [it] with lab meat, replacing the organic good farms with … this technocratic approach,” Westbrook said.

“This is bid for total control,” he added. “[Henry Kissinger’s] words were, ‘If you control oil, you control nations; if you control food, you control people.’ And that at the end of the day is really the name of the game.”

Corporations try to seize control of agriculture through seed patents, which take seeds out of the hands of individual farmers, and through “fake foods” produced in laboratories, Westbrook said.

    He added:

“They’re trying to centralize and then take control over … the library of Earth’s genetics.

“The key action that we all have to be taking right now is to be doing it ourselves … is to be growing things in our own garden … is to be saving those seeds.”

Agricultural practices, including the use of pesticides and maltreatment of animals on factory farms, are not sustainable, said Westbrook, and this is why we’re “at the end of that paradigm.”

“We need to be talking more about the return to … decentralized and regenerative systems that can be producing for all of us going forward.”

Kennedy and Westbrook also touched on the alarming trend in recent years of food processing plants burning down. Westbrook is tracking this with a food supply incident map on his website.

“It’s hard to even talk about this stuff without sounding like a conspiracy theorist, but it’s pretty eerie how kind of regularly it’s happening,” Kennedy said.

Westbrook agreed. “There’s a group of people that have the means, motive — and have had the opportunity now — to make a move to shut down the food production of humanity in order to try and attempt a hostile takeover. … and we are now in the process of that,” he said."

Perhaps if you use the old type of clay-like kitty litter.

This site shows the destruction of over 600 places in the world where food supply is disrupted/destroyed as well as store fires, freezer outages, ocean animal die-off and more.

Don't know what to think of multi listings of: HACKED - IOWA GRAIN NEW COOPERATIVE. There is no explanation for such listings, so, as always, we may take some of it with the proverbial grain of salt. (I have an agreement with friends that we always assume the proverbial when sharing information so we don't repeat it with each article or video etc.)

Don't know about y'all, but when I try to let people know, many have a strong negative reaction to it and stop speaking to me. TV doesn't talk about it so...cognitive dissonance takes over. The messenger is now canceled and life goes on for now. Stock up and garden if possible does not go over well with everyone.

The above map is a very interesting initiative, kudos!
I took the time to check the one listing in Thailand, and the data entry is wrong, it says Kanchanaburi, but in fact the fire was in an old market in Korat, which is far away from Kanchanaburi.
Beside that fire in Thailand is very common thing due to the very poor electrical installation in the places, even big malls catch on fire here, I lost count how many time I heard a factory, a mall or even small business was on fire due to the very bad electrical system.
If you see how these dudes deal with electricity over here, haha
