Here's a very interesting and thorough long read about the the political culture of Australia.

Secrecy & Surveillance: The Australian National Security State
    By Dr Binoy Kampmark
    From New Dawn 177 (Nov-Dec 2019)

Australian society, as has been its wont for some time, relishes secrecy and surveillance. Forget the laid-back, relaxed demeanor that remains the great
fiction of a confected identity; like all such forced assumptions, the slight trace should not be mistaken as the main tendency. The political culture of Australia
remains shaped by penal paranoia & indifference to transparency. The citizen is not to be trusted; governments know best. The subject is to be policed and
regulated into apathetic submission, convinced that such measures are for the broader good.

As Brian Toohey notes in his latest, sprawling book titled 'Secret', power has accrued to Australian officials & ministers incrementally through 'a succession of
new laws and policies' driven by the profane trinity of secrecy, ignorance and fear. These have served to “deprive Australians of basic liberties and increase the
risk of being dragged into a devastating war that could escalate into a full-blown nuclear catastrophe.”

Australians to scan faces for government services

Australians will soon use facial recognition to access government services, including Centrelink and Medicare, under a $250 million plan.

    MYGOVID FACIAL RECOGNITION
Australians will soon use facial recognition technology to file bankruptcy applications, enrol to vote, apply/receive welfare payments and even register votes, in a new overhaul.

A new $800 million digital technology package dubbed the ‘Digital Business Plan’ has been unveiled by Prime Minister Scott Morrison as part of the 2020-21 budget announcement.

According to reports, the new system will allow citizens ‘seamless access’ using biometric technology and will be the government’s go-to identity credential moving forward.

myGovID, expanding upon the familiar myGov system, will allow citizens to create a digital identity and use their facial scans to log into a range of online government services.

It will work like a digital equivalent of the ‘100 point ID’ method currently used on a number of services, verifying documents like passports, driver’s licences and Medicare cards.

“The plan supports Australia’s economic recovery by removing out-dated regulatory barriers, boosting the capability of small businesses, and backs the uptake of technology across the economy.” – Scott Morrison.

The digital technology will devote $250 to the facial recognition component, as well as $25 million to help small businesses ‘develop their digital capacity’. Another $7 million is set aside for research into how blockchain technology could be deployed to cut regulatory compliance costs.

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said the investment in digital technology is needed to ensure Australia recovers from the pandemic and associated economic downturn.

More than 1.6 million Australians already use facial recognition to access 70 different government services, allowing them to verify their identity without visiting a branch to have their ID checked.

Now, with government services set to jump on board the biometric chain, this is predicted to increase dramatically. Millions of Australians won’t be able to avoid this facial recognition push.

The plan has slowly been creeping behind the scenes throughout 2020.

    TRIALS COMPLETED
The move comes almost a year after the government’s head of digital identity and ‘chief strategy officer’ revealed myGovID would phase out myGov’s existing authentication system.

At the time, he said the two systems would be integrated before the end of this financial year to improve the user experience and make the portal “…more like a banking experience”.

We all know by now that ‘convenience’ and ‘security’ are often used to implement further control.

TOTT News reported in March that the myGovID program was set to transition from its beta building phase to public testing of limited groups of welfare recipients.

It was announced that under what the Digital Transformation Agency calls ‘identity proofing level three’ (IP3), the use of facial verification and ‘liveness detection’ in the app will begin.

The organisation has since completed their month-long pilot of the new ‘digital identity credential’ on the myGov online services portal. It wrapped up this past June.

“The myGov identity pilot was available to test for 149 participants who opted to be part of it,” the spokesperson said.

“The DTA and Services Australia are currently considering the insights from the pilot. This will inform the next steps before a fully public integrated system is released.”

Appearing at Senate Estimates, CEO Randall Brugeaud said the agency is currently ensuring that the quality of the biometric is “exactly where it needs to be” before “it is pushed out to the masses”.

Don’t hold back, mate. Thank you confirming this program is for the masses.

A report from international consultancy firm McKinsey found that COVID-19 had fast-tracked Australia’s technology adoption by as much as five years in eight weeks.

    Problem, reaction, solution.

Everything about this saga has been used to usher in a plethora of new control measures.

What on earth could it all be for?

    COVID SOCIAL CREDIT INTEGRATION
This move towards facial recognition integration in government services is part of a national push to a model that resembles a digital version of the failed Australia Card.

Australia’s digital identity strategy has cost the federal government more than $200 million so far in hopes of making identities and individuals “more monitored, observable and accountable”.

The news today signifies that the mobile apps built on the DTA’s Trusted Digital Identification Framework (TDIF) are now released after five years of testing. The apps, myGovID and Digital ID, are developed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and Australia Post, respectively.

Is it no surprise that this is happening in 2020? Right as the world experiences ‘the big event’?

Force millions onto welfare and then deny their services in the future unless logging in with their face. This allows identification to be updated in live-time. The picture is clear as day.

This is the first integration of the Australia’s coming social credit system. Biometric surveillance systems are already in place across the country, and it is likely that because plans for a national facial recognition database failed last year in the senate, this is the covert replacement.

The first part of the plan, track and trace the identities of citizens in this country, is gaining momentum once again. From here, the second half is to establish ‘correct behaviours’ for ranking.

COVID-19 has provided the perfect opportunity, not only for the surveillance state to grow, but for a great social divide to emerge between the NPC masses and those who reject the official narrative.

The emerging era of COVID thoughtcrime already entails: COVIDSafe group monitoring, an online taskforce targeting free thinkers, calls that ‘conspiracies’ threaten national security and more.

As this psychological event continues in Australia, the future will get more tense, especially in anticipation for the vaccine. Soon, anything ‘anti-public health’ will be painted as terrorism.

We already know facial recognition is already tipped to merge with social distancing measures.

What better way to introduce a social credit system to Australia?

Once in place, it will become even more difficult to reverse. Concerned citizens must speak NOW!

This is a brief account (and a personal opinion) of life in Victoria, Australia these days:

It looks like the experiment on our society was 99% successul (the percentage is based on my observations). Most people were compliant to the draconian and illegal regulations based on a fake pandemic. Even more so, citizens live in fear and are ready to submit to any coercive measures without questioning.

This is an update from the goverment website as at 24 January 2021:

Victorian Chief Hell Officer has recommended that mask wearing is no longer necessary in certain settings.

    "Masks are only mandatory:

    -on public transport
-when riding in a ride share or taxi
-inside shopping centres, including the retail stores inside shopping centres, such as clothing stores
    -inside indoor markets
-in large retail stores (over 2000 sqm), such as department stores, electronics stores, furniture stores, hardware stores or supermarkets
-on domestic flights to and from Victoria
    -at airports
    -in hospitals and care facilities"
    https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavi...4-January-2021

It is full summer, 40 degrees Celsius outside and I still see people walking in the street by themselves, or riding their bikes or inside their cars wearing a mask. In the shops (under 2,000sqm) both employees and customers wear masks, although they are not required.
I asked the owner of a supermarket why he doesn't take the masks off his employees. The answer was that the info is not in the news yet and they would have to explain to every customer why they don't wear masks, so they'll wait until it's in the news to take them off... go figure!

I talk to people about the COVID vaccine. They say they are going to take it in order not to lose their jobs. As if it matters to have a job when you are no longer able to do it. Anyway, they are looking forward to the 1st of February, when they start the vaccination campaign. Thankfully, it is not mandatory. The PM wants to vaccinate 80% of the population. I don't think they will have any opposition whatsoever.

Apart from masks, 1.5 metre distancing, temperature taken in sporting facilities and medical clinics, and vaccines, the contact tracing QR link is now almost everywhere you go. I saw the bar code even at the Woolworth supermarket, asking people to scan it to keep track of Covid. If you go on holiday or to the doctor, you must give a declaration whether you travelled interstate, or overseas, whether you had fever or flu like sysmptoms.

    On top of everything now:

"A permit system has been established for all domestic travel into Victoria.

From 5:59pm on 11 January 2021, you will need to apply for a permit to enter Victoria from anywhere in Australia.
The permit system is based on a traffic light system which allows for areas across Australia to be designated as green, orange or red according to their risk.

The permit system is for both travellers to Victoria and residents of Victoria returning home from interstate travel."
    https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/v...-permit-system

This way they hope to discourage the interstate travel. This is a big drama for Aussies as many have relatives in different states. Our beloved leaders are fully aware of that but, the more suffering, the better is written in their agenda.

I am looking forward to autumn, when probably a lot more cases will justify the queues at Covid testing and vaccination, along with more lockdowns, curfews and other measures that the sick imagination of the dystopian leaders will put into place.

In the meantime, some of us attempt to hold the line. There are days when strong negative energy permeates the atmosphere. I feel it from the morning and so do my dogs who become very restless. It takes a couple of days for the positive energy (for lack of a better term) to counteract it. But it does, always.

I do hope that something will click in the mind of the hypnotised masses, and they will be able to pierce the veil of lies and deceit before it is too late. The bravery of men inherited from our ancestors is in some latent form. One day it will come out to the surface, when enough is enough.

AMA (The Australian Medical Association) not backing vaccine passport amid transmission uncertainties

AMA President Omar Khorshid says the association is not backing a vaccine passport at this stage because so far none of the vaccines have been shown to stop transmission of the virus.

“We’re not backing a vaccine passport at this stage because none of these vaccines have been shown to actually reduce the chances of you catching the COVID virus nor transmitting it to other people,” he told Sky News.

“We’ll get more data about that in time but right now having been vaccinated doesn’t actually mean anything in terms of the chances of you bringing the illness into another country.

“Once we have data about herd immunity and how the vaccines work in that respect then there may be a place for some sort of vaccine passport.

“But I think that’s some months away as of yet”.

Facebook blocks Australian users from viewing or sharing news

    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-56099523

Facebook has blocked Australian users from sharing or viewing news content on the platform, causing much alarm over public access to key information.

It comes in response to a proposed law which would make tech giants pay for news content on their platforms.

Australians on Thursday woke up to find that Facebook pages of all local and global news sites were unavailable.

Several government health and emergency pages were also blocked - something Facebook later asserted was a mistake.

Those outside of the country are also unable to read or access any Australian news publications on the platform.

The Australian government has strongly criticised the move, saying it demonstrated the "immense market power of these digital social giants".

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said the ban on news information had a "huge community impact". About 17 million Australians visit the social media site every month.

I have embraced technology since I was a kid thanks to my father working as a computer engineer since the late 70s. I worked in big tech companies myself for the past 25 years being an IBMer for almost 8. And I keep telling people that for the most part, technology never really helped anyone. It divided and estranged us and gave the elites the supreme tool to enslave us.

Sure, I love calling people in Europe for free and I'm occasionally participating in discussions on various boards, like this one. Emails come in handy as well as having GPS signals that most likely come from ground based towers, but the insanely dense inter-connectivity pushed by the establishment is pure enslavement, designed to jail our spirit.

Having 100Mbit speeds on your mobile does not benefit you or me. It benefits our controllers! Yet young people aren't aware of the dangers and they're willingly embrace this insane race towards saturating the island in 1GBps microwaves.

It's not enough the WIFI has been purposely designed to operate in 2.4GHz (H2O) and 60GHz (O2) but the 5G network will soon switch on the 95GHz band - the same used by a military grade weapon called ACTIVE DENIAL SYSTEM used for crowd control.

Along with the DNA/RNA modifying vaccine for this common flu that kills millions on TV and the full on attack on the family unit and common sense values, not to mention the insane left movement, I would say the WAR is in full swing and is up to us to actively WISH and force our collective WILL towards a society based on EMPATHY.

ps. originally, it would have been about extreme measures in OZ, but drifted to a point it felt wrong to just delete everything..

The only exception is for people who work in industries considered high risk.

See, this is the thing. This is how they're going to do it. I expected as much, and it's typically very sneaky/very clever.

I absolutely do not want to take any vaccine, and 'they' know they cannot force me or anyone else to take it. That would never fly. A mandatory vaccine is a step too far towards 1984-land - legislatively it would upset even the normies. No, instead they'll introduce a 'vaccine passport', as they're touting over here. You'll need to have one to attend a public event, to use a shop, to walk into a pub, to even go to work. Etc. So, it won't be illegal to refuse the vaccine, but they'll make life intolerable for you if you do. In fact, virtually impossible.

I don't want the vaccine, but I strongly suspect a time will come where I will have no choice. I'm afraid that eventually all of us will have no choice but to bite the bullet and get it.
