More than 10,000 Australians have filed coronavirus vaccine injury claims

Taxpayers are facing a hefty bill for rare but significant coronavirus vaccine injuries, with at least 10,000 people planning to claim under the federal government’s no-fault indemnity scheme.

Services Australia is building an online portal, to be launched next month, for uncapped claims above $5000 from those who suffered injury and loss of income due to their COVID-19 vaccine, with compensation for medical costs and lost wages to be paid by the government.

Shine Lawyers head of medical negligence Clare Eves said the amount of the claims “could be really significant” for people who experienced rare but serious adverse vaccine reactions, such as stroke and inflammation of the heart.

“Adverse events, even though they happen to a tiny proportion of people, for the people it does impact it’s really quite devastating,” Ms Eves said.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration recorded 78,880 adverse events linked to COVID-19 vaccination, representing a small minority (0.21 per cent) of the 37.8 million doses administered to 18.4 million people, by November 7. The vast majority of those 78,000 adverse events were mild side effects, including headache, nausea and sore arms.

More than 10,000 people have registered their interest to make a claim since registration opened on the federal health department’s website in September, official data shows, meaning it would cost at least $50 million if each claim is approved.

Ms Eves said significant brain or cardiac injury could result in a claim in the hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars.

“When you’re dealing with something like a stroke, you could have someone who is a truck driver and can’t go back to work, or an accountant who can’t process big numbers anymore,” she said.

“In severe cases, people go on to have multiple strokes and may need 24-hour care.”

People who experienced a moderate to significant adverse reaction resulting in a hospital stay of at least one night are covered by the government’s vaccine indemnity scheme.

Claims for more than $20,000, including death claims, will be assessed by a panel of independent legal experts and compensation paid based on their recommendations.

It's crazy how that video is actually from two years ago. It is funny but they're a bit self-righteous, and their "global warming" spiel makes them lose a bit of credibility now I reckon. Nonetheless, the blonde is attractive. I wouldn't say no to letting her explain something like intersectional feminism to me over a glass Shiraz at a vegan restaurant of her choice, provided that we agreed to split the bill because, you know, equality.

I honestly can't bear to watch this. The verbiage is designed to confuse. Spells. It is hard for me to make sense of any of it!
Taking the masks on and off is nothing short of ridiculous.

I watched this just now and I was cheering Craig Kelly on like mad - he is such a stalwart of common sense, but he is alone it seems, the rest of Parliament seem to snigger openly at him, but this is appalling, I just cannot find the words to express how disgusting their vote is, it goes against every decent principle our forefather/mothers managed to build. This parliament is now officially working against the Australian people.

Craig & Clive are making all the right noises but I wonder if they are controlled opposition, just in case they can't pull off a SCOMO in May 2022.

Also with Monica from Reignite Australia Democracy from Victoria was on the verge of creating her own party then was thrown in prison and spent three weeks in prison. When she came out she has suddenly decided to join up with Craig & Clive and the UAP. It wouldn't surprise me if she was threatened in prison and took the deal.

Then we have Pauline Hanson for prime minister, she has good intentions but she's not the brightest spark.

If they were to run the others I might have considered would be Matt Canavan but he has no kahoonas, even thou Steve Bannon has been supporting Matt and maybe by extension POTUS Trump.

My pick for prime minister would be George Christensen (intelligent, aware, courageous and his heart is in the right place) but unfortunately he is bowing out of politics at the end of his term, I wonder if there isn't some external pressure on him to resign.

The option I am considering in the May 2022 election is crossing out all candidates listed and writing on the ballot " no suitable candidate to follow my will". In other words dissolve the government.

But the thought crossing most peoples mind is " the country would collapse because no one is there to run the country for us ".

Well the politicians don't do anything now, so how would it be any different.

Consider how can SCUMO be proposing having from this december only 10 sitting days out of 7 months until july 2022.

If he can afford so much time off what does he really do?

Does he take long lunches or sit in his office making paper airplanes, picking his nose, screw around on twitter under an alias and watch porn.

It proves they really do nothing, except what their globalists masters want them to do, which is a no brainer for SCUMO.
