Hey Doug, what wars has Trump ended again? I hear the lip service, and see him playing yo yo with numbers of troops on the ground same as other presidents, but much like the lip service I hear from him about being a champion for the forgotten man while Julian Assange rots in prison because of him, I'm seeing no action to back up the campaign rhetoric.

Perhaps you can set me straight on what I'm missing here?

Another great copy/paste Chester, and still no clarifications about all the continued persecution of Julian Assange, the supposed ended wars, black ops, and strangling sanctions for those who refuse to bend the knee to empire.

Is this the best we can do?

As to the “Start thinking for yourself!” ending?

    Pfffttt...

Wars often happen on levels that most are not even aware of.

The press conference from the DOD yesterday refers to Directed Energy Weapons and Cyber Warfare as just a couple of the methods, and I'm quite positive there are many more that nobody will speak of publicly.

With that in mind, I cannot say with certainty that President Trump has not gotten the US involved in any new wars during his presidency.

I do know that he hasn't used war as a re-election tool, in the way that so many presidents before him have.

Gracie May. I need to correct myself. I have been saying Trump "ended" wars, where I meant he hasn't ,started any. I don't really know the truth of the application"ended" regarding war and conflict. It could be sanctions, and pressures other than direct killing that continues and your term war could include all, which is certainly fair.

And for that matter, I don't really know the truth of the application or the word "started" as all thru history war has gone on by humans and can be traced forward to this very day
So we need to excuse the exacts and accept the "in general" term here . Thats how I mean it. And if that cant be accepted, then we may as well close up shop on all language as it is never truly agreed upon.

    humans, were doing our best

Is it possible that you feel Scientific American is compromised because they disagree with your current world view, and the Police Benevolent Association gets "kudos", because they do agree with your world view?
It's not the right question. It's far too limiting and naïve to believe that political 'agreement or disagreement' in media, publishing, or corporate circles exists. It's down to who's having their strings pulled, who sits in whose pocket. Scientific American are obviously being leaned on to endorse Biden. That's as clear as a clear blue sky. As a widely read publication they have the power to sway minds, and to win votes. They don't give opinions, they supply narratives - that's what the media IS!

And yes both sides have benefactors and special interests lobbying for them. But in this election cycle there's another variable to that equation, and it should be obvious what it is: Biden, like Obama, like the Clintons and the Bushes, are establishment, the status quo, the war machine, the powers that be – the swamp. Trump is not. Since he came into office he has done, as he himself would say, many tremendous things. See Chester's post, and snort away if you wish, but those are his accomplishments - and I believe there are many more we don't even know about. But the long and short of it: Scientific American have shown themselves to be swamp controlled.

No, it's not, but certain people are sure creating that illusion.
"Creating" that illusion? I'm very sorry you think it's an illusion, and that we here are somehow "creating" it. If the overwhelming evidence piled mountain high on this forum doesn't convince you that we are in a fight against an oncoming dystopian hell, then nothing more I can say ever will.

while the other side gets all their news FOX, OANN, InfoWars, X22, and right wing political hacks?
I don't get my news from Fox, it doesn't screen in the UK for a start. Although I do appreciate the Tucker Carlson clips I've seen. I think his reporting is probably closer to the actual truth than any other mainstream media outlet. No mainstream reporter or journalist in the UK is even in the same universe as him. All our media are soulless marionettes, programmed to say the same words and beat the same drum - every channel, every paper, every day. And all of it is "orange man bad" without one single deviation in the last fours years. Not one. The historic middle-east peace deal Trump signed this week didn't not only make the headlines, it didn't even feature in 'additional news'. It was media blackout (no one I know is even aware that it happened). That, is the media. That is the swamp.

And I don't watch Infowars, or X22 hope porn.

I wish you could see it from my side of the pond, Gracy. We don't live in a democracy here. We don't have any Trump 'outsiders to the system' over here. We are ruled by a monarchy, and by the fat, rich, pedophilic atrocity called Westminster and the City of London. We don't have a Republic, we don't have a Constitution, we don't even have Free Speech. It's not legally recognised, and it certainly isn't honoured - it can in fact be severely punished. I admire and indeed am envious of your system. Ours is a broken record that's been playing for 500 years and more. Thousands, millions, fled this country to escape it, to begin again and create America. I don't hate my country, there are wonderful people here, but our system, its institutions, the body politic, are archaic, monolithic and never, ever changing.

That's what we want out of. That's why we look to another way – a hugely increasing number of us. The place this increasing number are looking to is your side of the pond. And yeh, to Trump. If the operating system is corrupt you have to reformat, reload, and reboot. I believe, and we increasingly believe, Trump is offering that new operating system, one that could hopefully spread worldwide.

And you should know, I'm classically left leaning, classically liberal. In 2008 I was ALL behind Obama. I thought he was a beacon of light, that ray of hope for the world we'd all been waiting for. I was excited and optimistic when he won. As I've said many times, it's not so much the party that interests me or sways me, it's the character and integrity of he or she who holds the key positions that's important. I was wrong about Obama, very wrong - we all were.

Idealistic? Maybe. But truthfully, honestly, I believe Trump is the only hope we have.

American in my mind is a Country that , once entered legally, you can sit on your ass or you can make a Million. Its up to you. Its based on merit, free market and competition with an assortment of freedoms and perks added along the way.
As I have always said, its the best of all bad systems because the Human is not quite ready to come into the light for any communal, "we are one" paradigm

so no Trump??? please tell me why Biden?

Alright you guys, I'm going to go ahead and get out of the way of this rolling Trump Train. Hopefully I didn't ruffle too many feathers in voicing my questions and concerns, but somebody had to do it because I really do see a big potential problem here with the attitude that there's nothing needing questioning, assuming everything the home team does is pure, and in the feeling that one is on god's side so to speak in this supposed epic battle of good vs. evil.

If y'all think the only way Trump can lose is by "the bad guys" cheating, then that makes both sides unlikely to concede because who in their right mind concedes, in a life and death street fight. This potentially means big trouble no matter who really wins, I'm just glad I'm well supplied, locked and loaded, and live outside the city.

I'm still thinking more and more that we're being set up for this. Like Chris Martenson always says "it didn't have to be this way", but here we are so that's where I'll leave it.

See you on the other side

P.S. FWIW Doug, I don't care for any of these politicians strutting and lying their way across my tv screen every day, that includes Joe Biden and company.

I've found no answer other than "not trump" and some strangely veiled threats about he violence continuing if trump is re-elected.. so maybe there's that? less riots?

Another great copy/paste Chester, and still no clarifications about all the continued persecution of Julian Assange, the supposed ended wars, black ops, and strangling sanctions for those who refuse to bend the knee to empire.

Is this the best we can do?

As to the “Start thinking for yourself!” ending?

    Pfffttt...
Here's what the Obama administration's Secretary of State said regarding the prospects of Middle East Peace -

Yet Trump gets it rolling (Saudi's are next...and four more are on tap) - What are the Iranian Mullah's going to do when they find themselves isolated? What will the good folks of Iran who want the Mullah's gone do?

    Thanks Trump!

And regarding Assange - that chapter ain't over yet. But what's been maintained by the DNC and the "cops on the take" and a "DNC mouthpiece media" is what everyone else already makes book on... Seth Rich got the ball rolling and Assange put out a $20K reward for any info leading to the capture and conviction of Rich's murderer.

As for healthcare - Obama Care was a sellout to the medical cartel and everyone knows it. Who wants insurance for mainstream western medicine anyways? And under what "right" foes anyone have to force someone like me to pay for FraudCare and Western Death Technology via some government mandate?

Thanks Trump for eviscerating it! And thanks for exposing fake conservatives like McCain who (we knew all along) was Washington "owned" "establishment.
All the above is all and only my opinion - all subject to change and not meant to be true for anyone else regardless of how I phrase it.

It was always because of the Martians, uh the Russians.

Directly from the donkey's mouth, as recorded on video during his testimony before the House Homeland Security Committee, this morning:

That Twitter thread offers more words of "wisdom" from the most senior official of the FBI (who sent, a few months ago, 15 federal agents to investigate a "noose" in a garage, while seemingly ignoring the riots that have been tearing some cities of the U.S. apart):

OK GRACIE MAY. got it and thats fine Its basically, cant stand Trump. I have said many times over the years on many post that we have gotten exactly what we deserve. I witnessed the dumbing down of America for many years, History channel being turned into sensationalist garbage, shows like Mob houswives, The Kardashians , the situation , honey boo boo , total reality show garbage, fake, canned, and eaten up by the public who showed by ratings $$$ they would eat more and more , rather than Science,NOVA , Humanities , Classical arts ,Music and higher learning.

Donald Trump, entertainer, PT Barnum Tv personality comes along and was perfect timing. He worked with Vince McMann in Pro wrestling, the epitome of rehearsed fake , actually honest real fake, and guess what , HE WON !! He beat out all the other all B **** CAREER POLITICIANS, and in doing so , then also actually did a better job in a short 4 years then thay all did in their careers .

Look again at Chesters list of things he has gotten done!! its incredible, 1.8 Billion for Autism?? The so called NAZI? And thats why they hate him! And thats why I will never again vote for any of these corrupt useless and disgusting people that represent that Dem party today. Doesnt matter what TRUMP does, people drank the coolaid and cant see past the hate. Best thing that could happen is Trump wins, and then the Democratic party rebuilds into what it once stood for and goes for the next election

As an outsider — a stupid Canadian, eh, who should not try and opiniate on American politics, eh — I completely agree with this statement of yours, Doug. Even though politics is perhaps an overrated factor in the whole scheme of things, I do believe that what you have proposed would be the best outcome.

The Democratic Party has changed a lot during the past decade, perhaps irremediably so. Andrew Jackson and John F. Kennedy, to name only those two past Democratic presidents, would not recognize it today. They would most likely disavow it.

I sincerely hope that Joe Biden and the Democratic Party, in this current election cycle, are defeated and burnt to the ground. The Party can then work to slowly rise from its own ashes so as to become, once again, a complementary or adversarial voice of reason. Right now, it is mostly crybaby lunacy.

Very many people, in the past few years, have stated: "I did not leave the Democratic Party, it left me".

I am including a few short videos that exemplify and bring light to that conundrum and that, as far as this thread is concerned, can help one answer: Why Biden? (or, oppositely, why Trump?)

Give us a Tulsi Gabbard on the left and that just might change.... but that's just not how the DNC rolls--nor the RNC before DJT steamrolled the party into submission with well-overdue non-partisan populist politics (for all intents and purposes).

I know it's unpopular with some members of the forum to park the bright-red fire engine in the drive, but as a non-partisan observer that's just the way I see it. That said, we count on you, Gracy, to keep us in check if we ever start reeving that fire engine just a little too hot

Thanks T Smith, very concise and diplomatic.

The DNC has long since shown their true colors in how they outlaw any semblance of the traditional left amongst their ranks, and show their asses on a daily basis, the only reason I've never really commented on that is because there's never been any need to here, it's already out there in spades.

Reminds of the hollow carcass Neil Young describes in "The Needle and the Damage Done". Yep, that's today's democratic party, a setting sun.

Quote I've seen the needle and the damage done
A little part of it in everyone
But every junkie's like a settin' sun

Now as to the keep us is check part, that's what I just concluded, as IMO that horse done left the barn already which is why I'm done. I see a disaster of equal proportions lining up on this new hard right wing, fire engine red Trump phenomena, and recent comments have been my way of ringing the warning bell, against all odds, that danger lies straight ahead in it's unquestioning, and ever increasing intensity.

There can be only one, and all are compelled to choose a side in what I consider to be a false, either or choice.
