If I may ask a question, what is up with American mothers/children and huge usage of baby formulas?

I mean, all baby needs, before starting with solid foods, is breast milk. It's the best possible food for a small baby.

If a woman doesn't want to breast feed, well than, she shouldn't have had a baby in the first place.

Or am I missing something here?

My wife and I started to puree our meals when our son was 4 months old. Se also breast fed until recently. He is now 2 and healthy. Formula never even came up in the conversations.
The human body is an amazing piece of engineering. If a baby becomes ill the mothers body will actually produce antibodies in the breast milk to combat the illness. You can not get That
from a can.

In America baby formula was in very short supply if you could find it. If I'm to understand it correctly, the Biden administration closed a baby formula plant not understanding the repercussions. My memes were pointing out the evil of decision making in America.

Actually, breast milk these days can be quite toxic, such as from PFAs (the "Forever Chemical" in stain and water-repellent fabrics, nonstick pots and pans, paints, cleaning products & fire-fighting foams --See: : https://www.verywellhealth.com/toxic...k-study-518588)

In the US, how that compares statistically to the safety of commercial formulas depends on how much trust you put in the FDA.

But for modern moms who have to work and can't take time out to breastfeed or even to pump milk to be fed to their babies later, there's no real choice.
And breast feeding (if you've never tried it), isn't all that easy either, even for stayathome Moms......

The FDA (aka as the front for big pharma) has motivation to demonize breast milk. $$$$$$$$$$$ - both in sales and in sick children needing drugs as formula provides no additional immune protection as antibodies are passed from mother to baby.
