A time long ago, in the 1980's, we'd use maths and imagination because descent video game graphics hadn't been invented yet. Believe me, it sucked; everything took 87 times longer. However we'd play games like this, set in a parody dystopian future where a psychopathic computer controls everything. Why are so many of these posts blank?

Probably because they are images hosted by Facebook. Some web browsers have features to protect you from Facebooks attempts to take away every last bit of internet privacy from you, but they also block these images. Sorry Facebookers, I don't get to see some of your posts.

I'm not sorry, I'm proud. (never had facebook till about a week ago... I made a profile named Nuja BIDNAZ for my stupid VR set up that requires FB)

A blank post can also be due to posts being from Twitter, if you don't do Twitter.
In those instances, since I don't do Twitter, the post is just blank, though if I click on Post Quick Reply, I can see the link and copy and paste it into my browser, if I'm curious enough, and then I can see it.

Facebook container for Firefox does it for me. To view these posts, you can usually click "reply with quote", then select the URL only, then right click and "open in a new tab", then cancel the reply dialogue.

That's odd, I don't do facebook or twitter or any of that, and I see all posted images, tweets etc, no problem. I'm using Firefox.

Same for me, i don't have any connected account on this pc, and still see all the posts correctly, i'm using Chrome and i also use Incognito Mode most of the time in all websites i visit, so there's no linked or open sessions to anything else ever

One thing i noticed is that for youtube, for example, if i watch the video embedded on the Avalon page i don't get any ads, even in incognito mode, it kinds of seems to know my youtube account, but if i open the video on a separate tab, then it's not logged in to my youtube account and i can see ads every video i open.

I have a youtube premium subscription, so i never see ads, except as mentioned above, when opening an Avalon video on a separate tab, outside of the Avalon thread

I don't login to youtube either, that's the trick for avoiding ads, and that, for me, includes embedded videos too thankfully - I cannot abide ads!

Another possibility is that some people may have ad or script blockers running in the background (browser plugins) which maybe interfering with how images or other embedded content is displaying on the page.
