I've pared back my list of news sites considerably since the 2020 election. I have rejected every major news site, so I get no direct news from CBC. They lie so badly and insist on ramming their rhetoric down my throat as though I agree with their agenda, as you must assume if you continue to read the tripe that everyone else already agrees and there is no need for debate. It is sickening.

Both Liberals and Conservatives were targets of my news vetting. My two prime sources of news are now Gateway Pundit and Steve Bannon. Even those I can barely stomach any more. PP is amateurish and sensationalist but at least they list the top ranked news stories. Newmax, AON, and America's Voice are better but they have been on the wrong side of a few stories of late that make me question their allegiance. I have very little tolerance left for whining and opinions and speculation - which seem to be what has been sucked into the pipes on the tail end of the facts vacuum created by the cancel culture and the Marxist insurrection of the west.

I can spin my own yarns as well as any. I don't need news outlets spinning their own. Either state the facts and the proof or get out of my face!

Monsef admitted to lying on her refugee application form to Canada, falsely claiming that she was born in Afghanistan, when in fact she was born in Iran. And in 2013, Monsef tweeted that “sharia fascinates me”, a reference to Islamic law that will govern Afghanistan under the Taliban.

'Justin Trudeau's Minister for Women and Gender Equality Maryam Monsef today referred to the Taliban as “our brothers” in a message begging for safe passage out of Afghanistan for “any individual”.


The comments were made by Monsef during a virtual news conference on the federal response to the situation in Afghanistan with fellow Liberal ministers Marco Mendicino (immigration, refugees and citizenship), Harjit Sajjan (defence) and Marc Garneau (foreign affairs).

The Taliban is currently designated as a terrorist entity according to Public Safety Canada. According to the department:

The Taliban uses terrorist tactics, including the extensive use of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and suicide attacks, to further its political objectives and is known to attack civilian targets, government compounds, International Security Assistance Force (ISAF)/Afghan bases, military targets in built-up urban areas, as well as infrastructure projects. In 2011, the Taliban was responsible for the majority of civilian casualties in Afghanistan and have been known to carry out a number of attacks on girls' schools in particular. I liked how the police didn't stop the people from chasing him out. They just walked along. I am sure that they wouldn't let anyone get close enough to take a swing at him though.

I also liked how some people in the crowd addressed him by his first name to make it more personal.

That caught my attention also. It felt like they're calling him that because they no longer view him as a PM or someone who has the interests of Canadians at heart. Fair play to those police doing just enough to keep everyone out of harms way but not prevent true feelings be expressed.
