You sound like my sister. Maybe you're right...

Of course I am sure that is what was said about the communist movement in China in the early 1900s, Russia during the Bolshevik revolution, The Nazi uprising in the 1930s...

    Rolci:
Quote Lockdown? What lockdown? THERE IS NO LOCKDOWN. Nothing has REALLY changed. You still go where you want and do what you want, no? Did they install prison bars on your doors and windows? We have "lockdown" regulations here too but where I live people ain't stupid, we come and go as we please. We don't even wear masks. If the police were to stop someone, we just say we're going to the shops. If anyone asks about why no mask, we just say we have exemption.

Soneone here mentioned people being fined. I don't even understand that one. Simply no one pay the fines, no? What are they gonna do, imprison everyone? Then who will produce food? The police will start working on the fields or what?

Some people even complain about their kids having to spend 4hrs a day doing google classroom. Are you insane? Take your kids out of school, it's that simple. Just say you're home-schooling them. SO SIMPLE. Better than before, when they were getting brainwashed by the system. Don't you care for their future? Teach them SURVIVAL SKILLS, not frikin world was history. Grow food together in the garden, teach them SELF-SUFFICIENCY. This is a better time than ever to go OFF THE GRID. Get some solar panels, electric cooker, electric shower, heating, etc. NO MORE BILLS. Collect and filter (even distil if you want) rain water. no gas, no electric, no water.

I may be missing something here, but isn't the solution to the whole covid "crisis" that everyone act normal? That, and stop consuming TV and news channels, and the corporate media in general. Go off grid and live your life. Don't even pay attention to politics and it will go away. Even if you're old-school and not a breatharian like many of us now, then grow your own food and live free, no? Grow your own, make your own, bake your own, build your own. It's not even hard, AND it keeps you busy, no??

CFFS Backs Tennessee Bill Outlawing Businesses from Requiring Masks, Tests, Vaccines

Mesa, AZ – Unconstitutional requirements for consumers to wear face masks in privately-owned businesses that serve the public may be a thing of the past in Tennessee, if state legislators approve a newly introduced bill in the state house. Citizens for Free Speech (CFFS), a nationwide non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the First Amendment, hailed the legislation as being an enormous step toward restoring the constitutional rights of citizens in all states.

“This is precisely what we have been calling for in all 50 states,” exclaimed CFFS Executive Director Patrick Wood. “We hear from business owners and employees from across the country who don’t want to enforce oppressive mandates, but they feel forced to do so under penalty of fines or closures at the hands of state officials.”

Gary Humble, founder of the activist organization Tennessee Stands, agrees, arguing that the bill “removes business owners from the threats of cancel culture and the political conversations surrounding masks and other overreaching policies.”

Republican state representative Susan Lynn, along with two co-sponsors, introduced the legislation on February 9, which “prohibits a person from denying an individual the full and equal enjoyment of goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations of a place of public accommodation, resort, or amusement on the grounds of the wearing or use of a medical device, or whether the individual has received medical treatment.”

The specific language in the bill would do more than outlaw businesses from requiring customers to wear face masks, which have been found to be dangerous for some healthy people. If passed, it would also prohibit businesses of public accommodation from requiring negative COVID-19 tests or proof of vaccination before serving customers.

“The idea that business owners, acting upon direct orders from government officials, should restrict the opportunity for free people to engage in commerce based upon medical procedures they may or may not have received is simply unconscionable,” said Wood. “We have long feared that the face mask mandates were only the beginning; that forcing people to cover their faces in public would lead to public acceptance of more onerous requirements such as negative tests and vaccines to simply live and interact in public places. Sadly, that’s exactly what is happening.”

“Passing this law is a big deal, Humble added. “We have abandoned laws that have been on the books for decades. We are pretending that the ADA and HIPAA laws just don’t exist anymore.”

Wood is hopeful that more state legislatures will follow the lead of the Volunteer State.

“Sometimes, all it takes is for one or two states to lead the way, and suddenly the dominos are tumbling down from one end of the country to the other,” he said. “CFFS stands ready to assist the courageous Tennessee representatives in generating support for this bill in any way we can.”

Partial lock downs have served their purpose. We have no idea what the world would look like right now, if no preventative measures were taken.

Think back to the flu season of 2019. That is what the world would have looked like, except a little better.

No, ERnie, because without partial lockdowns, masks etc...there would have been flu plus covid. The prophylactic measures taken prevented all kinds of infectious illnesses, besides covid. And still, many hospitals were overwhelmed.

I think everyone deserves a pat on the back for getting through 2020 and early 2021. For some it's been a minor inconvenience, for others...well they deserve medals. But collectively humanity has probably pulled off something pretty amazing. We'll see.

I understand why you believe this to be the case but your beliefs do not seem to be supported by observation or any scientific studies.

Here is a link that list 11 peer reviewed papers that each found that lockdowns do not work.

    Another point to consider is:
People who refuse to wear masks are also not getting tested for covid-19.

This means that all the new cases and when there are surges in cases that it is masked people testing positive.

Mass hysteria is likely to blame for most of this "pandemic" which is why the countries with the most media and news influencing the population, the more severe the lockdown.

Just look at this world map of deaths per million people.

Cambodia has recorded ZERO Covid-19 deaths yet threatens 20 years in prison for breaking lockdown, France calls in 4,400 police to enforce curfew in Paris

New legislation adopted in Cambodia would make violating coronavirus measures a serious offense punishable by up to two decades behind bars. The harsh law has been criticized as a way to crack down on dissent.

Passed unanimously by the country's parliament on Friday, the law calls for a three-year prison sentence for those who break quarantine orders, and up to twenty years in jail for any group that intentionally spreads the virus.

Cambodia's Health Minister Mam Bunheng hailed the law as a way to "protect public health."

The southeast Asian nation has registered 932 Covid cases since the start of the pandemic, but has yet to record a single death linked to the virus.

Critics claim that the law is excessive and can be used by the government to crackdown on political opponents. Human Rights Watch (HRW) said in a statement that the legislation will "further erode the rights of activists and dissidents."

"Imposing ridiculously harsh penalties for Covid-19 infractions goes against both public health and human rights principles," HRW's deputy Asia director Phil Robertson said in a statement.
SOTT Comment: Isn't this the case with emergency Covid legislation everywhere? It is not the police's job to enforce the lockdown whims of UK ministers - former senior judge Lord Sumption
The law was passed days after exiled opposition leader Sam Rainsy was sentenced in absentia to 25 years in jail over an alleged plot to oust Prime Minister Hun Sen, who has ruled Cambodia for 36 years.

Cambodia is far from the only country to impose harsh punishments for those who run afoul of Covid measures. Last month the UK government threatened an up to 10-year prison term for anyone caught falsifying their travel history when entering the country in breach of quarantine rules.

France calls up 4,400 officers to enforce 6pm curfew in Paris amid compliance concerns

"If the police find groups of people in which respect for social distancing cannot be guaranteed, in particular on the banks of the Seine and in public parks and gardens, they are instructed to proceed with their evacuation," the Paris police department confirmed on Friday, as it announced the mobilization of 4,400 officers this weekend.
SOTT Comment: Note that some parts of Europe are enjoying relatively warm weather for this time of year, and so the police are essentially being deployed to prevent people bonding, getting exercise, fresh air, and sunshine.
The police also urged people to ensure they reduce their social contacts to a maximum of six people and avoid any travel outside the Paris metropolitan area in order to prevent spreading the virus to other regions.
SOTT Comment: One would assume that getting out of the polluted city for a short break would be good for people's health and immune system. Note that there is no evidence healthy people showing no symptoms spread coronavirus.
"If, during gathering in public places, it is found that the sanitary measures in force are not respected, people will be dispersed immediately," the statement adds.

Since mid-January, the country has been under a nighttime curfew running from 6pm until 6am. However, its effectiveness has been called into question in recent weeks with 23 regions of France placed under "reinforced surveillance" over a rise in Covid-19 infection rates. Stricter measures have been brought in at weekends for Nice and Dunkirk already and will be imposed in the northern area of Pas-de-Calais as of Saturday.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Jean Castex backtracked on proposed plans for a weekend shutdown of the capital and other major towns, while the Paris deputy mayor has requested a three-week circuit-breaker lockdown to stem the spread of the virus, followed by a rapid reopening of businesses.
SOTT Comment: These 'circuit breakers' have been shown to do nothing to limit the spread of the relatively harmless coronavirus; other countries that have enforced them, such as Wales, have simply resorted to total lockdowns weeks later.
Despite calls for tough new measures in the capital, Paris will only see relatively minor additional restrictions, including the closure of non-food stores and shopping centers greater than 10,000m².
SOTT Comment: For the millions who have been out of work, unable to travel, and locked down in their houses for nearly a year, any additional and extension of restrictions will not seem 'minor' at all.
On Thursday, a group of protesters took over Paris' Odeon Theater as part of a series national demonstrations against the continued closure of cultural venues. As many as 80 people made their way into the 18th century building.

In recent weeks, media reports have shown crowds of people enjoying good weather in the capital, many maskless and flouting bans on social distancing.
SOTT Comment: If the coronavirus was the threat that governments claimed it to be, it's likely they wouldn't need to deploy increasing numbers of their security forces to remind citizens of the supposed threat.
