Dimash Kudaibergen - kazakh singer from Kazakhstan.
Part 1 of I Am a Singer (Chinese reality show)

This is a live performance from a Chinese singing competition, and this is his first performance as basically an unknown participant. The control, dynamics, and range displayed were mind blowing to me the first time I saw it (and still are now). It has brought me to tears many times. Dimash is an amazing singer.

Nothing connects me to the divine as instantly as your voice. You were once described by Sting as having the voice of an angel.

I once sat before you as you played your heart out on a really cold wintery day.

It was a small intimate setting. It was amazing. Someone lovingly placed a rug upon you as you sat there and played - you were very sick and not used to the colder climes. Whilst the body was weak, your voice soared and along with it, our spirits.

Whilst you couldn't see us physically, I wondered if you could see us in another way. Your energy radiated purity, goodness and beauty. How beautiful you were.

I'd give anything to see and hear you play again but I guess it will have to wait..

You left the planet a little while ago, so wherever you are in this great big universe, thank you...thank you...thank you...

My sister, a decade younger than me, said in tears today that she needs me, and that has sharpened all my human senses, to the highest value of sacrifice, by my simple realization that I am here for her as I am here for anyone.

If I have come this far in life, I could say, what is the difference or purpose other than to love unconditionally, especially in these difficult times (?)
Anyway, all is not lost! And I've been listening to this deeply for a few hours now.

Tony Anderson - All Is Not Lost(6:01)

Every human is a question asked to the Spirit of the Universe, again and again, because every human is an endless row of humans and in all humans together dwelling the Great Human Spirit.

This story may seem like nonsense to some and just my imagination, I understand that because it seems unreal to me. I have three cats and a dog. In my backyard I have large pine trees and a family of squirls. One squirl I call Hickory is amazing because he is fearless and runs down the tress bouncing his tail and teasing the animals into a frenzy. They play that game for hours. One of the cats is a stray I rescued and he's a bit feral. To my shock last week, I found Hickory dead on my bedroom floor, a gift from my cat. I have lost everyone I loved in my life so I’m not so good with loss. I picked the squirl up in tears I tried to heal him but realized quickly I had no gift for that. I felt very upset and restless and felt the need to walk. I walked rapidly down a wooded trail and nothing could shake my disturbed feeling. I stopped and suddenly realized there was a squirl staring at me on a branch two feet from my face. I just felt instantly what need to be done, I projected that feeling into the squirl, it bounced its tail and ran off. I felt and had this knowing that Hickory had loosely attached to my auric filed and found where he belonged. I was instantly happy and that weird odd restless feeling was gone. I had no grief over Hickory anymore and saw it was just the cycle of life.

Lunesoleil, I like the SUN video a lot - how refreshing to see older women expressing such a depth of feeling and experience. When she closed the doors at the end I wondered what I was going to be missing!

There was one eve after we went into curfewed lockdown that I escaped out of the house for a walk into the twilight. There was a distinct feeling of magic in the air. The misted air felt so soft and silky. I took giant appreciative gulps of it.

The freedom to just be with and by myself, and not another soul around, I galloped down the empty road and over the bridge where our creek runs and plunged headlong into the shadowy darkness of the bush.

The frogs were chorusing so loudly to each other from some corner beyond my night vision, so unusual for that time of the year.

I have never felt so grateful to be under the earths skies as I felt in that moment. I swear the clouds looked like they had been painted on. Like the ones you see in really old landscape paintings against a very dark sky. I was mesmerised. It was glorious and I celebrated my freedom with a victory pose.

As I emerged up and through the hilly back roads of my town, all the colours of the flowers and the trees seemed to leap out at me, as if they were expecting me.
My nose was almost in sensory overload. Earthy, bark and flowery Australian wild bush smells filled my nostrils.

In those moments, I wanted everyone to experience what I felt as I connected with all of mother earths beauty.

As I made my way back down into the valley where I lived, I wanted to smash every artificial light along the street that kept me from experiencing all of that velvety darkness.

Out of sheer desperation and months of grief and sadness of my son’s death, I gave up and collapsed to the ground in the dead of winter.

No more tears came. No sobs. Only silence. I landed in the center of Blessed Silence. No need to think or wonder or feel. Nothing.

When I got up, I thought it snowed until I took a closer look. There were tiny, tiny feathers all around me. I don’t know how many I collected. Lots. When I checked, I watched them disappear in my hand like snowflakes. And as if on cue, the feathers that had outlined my body did the same.

Good grief! What do you think the feathers were all about? This is an incredible occurrence, I am so sorry for your loss I cannot even bring to mind what such a loss would be like. A truly awesome event, in the real meaning of that word.

Peace like a River was one of my absolute favorite songs from that album, it seems to capture the clandestine spirit of resistance which many of us have felt "You can beat us with wires, you can beat us with chains, you can run out your rules but you'll never out run the history train...I've seen the glorious day Ayyyee oo oo...Just magic! I was speaking with my oldest friend about this recently, so it has a very powerful connection for me, this song. Thanks.

When I was traveling from South Korea, about twenty years ago, returning home after teaching English for a spell (not a good time in my life) this song appeared on the Singapore Airlines Radio show which was being piped through their entertainment system that month.
I was brought to tears, and I played it over and over again on that flight - it seemed to speak to me directly, and remind me of the growth and death of relationships, love gained and love lost. I am sorry if this seems maudlin, or mawkish!
This reawakened my emotional life, it was so powerful that it moved me from being half dead, to returning to my sense of self all over again, what a beautiful voice, an Angel.
