    Default Thanksgiving

    GIVING THANKS

For me Thanksgiving isn't about pilgrims, Indians, and turkeys ... it's about Givings Thanks.

    Here's my short list :

    THANK YOU LORD :

For being there for me and my family .. ( I hope I haven't used up my allotment )

For being born in the greatest country in the world .. with all it's faults, blemishes, and arguments.

For those who say they don't believe .... they remind me in my moments of doubt.

For those who are in the "service to others and not to self "

For not giving up on me ...( it would have been easy.)

For all I have and for all I don't.

... TO ALL HAVE A HAPPY THANKS GIVING ...

... AND REMEMBER TO GIVE THANKS. ...

I AM grateful for ALL that is
    and ALL that is NOT

I AM grateful for the experience of pain
that allowed my deepest appreciation of joy

I AM grateful for the lessons cleverly disguised as "challenges"
and the little "badges" of courage we get when we "overcome" them

I AM grateful for a President that inspired hope, and faith, and love of Country
and the opportunity to arise in defense of what is ours in defiance of those who would rob us

I AM grateful for a community whose members are dedicated to Truth and the process of Discovery
in the midst of apathy and diminishing creativity and those who have "given up" and "given in"

I AM grateful for what was
so as i observe what is attempting to replace it
i know its value sufficiently to stand steadfast in my refusal

I AM grateful for Love and the strength and courage it provides
in the face of adversity and insurmountable odds to deny the possibility of defeat

I AM grateful for kindness, and compassion whose warmth melts
the icy glaciers of indifference and coldness of hearts devoid of love

May we find the gems hidden in our tribulations
and claim the prize and badges that declare

" i have been on that journey and come out on the other side "

    job well done to all
    done like none other
    for none can replicate
    what is you

thank you for allowing me a glimpse into your journey
and for taking the time to peek into mine

We should defend our way of life
to an extent that any attempt on it is crushed,

    so that any adversary
will never make such an attempt in the future.

i know Thanksgiving is over ... but expressing gratitude is always a great practice that enhances the quality of life

i wanted to add one more:

I AM grateful for each tear
    that serves as my receipt
    for the price i paid
to gain the bit of strength each gave me

today, once again ... i invite the frequency and energy of thanksgiving and gratitude

I AM grateful for my furry baby

a few days ago, the little bugger ate 22 ounces of brownies!

and if she hadn't weighed 70 pounds it could have been lethal

and my heart would have been deeply broken ...

so my gratitude post is dedicated to her today:

    Baby Tella ...
    (shown in pic)

    she is my precious angel
    my little JOY Bringer
    my exercise coach
my connection to innocence and purity of heart

    my faithful companion
    who teaches me by example
    that the greatest "strength"?
    is found in complete vulnerability

    she opens my heart daily

    I AM so very grateful

PS i HAVE to add i am also VERY grateful for a very dear, dear friend here who acted with haste and quickly gave me the exact information i needed
to get it out of her and get her help!

these are the precious gems of life i treasure!

    Default Re: Thanksgiving

we have begun a New Year .. and because there is SO much at stake, it is the first year EVER i'm quite conscious it is 2021 and not confused in any way or in a haze still writing 2020

i've said before we're "VOTING" every minute of every day with our BEING

    and EACH of us COUNTS

we are each a thread on the developing intricate and infinite "Tapestry" of Life

    and so YOU count

    YOU matter

i'm here too ... so here's my contribution for today:

I AM so grateful for the spark of hope that lights my heart today
in the bewilderment of relentless assault upon my sensibilities
the darkness insisting to give up hope
    that all is lost
sneering at my tiny protests that sound so feeble in the face of their ferocious roar

    and yet ...

i know in my heart that as long as there is a tiny spark of love?
    there IS hope

i KNOW that the teeniest of lights
is able to pierce the deepest darkness

i know that love is not feeble
    but invulnerable

i know that joy cannot be quenched
    but only shared
    and sharing is expansion

and so i close my eyes
    and send out love
to the most remote corners of our precious planet
to the tiniest of its inhabitants

i cannot help what tomorrow will bring
    but right now?
    at this moment
it is a bit of love i offer
    to whoever might need it
we all do at one time or another

    may it warm
    and comfort
    just a little
