the more I chew on it, the more I think it IS a spoof. Not because I know what Stanley really looked or sounded like but because of 2 or 3 other factors. The lighting, the corny crackling while the interviewer speaks, and with those two doubts in place I then don't quite believe Stanley's way of letting it out is how he would have really said it.

All the info & links I have seen on it was on Disclose TV forum, which no longer exists. That was back in my "moderator" days when I had more time than I do now, it's also at least two hard drives ago so I don't have any bookmarks.

I guess it had to happen eventually... PMs usually get a title not long after they leave office, but this one's been an exception. I imagine it's because feelings ran high here in the UK about him being a war criminal, taking us into the Iraq war on fake facts (the "dodgy dossier"). It's taken 20 years for people's memories to fade, I guess.

Since then he's been a public image advisor to some of the world's worst despots and acquired a country mansion. The wages of sin are... a title.

Update - a petition on change.org to rescind this reptile's knighthood and KG is fast approaching 230,000 signatures.

In the 70s, while still living in London, I had a friend who had visited Kubrick’s home.
He reported that Kubrick was the most paranoid person he had ever met, who had surveillance cameras throughout his house, including on the garden path.

Maybe you could check with your landlady if she can confirm that.
