Default Indian scientists found "Uncanny similarity of unique inserts in the 2019-nCoV spike protein to HIV-1"

On December 31st, 2020 a study was published by Indian scientists that found uncanny similarities between 2019-nCoV spike proteins and the ones found on the HIV-1 envelope, which does not seem fortuitous.

Of note, the article was withdrawn 6 days later.

The scientists conclude the article with:

    Conclusion

Our analysis of the spike glycoprotein of 2019-nCoV revealed several interesting findings:

First, we identified 4 unique inserts in the 2019-nCoV spike glycoprotein that are not present in any other coronavirus reported till date. To our surprise, all the 4 inserts in the 2019-nCoV mapped to short segments of amino acids in the HIV-1 gp120 and Gag among all annotated virus proteins in the NCBI database. This uncanny similarity of novel inserts in the 2019- nCoV spike protein to HIV-1 gp120 and Gag is unlikely to be fortuitous.

Further, 3D modeling suggests that atleast 3 of the unique inserts which are non-contiguous in the primary protein sequence of the 2019-nCoV spike glycoprotein converge to constitute the key components of the receptor binding site. Of note, all the 4 inserts have pI values of around 10 that may facilitate virus-host interactions.

Taken together, our findings suggest unconventional evolution of 2019-nCoV
that warrants further investigation. Our work highlights novel evolutionary aspects of the 2019-nCoV and has
implications on the pathogenesis and diagnosis of this virus.

yea, we all knew that, of COURSE this is all coming out after biden was declared winner (we'll see how that aged after today)... haha

The Lab-Leak Hypothesis For decades, scientists have been hot-wiring viruses in hopes of preventing a pandemic, not causing one. But what if …? - NYtimes magazine... yep, lie the quietly disclose... typical MO

the hunter laptop scandal alone should have destroyed the biden dynasty for all time... if not for the media

Thank you for the correction. Doesn't change the findings though.

Many thanks indeed, but the date is all wrong. It was actually first published way back on 31 January 2020, nearly a full year ago, before being withdrawn for reasons that were unclear at the time.

Thanks Bill. Sorry, I wasn't aware. I still find these findings very interesting. I haven't heard any scientific discussions regarding these similarities besides comments made by Luc Montagnier sometime in April.

It's hard to keep up with all the information! Chris Martenson did a couple of detailed videos on this several months ago, looking very closely at what the Indian scientists had noted so early on.

Martenson is pretty smart, well qualified, and an excellent researcher, and he noted that the Furin Cleavage Site (which is what this small section of the genome is called) was highly, highly suspicious, and that it was almost certainly impossible that it had created itself naturally.

It looked EXACTLY like a splice: an analogy would be cutting and pasting a sentence of words and characters from elsewhere into an Avalon post that you wrote.
