Default Paraiso Verde - A self sustaining colony in the making

I have come to learn about a fairly new project with the name Paraiso Verde.

It is a settlement with a total size of 1597 hectares that are being developed with lakes, canals, settlements, and villages in the south of Paraguay - close to the provincial capital Caazapá.

    This is from their website:

    THE EL PARAÍSO VERDE PROJECT

We are establishing a private colony with an urban, suburban, and rural infrastructure. Lakes, canals, and water landscapes are being built and expanded upon. Agricultural and grazing areas have been created with room to grow. Our primeval forest will be enlarged through reforestation.

El Paraíso Verde offers its inhabitants private properties and recreational spaces. More than 1500 residential plots of land are in the process of being parceled out. We are creating a multicultural peace community with the potential of 20,000 inhabitants. El Paraíso Verde is already in the process of being established as the largest private colony in South America.

We plan to build an on-site, comprehensive school system. Starting with Kindergarten through high school and beyond, the education of our next generation will be geared toward self-development in harmony with the environment. We are especially excited for our future Schauberger-Tesla-Reich University El Paraíso Verde.  The areas of study in this institute for higher learning will focus on alternative physics, alternative energy, alternative medicine, and alternative agriculture, with the inclusion of a music and art college.

El Paraiso Verde is essentially an independent colony, managed with emphasis on ecological principles. Our goal is to be 100% autonomous if necessary.

    I am so Jelly

I wonder how many of these there are or in development/plan. Definitely need 1000s of these. If they are profitable and successful, then they can expand and go from 20K to 40, 60K....

I think they should make one thing mandatory. a weekly 10 minute meditation focused on draining the swamp in D.C. lol Well, any positive focus would be nice. But I wonder what 20,000 people could do to effect the heart of the cancer. I suppose that would piss off the control freaks and they would just turn the Green Paradise into swamp lands. haha

I wonder how easy the visa situation is in Paraguay?

    Some interesting facts of Paraguay

    - Marijuana business is expanding over there (growing industry, if I am not wrong it is top 3 in the world).
    - Capybaras are originally from Paraguay
    - Duels with guns in Paraguay are totally legal.
    - 95% of population are descendant of aborigines, called "mestissos".
    - the landlocked country exports most of their goods to Brazil and Argentina.
    - since 3 or 4 years ago many Brazilian companies/factories moved to Paraguay due to the low almost no tax incentive.
    - Paraguay has casinos!
    - Paraguay got a free market and open trade in the MERCOSUR.

Paraguay, used to be a cheap country in terms of cost of living, nowadays the price of everything is raising pretty fast, but north of Paraguay still have a lot of undeveloped land and a huge area of preservation. My guess this company settle down there not only for the beautiful landscape but also for the incentives and conditions the government offers and Bush also got land in Paraguay a while ago.

It was very relaxed (many years ago), the time I was living in Brazil I spent months between Ciudad del Este and Assuncion, someone that I know from Lebanon he was living in Brazil and had to move every 6 months to Paraguay, because Brazil allow a maximum of 6 months of stay for those without the proper Visa, but he could live in Paraguay for an entire year if he want to without any hassle. I think anyone can apply for a residency visa for a cost of around $4.000, also investing in the country like purchasing land or real estate as individual or as a company (it goes somewhere between $10.000 and $40.000), it is less expensive compared to many other countries, but one in order to immigrate to Paraguay will have to learn the weird Spanish or Guarani(native language) from Paraguay, they barely speak English there.

For clarification purposes only: Mestizos (originally referred to a person of combined European and Indigenous American descent) in Paraguay are mixed Spanish and Guaraní Native American descent
