I can underwrite so many posts above. Refuge. Family. Information. Therapy. I have always been a seeker and I have found PA years ago. I came here to learn and I found some of the most important books of my life here on the forum that helped me walking my path a bit further. I am here almost everyday - made PA the default page on my browser.

What's not to love?..Avalon is my safe happy place in a lonely world. I'm not a major poster on here but I love to learn about every aspect of the subjects that are discussed here. My brain is hungry for knowledge and there is no better place to find it than avalon. I respect and love every one of you. You've taught me so much and I thank you for that.

Well, I should probably answer this question myself.

Avalon was born of a couple of factors, back in August 2008: (For some of the background, see this thread: A Brief History of Project Avalon.)
    • I really needed to separate myself from Kerry Cassidy, as working together was becoming difficult and strained for us both. (But the split only really happened in 2010, after Avalon was already well-established.)
    • I was aware that Project Camelot was primarily focused on what one might regard as bad news reports. Like, "You thought we had problems. Wait till you hear THIS."
So a strong motivation for Avalon, as a standalone sister project, was to provide solutions, community, connectedness, empowerment, useful practical information, and so on. NOT just more and more news about problems.

It's hard to measure! But that probably does make up the themes of most of Avalon's 90,000+ threads. Of course, we have news and updates of various kinds — especially now — which definitely alert people to new problems, some of which may be critically important to be aware of.

And those threads are often near the top of the New Posts and New Threads lists. But as I think most reading this will know, there's FAR more to the forum than that. As I've often said, it's a vast free library, and I'm totally proud of it.

And I'm very well aware that in this new age of censorship, Avalon's role is increasingly important by the month. There's a LOT that can be found both on the forum and the Avalon Library (which is now huge) that is sometimes very, very hard to find elsewhere.

We do reach a lot of people: 10x-15x as many guests as members on any one day — and sometimes more. So Avalon's reach is a little bigger than one might first think. Of course, it's the members who collectively create this valuable resource. The mods just try (their best! ) to organize it all and make it user-friendly and accessible.

For me personally, it's a couple of things. It's a job — and I do work at it. I spend probably several hours a day quietly monitoring things, fixing things, replying to routine issues, and so on.

But the forum is also to me what it is to many others who've shared their thoughts here: a one-stop-shop of valuable news, information, ideas, fascination and inspiration; genuine friendship with many; and a kind of family, too.

Many have used that term, but I really do have no other family. I live alone with my dog, and I have no family members anywhere. I'm all on my own in the world, which I'm used to now but which really is pretty unusual by most human standards. Without Avalon, I really would have no-one to talk to — at all.

My life is very self-sufficient in many ways, but Avalon is a VERY large part of the balance and perspective I need, and a super-thick layer of wonderful icing on my own quite rich cake of interesting experience.

Always remember: it's you, reading this, who've made Avalon what it is.

I think I've aired this notion before, that a good number of Avalon members know/knew each other in other existences, previous lives, or have crossed paths before. That's what I suspect.
That is what I know to be true. "vers la flamme", like moths drawn to the flame, our souls are again and again drawn to the truth, and so we also find one another again, on our mutual way towards finding it lifetime after lifetime...

I take (Project) Avalon quite literally... if you don't know the history, Avalon was a place halfway between this reality and the faerie realm, which I've come to think of as the realm beyond this universe. And if time moves at a very different pace beyond this universe, then in Avalon it moves at a pace somewhere in between...

I learned an important lesson after joining the Project Avalon forum just as it begun in 2008, from someone who was onto something, and got a lot of people's attention, but in the end could not stay the path. It seemed they were running too fast.

It taught me to pace myself, trying to turn 10 years of remote viewing/meditation training into 20 by going deeper and further than I was taught was possible.

There were very difficult times, times I would call "crossing the abyss", and it was in those times that Avalon reminded me that there was an important reason to stay the path and see it through to the end. I still feel like I am taking my last few treacherous footsteps over that neverending footbridge over the Abyss...

Avalon would be the only right place to release the kind of information that had come of all this, the community here caters to and encourages a mentality that allows people here to remember things their souls had long forgotten, over countless lifetimes of being compelled to forget.

Avalon is the kind of place that can remind someone on such a challenging, largely solo journey that it will have all been worth it in the end.

Avalon is the gateway between where our souls are now, and where they came from and must ultimately return.

(See, it's hard not to get the various definitions of Avalon mixed up in your head once you've done your homework... ;-) )

Looking for answers is where I found project Camelot, having this feeling we are so much more than what we were lied about to in school. When Bill and Kerry were together in Camelot they did many video interviews that were just riveting with knowledge and the what ifs. My father took us on a trip across the United States when I was 8 years old, we went to so many places, Yellowstone, mesa Verde Indian cliffs, grand canyon,st Louis arch ,badlands of South dakota,Hoover dam, ect, ECT. I asked him why he did that at such a young AGE? He said he took us on that trip to expand our minds .

When project Avalon was born this was home to be among knowledgeable souls from all around the world as one big family that was brought together to learn from each other and once again expand our minds. It was a humble place where nobody says your crazy with those conspiracy thoughts or ideas but instead there is rational conversations of what's important to you and us as a collective soul. It's a place where you feel comfortable , and how cool is this to be having a dialog with minds from all over the world to learn, nurture, and be de_bunked as well.

This has been one of the best rides in my lifetime to participate here where I have learned much.

I came here not for a social experience, but I sure got one by joining!

    I found extended family here.

The real reason I came here was because I had been poking around online, and found the subject of et, and many other topics, which led to many experiences I had, that I needed to put into perspective for myself... I had found the Serpo information, Project Camelot, and many other things... And when I ran out of Camelot videos to watch, I realized there had been a split between Camelot, and that Avalon existed. I came here for a few years apparently prior to actually joining, I had thought I had joined much earlier... But that is what brought me here..

The second half of the question, why do I come back? Truth be told, I was a bit unsettled here when I first came, as there were some who liked to argue... I saw no point in name calling, shaming and the like, merely for a difference of opinion, as we are all soooo very different. I felt calling someone names will never change their opinions.. But perhaps a well articulated reasoning could... Or at least an understanding of the differences, and appreciation of such things could be found...

And indeed, I did stop coming for awhile... But there was a complete turnaround.. Ego seems to have been replaced with a sense of respect for the differences that others have, and a nice calm environment in which people can come and interact is the end result.. To me that is the most beautiful thing about this site... Humanity, with all of our quirks, all of our differences, (which are many given where we grew up, what we were taught, etc...) all joining in one environment to share, and expand... To teach one another what we learned along the way... To challenge the status quo..

For many, this place is a safe place for them to share things they do not even share with their own blood family! So this is quite a big deal in my opinion... And never are they shamed for sharing.. It's wonderful...

For this "Home" I am grateful... I am grateful for Bill and Kerry for having the tenacity all those years ago to embark on these projects, and mostly that they followed through... I thank the mods and members for making a true effort to keep this place friendly and cordial, as we really don't need to become the chaotic crowd that most alternative crowds are. The UFO field is a mess, yet here we discuss that and so many other things, and we get along.. I wish others would follow the example of those who keep this house a home...

It's a beautiful thing... And I am glad I was welcomed here. Thank You All... And Bill, Thank You!!!

Avalon to me is a special place. I will speak purely from the heart and say this; it really is a special place, and it is so special that I do firmly believe over the years it has been recognised as a threat by the cabal. Why? For one, because a lot of valuable information is here for free and an effort is made to logically analyse the information too. It is here, where I truly started to 'remember'. Something brought me here because it was time for me to wake up. I came here because very special beings woke me up in my sleep before coming here, twice.

I was never passionate enough to commit to anything I enjoyed until that moment in my life. Something was very wrong with me until that point.. I wasn't evil, just nothing satiated me, to the point I did not even bother going down the substance path, I already knew that wouldn't fill the void. I had discovered I had certain intuitive gifts by 2014-15. As I continued to take myself off the meds that inhibited these gifts, the gates swung wide open, and I started using nutritional supplementation to correct my brain chemistry. 7 years later, I have learned to control my abilities, have helped a small number of people with these gifts, and I won't stop learning, ever. Along with those gifts I developed an insatiable desire for wisdom and knowledge, to the point I try to learn multiple things at once.. I just can't help myself. This is the impact this place had on me.

Does it still have this kind of impact on me? Yes. I frequently am pulled back here, even though I don't participate much these days. This place is very important during these trying times, and as much as it has already achieved a 'special status' in my mind, much potential has yet to be reached here. So much so, that a next generation is definitely necessary in my opinion. Of course, that will be up to Bill to decide what he does with this place, especially with no family to take over.

I will also say I have met family here. I remember people even if they don't remember me. I'm talking specifically about spiritual family. Avalon is that place for me. Hopefully, it will survive and thrive during the coming storm. I believe it will.

Don't disagree with any of this. But there is also an actual physical place called Avalon, which I thoroughly believe to be true. And that is Glastonbury, England, only 20 miles from me.

The Tor was once an island rising above the Somerset Levels. A very ancient site steeped in myth and mystery, it long predates Arthurian legend, and indeed Christianity (it is claimed by some that Jesus himself came to Glastonbury before his ministry began).

I have to add that Project Avalon (in my experience/view) is the best Counter "Think Tank" predicting (controversial) future scenarios & trends much better than any other "Think Tanks" influencing decision making processes of the status quo political parties. Our insights are often censored, ignored, misinterpreted, overlooked, denied BUT often over 90% we get VINDICATED time after time after long time laughter & ridicule ... then when it happens in our faces as we predicted ... we do not get any apologies from them.

Imagine a future where Think Tanks like Project Avalon will be used more and more for comprehending the true bigger picture

I dare to say if anything (highly) controversial happens in the world that (may) impact our (future) life of millions ... you bet the chance is very high SOMEONE in our Global Project Avalon Network found key-info about it and shared it with all of us here first and you have the privilege to read about it faster than most MSM outlets!

    cheers,

Avalon is the gateway between where our souls are now, and where they came from and must ultimately return.

Absolutely. This location was a portal as it coincided with where two of the "sine" type ley lines overlapped around that time:

As the story goes, the portal gradually went more and more out of phase with our reality as our beliefs drifted out of sync with such beliefs as would allow for it to exist. But it still bears the energy of its storied history.

It seems we are reaching an era when we can find our way there again but with new means.. instead of dolmens and standing stones, this time by using new kinds of tools that apply the same principles of wave physics and wave energy, either way achieving a special kind of synesthesia, creating the same vivid experiences of crossing the realm boundaries as experienced by others all those hundreds and thousands of years ago. I believe it... I have proven it possible to myself. We can build our own means to do this.

And so I am reminded of another reason I appreciate Avalon so much, for the fixture it became for over a decade, when the rest of the internet went in the direction of mindless technological acceleration, small talk, perpetual distraction and recently, the subtle encouragement of mob mentality having obviously worked to divide the human civilization into two groups and to pit them against one another.

Avalon is one of the only places where one could depart to work on themselves for a year, or 5 or 10, and return and count on it to have held true to itself. And it is only in such places where revolutions to reclaim the original destiny of humankind can be begun, no less.

Over the years I have felt the common sentiment that we all wanted it to come sooner, we wanted it to be 2012, in some obvious way. Something big did happen then, but it was a shift on a subtle level, a plane of existence exactly as you can understand Avalon to be, that can drift in and out of phase with our reality. From around that moment, something happened that caused that realm to begin moving back into phase with our own.

But much as it took Avalon a long time to drift out of phase with our reality, so too it takes longer than we would like it to drift back in. There is one difference we can make, concentrating our beliefs, and our remembering. Since in doing that, we are only undoing what caused it to drift away in the first place.

This may come across as rather incredible, but after the things I have seen, I believe it with my entire being. We just need to be patient, continue on our paths, and believe. And a place like this makes it that much easier to do so.

One of the few old school forums that cater to PC users rather than tablet/smartphone. Anyone know of any others cos it seems old school forums are at threat of extinction.
