Default Americans Are A Silly People

How to explain the impressive industriousness of China vis a vis the apathetic decline of America? China are a "real" people, Bill says, whereas Americans are not. What does he mean by that? Watch the video and find out. It's an absolutely crucial concept to understand if we truly seek to know the Truth of what's goin on in the world.

He crams a bunch of good stuff into this 6 mins, and it's funny to boot. Enjoy:

    I wouldn't trust a word out of Maher's mouth.
If you take a closer look at China, the picture REALLY IS very grim.
Those new cities are crumbling, as are their bridges and dams.
The people's humans rights are as flimsy as their buildings and the social credit system is well under way.
It's no wonder the US is in confusion given all the challenges of this century, but China is hardly the model that we should follow, much as bought-off tools might urge us to.

Sure they can build things very fast, they have good machines for that. Problem is, once built, it goes down equally fast

I like Bill, thanks for the link. He is kinda like Kanye West, incredibly brilliant but I wouldn't want to hang out with him.

Have you seen his documentary Religulous? That's probably in my top 5 all time fav documentaries.

I find it incredibly interesting, with one of the many silly things that divides average Americans today being one clan seeing China as the new "Bad Guy", with the other still trying to resuscitate the old Russia "Bad Guy".

Almost like a skirmish between who's the real legit modern day boogie man, with the Al Qaida types trending out of fashion.

    Mike,

Thank you so much for this thread. I LOVE Bill Maher. And Gracy, double thanks for making the point about the "bad guy." China magically became this monster as soon as it looked like it was going to be on equal footing, power wise, as the U.S. This is multi-polarity in action. China has no desire to take over the U.S. China doesn't have bases all over the planet. U.S has bases ringing both China and Russia.

The other positive -- as much as China gets slammed for its environmental record, they have been leading the world in that regard, too. It's not like they are a pollution loving people.

Asians are amazing. Learn to love them, because the 21st century belongs to them.
    "
"China from the world’s environmental ‘baddie’ to its ‘poster child’ in a matter of years is both the result of catastrophic pollution (‘airpocalypse’) leading to national soul-searching and the top-down enforcement of a green vision held by President Xi Jinping himself. Compared to his predecessors, whose environmentalism was mainly rhetorical, Xi’s is much more advanced. He is probably the first Chinese leader to articulate an environmentalism that is built upon the idea of nature as a ‘national asset’: he famously opined that ‘green mountains are essentially gold mountains’.

Onawah, Your information is from the Epoch Times. They pushed Qanon and have managed to create incredible division in their own country and in the U.S It's not just a biased source of news, as all news sources have their biases. This publication was created as a propaganda vehicle to undermine China and create rumors to discredit it in the eyes of the international community.

China is by no means perfect. Far from it. But still, it's awful to see bald faced propaganda about a country.

China has ridden itself of Communism while bringing a huge number of people into the middle class who were suffering terribly.

    Fake News Article:

"There is nothing nefarious about showing blatant support for a political figure; mainstream news outlets do it all the time on both sides of the political aisle. However, most of them do not peddle baseless conspiracy theories, align themselves with QAnon"

Bill Maher is a bought and extremely well paid Illuminati prostitute, part and parcel of the Israeli Mafia that runs Predictive Programming Central aka Hollywood. Every word out of his mouth including the word "the" is PREDICTIVE PROGRAMMING for the brainwashed unfortunates and should only be paid attention to if one wants to know the long term plans of Lynn Forester de Rothschild.

    Nothing personal Mikey

    Blue Green,

Bill Maher strikes me as someone who lampoons the lunacy on both sides. That's what we need more of. He's non-partisan. He is not part of some over-arching Jewish conspiracy, if that is what you're alluding to--imho.

People have to lighten up and laugh a little. These have been stressful times and its healthy to have a comedian illuminate how crazy things have gotten.

China is a huge economical bubble.

They grew through imhuman exploitation of the enviroment and people, commercial bad practices, destruction of the quality standards, and wiping their asses with patents.

Their human rights are (to say the less) dystopical for any "civilised" country, but the people has been served fake progress on a silver platter, and oh boy they took it.

To say they're not expansionist is yet another mistake. It is very well known their imperialistic impulses and the party dogma which all generals and politicians follow.

You have a huge population that has been bought on fake progress from a bubble, who embrace dystopian surveillance and propaganda system, and that, when that bubble blows up, are going to follow the orders of their expansionist leaders, that won't doubt to point the finger to anywhere they see resources, even if they have to burn their own country or people.

I'm not defending anyone. Just noting how china isn't this huge progres phenomenon thats being claimed on TV. At all.

Exactly! That social credit system is the one the NWO intends to impose on everyone else, using China as the model, along with the surveillance, etc.
Which is why the shills are now praising China to the high heavens.

Almost like a skirmish between who's the real legit modern day boogie man, with the Al Qaida types trending out of fashion.

    Until they're need again!
Situation: Something bad is happening or has happened. Boogeyman needed. Two possible extreme (-ist) reactions depending on which 'side' of the ideological wall you're on, especially in the US:

    US-Democrat/Leftist/Liberal:
"It's Russia! A Russian troll. Russian hackers. Evil Putin commanded it. They undermine us with everything they do and say. Trump is a Russian (Putin's) puppet."

    US-Republican/Conservative/Alt-righter:
"It's China! A Chinese troll. Chinese hackers. Evil Jinping commanded it. They undermine us with everything they do and say. Biden is a Chinese (Jinping's) puppet."

See a pattern? Just exchange the wildcard variables and you have highly PREDICTABLE reactions. Always.

People are programmed on both sides, now more than ever unfortunately. No deviation allowed. No doubts. No skepticism of one's own initial skepticism towards only one side. No checking of the background and reliability of purported sources (by (alt or mainstream) news outlets or social media, cited or touted 'whistleblowers', rumours, offical or so-called unoffical reports, studies, etc.). Everything is believed instantly only if it fits your preferred narrative.

Cognitive dissonance galore, paired with the usual confirmation bias when trapped in your reality bubble echo chamber.

And yes. That really IS stupid.

    And sad.

(Btw. I think that this topic 'China is for Reps what Russia is for Dems' would even deserve a thread of its own here).

I really like Maher too Jess. He really does lampoon both sides, even though he's a die hard lefty. So fora guy like me he's easy to appreciate. As another poster pointed out, his doc "Religulous" was terrific. He lampooned Trump in a fake funeral video I must have watched half a dozen times and laughed just as hard every time (and I voted for the guy!). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDh4cNtY4gs

    -----

Accusing him of being an illuminatti puppet or Israeli spy is no different than accusing him of being a banana if no reasonable evidence if offered (which I'm willing to listen to btw)

He wasn't holding China up as some shining beacon of light - he was mostly lamenting America's inability to keep up. One of the first things he points out is their abysmal human rights record and how they break promises regarding Hong Kong autonomy. But then he says this, which I thought was important: "..there must be something between an authoritarian government that tells everyone what to do and a representative government that can't get anything done.."

I feel the same way about respective social issues in both countries. There must be something between snuffing out any kind of dissent and allowing even the silliest of it to take over all our institutions.

Some of China's cities may be crumbling but there is still an awfully long list of impressive sh!t they're getting accomplished, namely moving a great many impoverished people into the middle class. I do not want to live in China Not in a million years. But it's wise to note where your competitors are thriving and where you're lagging behind.

But taking China out of the equation completely: Americans are still a silly people at the moment. I don't enjoy writing that, but it's true.

My family is originally from China. Up until Convid hit, many of my elderly relatives still visited their hometown province in China on a regular basis. China's not a communist country? I'm not sure how or what the basis is for people coming to those kinds of conclusions.

This guy got his hands on the official social credit system documents for China. He has made a series of videos about his experiences in China. He left just prior to the role out of the social credit score system. Whilst he loved the experience and his ten years in China, there were also some very unsavoury realities about living there and eventually, he and his family had to escape China.

    The Social credit system documents.

    Everyone starts with 1000 points.

It's a tiered system - the highest tier is called triple A. You are a model of credit worthiness. If you have 1050 points or higher you get preferential treatment for schools, jobs etc.
The second tier is Double A - exceptional credit worthiness and you get the same benefits
A is the third top tier - you get to be publicly known as a role model for the system. You get priorities for schools and social assistance. If you are not a model citizen, your kids don't get to go to good schools. You get preferential care in employment, and you get preference over equally qualified competitors and promotions.

B - relatively credit worthy - you are locked into this for 2 years. Lectures and visits from government and a probation period.

IF you drop down to a C, you are locked in there for three years before you can move up to a B - more visits and you are regularly scrutinized by government and other officials.

D - not credit worthy - you are locked into D for five years. The officials are visiting you regularly, you go on a black list and this is public. They can cancel any government subsidies you receive, they can revoke any academic credentials and strip you of your job... and you can't get a loan.

If you commit an intentional crime, - you directly go to D. If you are a political dissident or speak out against the government well...they either lock you up or you go missing.

Here are the plus and minus points...

If you overdraft on your credit card or bank - minus 10 points
If you return lost money - plus 10 points
If you use WE chat, forums (like this) blogs or other internet technology to publish negative information about the government in the group - minus 50
If you disseminate false speech, incitement or cause trouble within WE chat groups - minus 30
Sending a message on Social media to another individual that contains false speech or incitement - minus 50
Set off fire crackers, dance in a square, playing with a spinning top and using a high pitch radio horn to produce noise or raising animals that interfere with other peoples lives; that's a minus five:
Illegally holding classes: minus 50 points (if you are teaching people anything really that's illegal - it needs to be CCP run or looked at)
If you give the police help in catching a criminal, report illegal conduct - plus 50 points
If you break the two child policy or don't allow the government to sterilize you - minus 40
If you donate organs - plus 100 points
Unauthorized renovation of houses - minus five points
If you receive a National level reward - plus 100 points
If you make a tombstone that exceeds the defined size by the CCP - minus 100 points
If you're a kid that joins the army - plus five points
If you submit a petition of complaint outside of your province to a higher government official - it is up to minus 50 points
If your kid receives a sports award at a provincial level - plus 20 points
If you work for Government or a corporation, you may be called upon to do something called self-criticism. You have to make a statement in front of everyone as to why you are wrong - if you are ordered to have one of those - minus 5 points
If the self-criticism is advertised in the local newspapers - minus 10 points but if it finds its way and is circulated in the big cities - minus 30 points

What he doesn't share is what happens if your credit score dips to zero.

How Does China's Social Credit System Work?

Wow, fascinating stuff! I'm learning as we go here. I had no idea about any of this!

    Thanks for posting Con

Fascinating? An interesting word for it. Glad you are learning because we all better learn quick or we will will "go here".

Social credit ZERO and go bye bye

Biden said:""And so the idea that I'm not going to speak out against what he's doing in Hong Kong, what he's doing with the Uyghurs in [the] western mountains of China...he gets it ... Culturally there are different norms that each country and their leaders are expected to follow."
