Federal Judge Rules Biden’s Border Policies Unlawful
    OAN Brooke Mallory
    UPDATED 6:19 PM PT – Wednesday, March 8, 2023

"District Judge T. Kent Wetherell II in Florida has nullified the Biden administration’s use of parole to release migrants into the United States, declaring the practice unlawful and accusing the administration of turning the U.S.-Mexico border into a “meaningless line in the sand.”

Wednesday’s ruling came out as a response to a lawsuit from the Sunshine State, which alleged that the Biden administration’s policy of mass releasing tens of thousands of migrants who illegally cross the border, rather than detaining them, violated U.S. immigration law.

The administration is responsible for facing more than 1.7 million migrant encounters in 2021 and over 2.3 million in 2022 and had searched for ways to swiftly release migrants into the U.S. as it ended Trump-era tactics like the Migrant Protection Protocols, which held migrants for immigration hearings.

They typically released migrants with a notice telling them their court dates.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody was the first one responsible for challenging this policy.

Moody sued the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in 2021, claiming that their policy, officially known as Parole Plus Alternative to Detention, violated a U.S. law called the Immigration and Nationality Act.

BREAKING: A federal judge in Florida has blocked the Biden admin’s use of mass parole + ATD (alternatives to detention) migrant releases at the border. These releases allow for much quicker processing and clear out space to avoid overcrowding in BP facilities.

    — Bill Melugin (@BillFOXLA) March 8, 2023
According to the lawsuit, her concern was that 100,000 migrants had been released into Florida due to the administration’s policy. She said that this forced the state to acquire considerable costs to provide social services for these newly released individuals.

Former President Trump appointee, Judge Wetherell, obstructed the administration from continuing to administer a 2021 DHS memo that authorized certain “alternatives to detention” to alleviate overcrowding in detention facilities.

Some of these alternatives included cell phone monitoring, ankle bracelets, or random check-ins by immigration officers. Conservative critics described the policy as “catch and release.”

Judge Wetherell said that federal immigration authorities lack the authority to implement these alternatives on a prevalent basis under the existing laws in place and gave the administration just seven days to file an appeal before his decision ensues.

Moody said in a testimony that the judge’s decision “affirms what we have known all along, [that] President Biden is responsible for the border crisis and his unlawful immigration policies make this county less safe.”

The DHS did not promptly respond to their request to comment on this matter.

The administration expressed that they lack the necessary detention capacity and resources needed to process an influx of migrants, but Wednesday’s ruling could create a consequential increase in the number of people detained in these centers.

Florida and 19 other GOP states are separately opposing another administration policy that would permit hundreds of thousands of people from places like Venezuela, Cuba, Haiti, and Nicaragua to be released into the U.S. each year, rather than detained in facilities. The red states have said that this program breaches the statutory limits on the use of parole."

(Nothing really new about the "bombshell admission" but the news that a Federal Judge has taken action that Biden may have to respond to was news, and I thought it was interesting that I saw it first on an Australian news show. )

"FBI Director Christopher Wray has admitted the White House is “not able to keep tabs” on every single illegal immigrant who enters the United States, casting further doubt over Joe Biden’s ability to secure the border."

Katy bar the door. This ain’t going to be pretty.

But it is all going according to the program conceived and put into action long ago by our “superiors” and “betters”. If I was pressed for a defining date I’d say 1913 (federal reserve system and federal tax on incomes). But then there is: two declared world wars, 1944 (Bretton Woods), 1963 (Kennedy public murder), circa 1972 (petro dollar and end to USA currency redeemable for gold), Daddy Bush CIA (1960s and 1970s), VP and POTUS, (1980-1992. New World Order and a “1,000 points of light”. Setting the pieces on the chess board for what was programmed and is to come), Clintons (Ruby Ridge, Waco, Oklahoma City, vilification of patriotism and militia, etc…), Bush the Simple (more war and 9/11 (September 11, 2001)), Barry Sotero aka Barrack Hussein Obama (dismantling of military and financial collapse, wokism, CRT, etc…), and now the demented, puppet POS Biden and, more importantly and factually correct, his handlers (what can be said that has not been said?).

Yes, I purposefully did not list Trump.

Yes, this IS all according to program which includes intentionally depopulating the existing US populations starting at least decades ago. Brain drain ... hmm.

    Brietbart reports:
Mexican military forces had been patrolling the area when they encountered a group of cartel gunmen and tried to apprehend them. The gunmen and the military forces clashed in a heavy exchange of gunfire followed by a high-speed chase that ended when authorities killed three gunmen who were riding in a Ford F-150.

House passes Republican border security bill hours before Covid restrictions lift
    5/11/23
    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/imm...ifts-rcna83903

"The House passed a GOP-backed bill to address immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border Thursday, the day Covid restrictions at the border are set to be lifted.

The measure passed in a 219-213 vote. Two Republicans — John Duarte of California and Thomas Massie of Kentucky — joined all Democrats in opposing the measure.

The legislation, known as the Secure the Border Act of 2023, would mandate that Customs and Border Protection hire enough Border Patrol agents to maintain a staff of 22,000 and develop a plan to upgrade existing technology to make sure agents are well-equipped. It also would require the homeland security secretary to resume construction of the border wall, a centerpiece of former President Donald Trump’s administration.

The bill is unlikely to become law. Democrats, who oppose it, hold a slim majority in the Senate, and the White House issued a veto threat this week."

In a joint statement after the bill passed, House GOP leaders said Republicans "are taking action to address the chaos at our nation’s borders by delivering legislation that will support our Border Patrol agents, block the flow of fentanyl into our country and put an end to the Biden Border Crisis.”

In floor remarks Thursday, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., criticized President Joe Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

"They're derelict in their duty," Scalise said. "We are actually a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants. We can do both."

A White House statement of administration policy this week said that while the Biden administration supports productive efforts to reform the country’s immigration system, it opposes the GOP-sponsored bill, which it said would make “elements of our immigration system worse.”

The legislation “does nothing to address the root causes of migration, reduces humanitarian protections, and restricts lawful pathways, which are critical alternatives to unlawful entry,” it said. The U.S. is set to lift Title 42, the pandemic-era restriction that expelled migrants immediately without asylum hearings, at just before midnight Thursday. The expiration is expected to draw more migrants and slow processing times for migrants in Border Patrol custody.

More than 11,000 migrants crossed the southern border Tuesday — exceeding expectations of 10,000 a day that Department of Homeland Security officials predicted when Covid restrictions lift.

Congressional Democrats sharply criticized the bill when House Republicans announced it at the end of April, saying it would go beyond the scope of border security and punish all noncitizens, including legal residents, trafficking victims and refugees.

Reached for comment before Thursday's vote, the office of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., pointed to his comments at a news conference Wednesday, when he called the bill the “Child Deportation Act” and characterized it as “one of the extreme MAGA Republicans’ top priorities.”

“How do they propose to address our broken, fragile immigration system? Well, they want to waste billions and billions of taxpayer dollars on a medieval border wall, a 14th century solution that will not work to a 21st century challenge,” Jeffries said. “They continue to bend the knee to the former twice-impeached president of the United States of America in terms of their policy proposals.

“The Republican approach is anchored in xenophobia and fanning the flames of hatred and distrust and of irresponsible policies that will do nothing to solve the problem,” he added.

Rep. Nanette Barragán, D-Calif., the chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, on Thursday echoed her Democratic colleagues' criticism of the bill by casting it as a "product of extreme Republicans' cruel, unworkable immigration policy."

“This bill is an adoption of the failed Trump-era policies that call for the criminalization of the right to seek asylum,” Barragán said at a news conference.

“It’s anti-immigrant. It’s anti-Latino, and it’s anti-American," she said. "It’s time for a comprehensive immigration reform that’s humane, that expands legal pathways for migration, protects your Dreamers and addresses the root causes of migration.”

Default Re: The migration crisis on the US-Mexico border

Sadly this MIT/Yale Study appears to be a bit low. The USA is in an immigrant crisis that is self inflicted by the progressive party. No country in the world could sustain this onslaught.

Yale, MIT study: 22 million, not 11 million, undocumented immigrants in US

The undocumented population in the United States could be twice as large as the most commonly-used estimate, according to a research study published Friday in the scientific journal Plos One.

The paper, led by Mohammad M. Fazel-Zarandi, a researcher at Yale and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, estimates there are 22.1 million undocumented immigrants in the United States.

Fazel-Zarandi’s study compared inflows and outflows of immigrants as well as demographic data. According to the report, the number of undocumented immigrants could be as low as 16.5 million, or as high as 29.1 million.

“We combined these data using a demographic model that follows a very simple logic,” Edward Kaplan, a co-author of the report, told Yale Insights. “The population today is equal to the initial population plus everyone who came in minus everyone who went out. It’s that simple.”

Most previous estimates, based on the U.S. Census Bureau’s annual American Community Survey (ACS), place the undocumented population at around 11 million people.

The ACS is generated annually through interviews with about 3.5 million people.

“You find it’s based on one very specific survey and possibly an approach that has some difficulties. So we went in and just took a very different approach,” Jonathan Feinstein, another co-author, told Yale Insights.

Still, the new study found similarities in growth patterns of the undocumented population to the ACS reports of the past two decades.

Most immigration researchers have reported a plateau in growth of that population since 2007, spurred mainly by the decrease in Mexican illegal immigration to the United States.

The reduction in illegal crossings by Mexican citizens coincided with an increase in illegal immigration from Central America and Asia. But the overall undocumented population has leveled off, and possibly slightly decreased.

The Pew Research Center, which provides regular updates on immigration statistics — based in part on ACS numbers — estimated last year that the undocumented population dropped to 11.3 million from a high of 12.2 million.

The Yale study, which goes as far back as 1990, found the same upward and downward trajectory as the ACS studies, with the undocumented population ballooning through the 1990s and plateauing after 2007.

“The trajectory is the same. We see the same patterns happening, but they’re just understating the actual number of people who have made it here,” said Fazel‐Zarandi.

The researchers emphasized the new number does not imply a growth in illegal immigration but a longstanding miscount of existing undocumented immigrants.

“We wouldn’t want people to walk away from this research thinking that suddenly there’s a large influx happening now,” said Feinstein. “It’s really something that happened in the past and maybe was not properly counted or documented.”

The researchers also noted if the undocumented population is twice as high as previous estimates, that means the incidence of criminality among undocumented immigrants is half as high as previously reported.

“You have the same number of crimes but now spread over twice as many people as was believed before, which right away means that the crime rate among undocumented immigrants is essentially half whatever was previously believed,” said Kaplan.

It's 100% unsustainable. The US is being systematically destroyed. Everyone in Washington knows this, whatever their public statements or political affiliations.
