The former president played an instrumental role in the second wave of NATO’s eastward expansion, and the first Euromaidan crisis in Ukraine in 2004.

The United States didn’t keep its word to Moscow on NATO’s eastward expansion due to shifting circumstances, and the Bush administration always wanted to see Ukraine join the Western alliance, George W. Bush has revealed in a candid interview with Vovan and Lexus.

“I wanted [Russia] on the fringe of NATO, I wanted Ukraine in NATO”, Bush, who served as US president between 2001 and 2009, told the pranksters, who posed as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a portion of the interview that aired Thursday at a Russian educational forum.

“I thought for a while that Russia would be more cooperative. And then [Vladimir] Putin changed dramatically”, Bush said.
“I felt that Ukraine needed to be in the EU and NATO”, he added.

Asked to address Russia’s oft-repeated argument that James Baker, US secretary of state under George H.W. Bush, had promised Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev not to expand the bloc eastward in 1990, Bush Jr. suggested that such promises were irrelevant because they were made a long time ago.

“Listen, times change. Baker was the secretary of state with my dad, which was years ago, and so, uh, the United States [was working under the] principle of adjusting to the times. And that’s why we’re trying to show our support for your country now”, he said.

Asked whether he agreed with the sentiment that the conflict in Ukraine was really a confrontation between the West and Russia, Bush answered curtly “Yeah”.

As for the argument that the US recognition of Kosovo in the 2000s on the grounds of its right to "self-determination" from Serbia paved the way for Russia’s recognition of the Donbass republics, Bush appeared briefly stumped, before assuring that “if you prevail, or when you prevail, a lot of these various issues are gonna be off the table”.

“Your mission is to destroy as many Russian troops as you can, and the question is, will you continue receiving the help you need. And I certainly hope so”, Bush said. He added that it was “very important” for the US to “continue to lead” in aiding Ukraine in achieving its goals.

George W. Bush presided over the second wave of NATO's post-Cold War expansion, welcoming Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia into the bloc in 2004. Between 1999 and 2020, 14 nations of the defunct Warsaw Pact, the former Yugoslavia, or the ex-USSR itself were absorbed by NATO. At its Bucharest summit in 2008, the alliance recognised Ukraine and Georgia's "aspirations" toward eventual NATO membership.

Hey, here's an idea. Anyone can use some free space to tell us why we should slave away as a big weapons factory afraid of everything. I know that this is exactly the mentality of some people who have way more money than me. I don't understand it, because it is stupid, but I am certainly willing to let someone talk along those lines.

The only thing we could really use a military for is a coup.

As a response on what they might buy for cash:

The Lend-Lease Act was used during World War II to supply weapons to allied countries, partly on a reciprocal basis. The US supplied weapons, strategic materials, and food to Britain, the Soviet Union, the de Gaulle government in France, and China. But due to these aid packages, the UK owed $31.4 billion and the Soviet Union $10.9 billion. Although Washington canceled the UK’s debt, Russia only finished paying off the loan in 2006.

Kiev is not thinking about having to pay back all its debt as it expects that the West will cover the costs seeing as the Ukrainian economy has been struggling due to rampant corruption. Washington will inevitably claim compensation for the Lend-Lease Act – whether it be with the supply of cheap agricultural products, rights to build military bases on Ukrainian territory, the implementation of projects that benefit Western companies, or in a plethora of other ways.

Russia in a certain way just shot at Israel. Now if you know the Israeli tactic, usually it is to send F-16s over the sea or Jordan and then they quickly dart into Syrian airspace, let off a salvo, and flee. This time when they left, an S-300 was at least fired at them. Syria does own a few of these systems, but, it is unclear whether they can operate without Russian radar or, in a sense, "permission", and it is still unclear since the weapon might come from one of Russia's own systems.

Commenting on the case, expert in intelligence Rory Cormac told The Guardian during an interview: “These releases are among the most important of the past two decades (…) It’s very clear now that the UK engaged in more black propaganda than historians assume and these efforts were more systemic, ambitious and offensive. Despite official denials, [this] went far beyond merely exposing Soviet disinformation (…) The UK did not simply invent material (…), but they definitely intended to deceive audiences in order to get the message across”.

An example of how British praxis worked was the extensive and complex action operated to promote tensions between the Soviet Union and the Islamic community. In the second half of the 1960s, the Information Research Department (IRD) forged at least eleven Soviet state media documents exposing the government’s alleged “anger” at the “waste” of Soviet weapons by Egypt during the 1967 Six-Day War. Later, the same department forged documents supposedly originating from the Muslim Brotherhood accusing Moscow of sabotaging the Egyptian campaign, criticizing the quality of Soviet military material and calling the Russians “filthy-tongued atheists” who saw the Egyptians as “peasants who lived all their lives nursing reactionary Islamic superstitions”.

Last year, The Observer had already revealed that the IRD was directly responsible for the massacre of hundreds of people in Indonesia through the spread of lies in a black propaganda campaign in 1965. At the time, the department financed the preparation of pamphlets allegedly belonging to the PKI, then the largest communist party in the non-communist world, which were actually just British false flags. This encouraged anti-communist militias to promote an unprecedented massacre in the country, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of communist militants and civilians. Now, with the new declassified documents, it is possible to see that this was not an isolated episode, but a regular practice in British intelligence services.

In fact, it seems impossible to analyze this case and not correlate in some way to the current Western campaign against Russia, in which the UK seems to be very involved. In a way, it appears that despite the end of the Cold War, the bipolar mentality has never stopped working in the West. Simply, what was once aimed at the Soviet Union is now aimed at Russia.

This is precisely what political analyst Joe Quinn thinks: “The timing of this declassification of the documents is interesting insomuch as it may serve, for some, as confirmation that the West’s geopolitical war against the Soviet Union never really ended, it just continued as a war against the Russian Federation, but without the justification of fighting against Communism”.

The British media has been one of the most active in spreading anti-Russian narratives, fake news and pro-Kiev propaganda. Although most of the work is operated by the private sector, it is naive to think that there is no state incentive for pro-NATO propaganda. The British state – as well as the US and allied nations – has a very deep interest in creating a psychological warfare scenario, so there is a type of clandestine public-private cooperation between the state departments and these media agencies for their common objective to be achieved.

The special military operation in Ukraine is the main reason why Russia is attacked by Western propaganda today. From accusations of war crimes, false flags (like the tragedy in Bucha) to the absolutely unrealistic “analyses” alleging that Ukraine is “winning” the conflict, we have in all these cases examples of how the British media acts in collusion with the interests of NATO, operating old tactics of misinformation and black propaganda against London’s geopolitical enemies.

In this regard, Adriel Kasonta, a London-based foreign affairs analyst and former chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Bow Group think tank, believes that currently the main interest of British intelligence is to have a public opinion approving the sending of weapons to Ukraine and believing it is strategic, forging data to make it appear that that Kiev is close to “winning”.

“It aims to mislead the domestic audience by convincing them that the ‘special operation’ is not going according to plan and to persuade them that sending lethal weapons to the front by NATO allies contributes to the alleged victories and successful resistance of the Ukrainian side. It is a psychological game, and nothing persuades the naturally peaceful population to support a war in a distant land [more] than the opponent’s alleged low morale and military losses”, says the analyst.

With that, it seems to be clear that there is indeed a blatant anti-Russian campaign going on whose aim is to harm Moscow using old and well-known black propaganda and information war tactics. It is essential that the recently declassified documents are released so that Western public opinion is aware of the weapons used by their governments and media agencies against nations that are not aligned with NATO’s geopolitical plans.

Erich Zuess today gets into Brexit as a financial attack against the Euro, which is caught up in what is happening now. He also refers to Cecil Rhodes and a revised Confession of Faith he originally penned in 1877.

Of course, he is bequeathing his entire fortune to be used in a British Supremacist Secret Society.

He admires the Jesuits but says they are working for the wrong ends.

He joined Masonry and was very impressed, but apparently did not find his wicked plan there either.

Paradoxically, at this point he is not anti-Russian and at least makes pacifist remarks:

...had we not lost America I believe we could have stopped the Russian-Turkish war by merely refusing money and supplies.

What is strange is that as a highly connected person who changed...everything, he is out of touch with any Jesuit, Masonic, or anti-Russian influence which we have reasons to state was long present in Britain. As if he made it up. It's not Duke or Prince so-and-so is so brilliant, this is his own creativity at work. But it is as if no one was working hard enough for Anglocentrism. I am wondering why it seems to be missing.

He even tells us the American presidents are corrupt and worthless, which mainly seems to be the case post-1840.

If I had to guess, it may be that the overweaning hatred was celebrated on country estates, and lacked a unifying center in London. Certainly just straight through Rhodes's influence you do get London School of Economics, etc., "think tanks" which by 1900 were printing Anglo supremacy posters saying that Germans are animals. Rhodes may have just blurted out what an Englishman expects "goes without saying". All they were doing was propagandizing war for Capitalism.

That is mystifying to me that it sounds like he made up most of his ethos. If someone was believing in Khazaria, or thought English name X was Biblical name Y having the ancient enemy Z, this has not entered his thinking. It goes good together, unfortunately, Anglo supremacy is a complete laughingstock.

We lived with a jockeying for influence between US/UK/UN itself, to the point where countries might start telling WHO to eat it.
