Question Re: Any Other Good Alt Forums Out There?

    • Lets assume for the sake of argument we found a true genuine "equalish" Forum that is very similar like ours in style & quality ... what would you do besides doing the obvious?
I have some ideas myself ... but I want to see it from other members first!

There is a mindset (for a lack of better word) that I cannot find anywhere - online or offline. Avalon is the only place that provides this. The description I have in mind is something like this "open minded to explore all ideas/concepts but sceptical enough to realise/seperate what is woowoo and what really helps one to expand his/her awareness".

As a health professional, I am dealing with the closest-minds you can ever see in my professional life (wait, in fact u can see same breeds in every religious cult) especially because of latest pandemic story. On the contrary, many "alternative/conspiracy" sources are outright ridiculous for me, so I also stay away from such too. I never liked GLP or ATS as I saw too much wild claims & intended disinformation in both forums.

As a result: This is the only source that I can find what I'm looking for. A healthy balance of open minded sceptism which can lead to deeper investigations. There is no other forum like this as far as I know!

    Thanks for your input!

I looked a little closer at GLP this morning and was quite horrified. I saw some threads there that were not just obnoxious but aggressively racist in nature. So, I've seen enough of that place

Oh I'd be doing the same.

I never expected to find a forum of equal value to Avalon. I've always known this forum was the best. This will always be my home base.

But if you play tennis with the same person every day you begin to know all their moves. And they yours. Sometimes it's good to play with other people once in a while.

I do think forums — at least independent, well-moderated ones! — are an increasingly rare species. They're like a gourmet restaurant offering free food, or maybe a bring-your-own-everything giant public barbecue in the sun, with the kids playing all around for many hours while the parents relax, mingle and chat.

And that's compared with grab-it-and-run fast food.
In other words, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and the like.

Fast food is a quick-fix addiction in a world where many people want instant gratification with little investment. In other words, cheap, low-quality substitutes for real substance, dialog and intellectual nourishment.

An increasingly small number of people want to spend any time reading and contemplating anything longer than this post. And so the marketing world responds.

It's a good metaphor there. I don't do social media of any kind (I have a FB account for the chat option, as it seems to not freeze up like Skype does, but that's all I use it for). I'm still not entirely sure what tiktok is, or snapchat. And I'm kind of proud of that!

I really worry about the erosion of language. What these things like twitter are doing is reducing the language to grunts and mumbles. People that can write a basic, coherent sentence are becoming increasingly rare.

No, longform spaces are a dying breed as people lack the attention span to handle a paragraph in the TikTok generation. I continually accidentally place up walls between myself and my generation by having too much to say in the written format. There is nothing else like Project Avalon, which is why it is one of the two forums I really participate on at this point in time (the other is an irrelevant-to-this-topic extremely niche forum; someone who knows what I do may be able to guess what it is). And well, you see how often I post here. (sigh) I write so many posts that I don't actually submit all over the place, and just give up, because I know no one has the mental capacity to bear more than two paragraphs of information before their attention span snaps and their eyes glaze over.

All of the other alt whatever forums are full of shills and trolls. I've had a go at participating in a few of them, but knowing what I do from observing you, Mike, I can't honestly recommend them. This place on the internet is a very unique holdout of independent thought. Nothing is quite like it. It is only due to its extremely high entry standpoint that PA endures, I believe it is pretty much a requirement to building a strong digital community otherwise chaff blows over the nuggets of brilliance making them as hard to discover as a needle in a haystack.

Hi Ti, I really wish you'd post some of those aborted posts! You're clearly an intelligent person and the world is dreadfully short on those

I may well be wrong, but I'm not aware of any other "good alt forums" in existence, certainly none with Avalon's quality of content, membership, and administration. Avalon really is IT.

One of the few out there however that is in a similar style and format to Avalon is The One Truth forum. Owing to certain historical controversies that have existed between PA and ToT in the past, little more needs to be said. But if weighing the two up, there really is no contest whatsoever.

I have an account at TOT that I haven't used in years. Its not bad, much better than GLP or ATS, but I didn't really find it as interesting, varied, nor as entertaining as Avalon. If Avalon disappeared suddenly I'd probably find myself there.

Also, there's a few old Avalon members there I wouldn't mind reconnecting with.

Unfortunately he closed the forum awhile back, but the old archive might still be on there.

A lot of interesting articles/notes too. While less frequent now he still updates occasionally.

Always felt that Project Avalon Forum is directly and/or indirectly influencing potential future whistler-blowers & insiders leaking stuff ... We may have some members who are true deep government insiders but keep a low profile with their activity and may have a change of heart after being exposed to too much "spiritual common sense".

I do not think other Forums can say the same having that kind of (possible) impact.

There are other pockets on the internet; a forum is a specific medium, and antiquated (new for 1998). Look at years of social media development; there are Discord servers, and (short lived) facebook groups, Telegram groups and a (probably short-lived) eco-system on twitter. Sure, we're unwelcome squatters but who really cares. I'm having fun and that's what counts. Come on in, the water is ....different

Chris Martenson has a forum at https://peakprosperity.com/forum. I've not checked it out, but I do intend to. There may be a lot of good content in there.

I very strongly suspect that Chris Martenson is doing a LOT of solid, high-quality research and investigation about the 'vaccines', but very understandably isn't posting anything on YouTube any more. What he's discovering or uncovering might be posted there to his members, playing a similar-ish role to mine here.

This is my only 'mere' 'conspiracy' forum. I am (was) mostly active on 'spiritual' forums, especially with regard to astral projection when I was very active in it. In a way, it is kind of 'alternative' too since it is not mainstream media nor mainstream religion and not even mainstream 'new age' stuff.

The communities are however way smaller than here on . Anyways, for whom it may be of interest:

My absolute favourit and the one of them which is also slightly conspiracy and (currently) very anti-vax. It is Transients/Roundtable.

Others on mostly AP/OBE practical and theoretical stuff are these three:

Short Update: Astraldynamics is currently down and not loading, but normally it works fine.

Btw if you're interested to register and/or to look for me there I am 'Volgerle' on Astralpulse and My-Big-Toe and 'Sinera' (= first name of a past life of mine as a lady in Southern France in the mid-1600s) on Astraldynamics and Transients/Roundtable (btw, you would see that sometimes I share some stuff I just read on Avalon on the Transients forum although it also has been the other way round already).

Mike all roads lead to Avalon.

This is the Alt web hub, if it not here those here will lead you to it and back again.

Thank you for the link to Martenson. I was an avid watcher of his Covid videos. He did some great research and is a good human being.

The "TikTok" generation is a result of their parents way, really

Thinking of it that way, don't you you will create a "post TikTok" generation as a second side effect?

Just like you all did when you guys caused the "TikTok" one to become, based on what your parents considered bad on you

"Those kids with their bicycles! riding all day!"
"Those kids with their motorcycles riding all day!"
    "Those kids with their cars..."
    "Those kids with the Radios"
    "Those kids with their Tvs"
    "Those kids with their planes"
    "Those kids with their games"
"Those kids with their cell phones"
    "Those kids with their AR"

    "Those kids..."

I bet there was someone, at some point in time, complaining there were too many kids spending hours playing chess, instead of working the fields

Really? So everyone here is incapable of understanding how smart you are? Do you realize what you said there? You don't post because no one 'would get you', right?

    When will humanity learn? When?
