Default Trump files class action against BIG TECH. Will he win...?

Trump launched legal battle against social media giants at his Bedminster club
He demanded punitive damages up to 'trillions' of dollars from Facebook, Twitter and Google. Former president is still banned from platforms because of his Capitol riot posts
He said his removal from the platforms is that big tech is 'out of control'.

Trump claimed posts that got him banned were innocuous, while terror groups like Hamas still have websites. His move is backed by the America First Policy Institute, which is made up of Trump administration staff Will allow him to sue Zuckerberg and Dorsey on behalf of social media users who say they have been 'silenced'.

Is the first amendment an obstacle to some?
    Is Trump going to win?
Is this going to increase censorship or will it deal with Big tech once and for all?
How much is enough punitive damages for being censored & silenced?

While I think this move by Trump is extremely smart I don't think he will win this case. On the one hand, these are private companies and they have the right to deny whoever they want from posting on or using their platforms, on the other hand, they have been given a huge exemption from liability which has allowed them to become monopolies. Trump will certainly give a prominent boost to the complaints against big tech limiting or denying free speech.

I think Trump's case will land on deaf ears in the court but it will eventually result in congress removing section 230 which provides immunity from civil liabilities. Once that happens it will open the door to more start-up social media platforms and make big tech accountable for their actions.

I don't think most people understand how much censorship is actually going on, it is fairly rampant and all of it has to do with politics, power and money. Much of what is being said on Avalon would not survive on FB or Twitter. The real culprit at the heart of this problem is google and they are sliding under the radar at the moment.

Vivek Ramaswamy: If this case is argued in the right way, it has the potential to go all the way to the supreme court and potentially be one of the defining cases of our time. Because the conventional wisdom says there are private companies and of course somebody could bring a suit like this. But the heart of the legal claim here is these private companies are not actually acting as private companies. They are acting on behalf of the Federal Government and they are protected by them.

I hope the lawsuit includes claims for violations of the applicable unfair/unconscionable trade practices act(s). Deception in the course of carrying out one's trade or business takes many forms and applies to private actors, not governmental actors. The actionable wrongful conduct does not have to be based on overt (or covert) acts of deception by commission. It can also be on covert (or overt) acts of deception by omission. Or both. Such claims are based upon tort law, not contract law, and are designed to protect consumers from unfair or unconscionable trade practices, irrespective of contract rights and duties.

I have to think that some of the claims are for unfair and anti-competition violations, anti-trust violations (monopoly and cartel stuff) and maybe RICO.

Are Google, Facebook, Amazon, and others who banned the President owned by descendants of the Rockefeller family and/or corporations owned by them? Is this just not an extension of the Kingship control over the USA by Rockefeller money? The LA head of the FBI, now deceased, said they owned the legislatures of all the states and of the Congress of the USA for the sum of $510 million/year. I assume this may not only be in the form of money but stocks in their across-the-board ownership of world Corporations, hence the NWO and all that may imply? Thus the rights of the people do not exist anywhere? So our votes mean absolutely nothing. We do not know what is in our so-called legislation and neither do those who supposedly vote on those bills which are too voluminous to read! Who the HE*L is really writing this legislation?

The obvious lie that 'promoting violence' is the justification for these bans needs to be addressed, otherwise this is a mockery of truth itself.
At some point a halt must be brought to the platforms claiming they are upholding the virtue of anti violence, when they are using this to conceal their political bias
exactly the same charge was levelled at Alex Jones, everybody knows this is a lie (Leonard Cohen's song echoes distantly...everybody knows the war is over, everybody knows the good guys lost)
Trump has many flaws, but he has the right to be heard-that is the primary issue, also stop pretending you are protecting people from violence, that is an insult to good values, and our intelligence.

WANSEN'S POST DELETED BY BILL RYAN

Note from Bill: I wanted to make the Zen-Master's-stick teaching point here that censorship in social media is NOT a good thing. Maybe Wansen, who wrote that he hoped that Trump would not win his lawsuit, might meditate on that.
