https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/p...yanair-flight/The EU stands ready to support a peaceful, democratic transition with a variety of instruments, including a comprehensive plan of economic support for a democratic Belarus. We also stand ready to adopt further measures, including on other economic actors, if the situation in Belarus does not improve.
Please note the "We also stand ready to adopt further measures, including on other economic actors, if the situation in Belarus does not improve" part
This is so naive! I wonder if the people on the EU who proposes this, have looked at a map, just to see where Belarus is located and between which countries
Are the people in control of the EU so disconnected from reality, that they think putting up sanctions against Belarus is somehow going to work? The only thing that is happening is that new deals are being made with Moscow as we speak, and remember that Poland, and Ukraine, are the other two bordering countries of importance right now. It does seem that the ignorance and cold war mentality of the boomers working on the government in the EU can't think fast enough to realize that Belarus may just suddenly feel very pressured and decide they actually liked and want to be called again ByeloRussia...
