Hi Gracy May There is a huge difference in the type of exiting strategy. Nobody I know wants to keep Troops in Afghanistan. Trump was solid in his plan for leaving because the exit for leaving was conditioned based. He warned the Taliban exactly what would happen if they didnt comply. Biden broke Trump's timing and he wanted to use 9-11 for some reason and provided no exit strategy.

A video segment filmed by one of our contractors in Kabul. All the military equipment is all left out for the Taliban.

    start 37 minutes
It has been pretty clear from all angles that the intent of the handlers of the current situation here in the US is take down of the empire. It is the devil's pitch fork with so many prongs....destruction of FAITH, destruction of health, destruction of community, economy, freedom, FUTURE. EVIL is stomping the heads of bystanders who did nothing to deserve the flack except be born.

That is at least the appearance?

It is really really frustrating to have been hearing about the planned demolition for the last 50 years. People simply look ridiculous as they try to act like the Biden administration, EVEN the Trump administration, the Obama administration and the Bushes, Bushes, Reagans etc are FRIENDLY to human beings. This is all using our energy to create various forms of hell on earth.

All this equipment left behind, the Afghans airlifted in, the disaffected allies left behind... just another brick in the wall that is meant to be built very high and unstable and bury us in rubble of pain and suffering. Innocents everywhere as collateral damage pile up. Not new. I once believed the world could change. I have been feeling very depressed except for moments of epiphany that this is primarily about our inner fortitude. This is a blip in eternity and I am a soul visiting this construct.

What DOES it means to stand up for the value of GOOD. What would I be willing to do to "save myself"? Who would I screw over? Will I be able to remain a TRUE human being even when the pitchfork is coming at me? Will I grab someone and put them in front of me to shield me? Will I murder to try to remain alive? HOPEFULLY I KNOW BETTER. What goes around comes around.

Agree with the noor bin laden quote above. This is definitely an operation, I'd only qualify the statement by saying the intention is to humiliate the American administration.

The Trump quote Gracy May posted above is as clear a signal as you will get that this outcome was pre determined, the Afghan regime was not expected to survive.

So why, given the internal knowledge within the pentagon and state dept, why the ludicrous statements from Biden? Why the squandering of prestige, the abandonment of equipment only to be photographed in taliban hands?

Did the US army forget how to wage war? How to stage a graduated withdrawal?

This is a pantomime. This administration is being used to get uncomfortable tasks, such as disengaging from Afghanistan, accomplished without incurring any lasting political damage on anyone that matters.

    President Piñata.

This was a guerrilla war, not a war of army vs army. This costs $$ to win. Without $$ there is no winning it, Bin Laden knew this and the ANA knows this. That's why it's in their best interest to just surrender. At least in my opinion.

FWIW everyone I've met who's fought in Afghanistan says the ANA was worthless.

    Longer Gen. Flynn

    https://www.westernjournal.com/exclu...istan-failure/

Quote OP ED: Exclusive from Gen. Flynn: My Heart Is Broken by Biden's Afghanistan Failure

My heart breaks as I see the Afghan people flood the Kabul airport in the hope of escaping the Taliban. President Biden’s assurances — supposedly based on what he was told by his intelligence community — that the Afghan Armed Forces were fully able to defeat the Taliban proved to be colossally wrong.

Americans want to know whether President Biden and Defense Secretary Austin’s military-wide “stand-down” order to root out insufficiently woke “extremists” in the armed forces has caused our Defense Department to ignore what is unfolding in Afghanistan, as well as other real threats to our nation.

After Afghanistan, I believe we can no longer rely on neocon senior military leaders, talking heads and politicians. We have allowed military and civilian lawyers (read: rules of engagement restrictions) to become all-powerful, and many of our generals have been so indecisive and risk-averse that they are acting as little more than career-seeking politicians.

We have been trained at participating in wars but untrained at winning wars since WWII. Afghanistan is a tragic situation, much like the Kurds in Iraq, but at least President Trump drove up our respect internationally, which proves that being tough and smart is better than being tough and stupid.

Today I don’t believe America is respected the way we were only a few short months ago. More countries visit China these days than come to the U.S., and China is prepped to recognize the Taliban once they declare the Islamic State — if only to embarrass us.

Seeing our defeat, my sense is Taiwan is having some incredibly uncomfortable internal discussions — as are a lot of U.S. allies in Europe. I also believe China is doing a lot of wargaming of costs and benefits with respect to future moves in the South China Sea and Europe.

America is now in a fully engaged information war. Soon it may be worse. I pray our senior military leadership is intensely planning all options; the best plan offers the most options at the last possible moment.

Trust me, our enemies are not waiting. They plan and they don’t care about stupid mask policies or fake insurrection show trials. Our enemies will be working on the next three vulnerabilities we haven’t even thought about.

I believe Russia and China have a clear-eyed understanding of our corrupt political leadership that they and many other nations no longer respect or fear. America will come back soon, but it will come at a cost.

If the bureaucracy in Washington (e.g. the Defense Department, the State Department and the Intelligence Community) want to keep acting like utopian ideologues, we will lose. If they find their courage, the U.S.A. will win.

So I say step up, stand up and straighten up your backbones: We the people demand far better from our leaders, and if there is a battle necessary to be fought, let’s start winning again.

The leadership with respect to our homeland is no better. President Biden announced to the world that our southern border was open to the world, and the world responded reasonably by invading. At the same time, his Attorney General Merrick Garland — confirmed with 20 “Republican” votes too — threatened to sue Texas over Gov. Abbott’s executive order seeking to regain control of illegal aliens spreading COVID-19.

While demonstrating weakness with our enemies, they become more ruthless with our people. I get the sense that there is no federal power that Biden-Harris will not abuse to suppress political opposition.

The latest alert from the Department of Homeland Security is just the latest in a long series of crimes against the nation that could threaten the bonds that hold our country together
(and “Build Back Better” is now a joke).

Who will win in the conflict between the Biden administration and the people? I don’t know. But Biden-Harris should take a look at what is happening in Afghanistan for how quickly the political situation on the ground can change.

Once a critical mass of Americans realizes what is being done to it, the ruling class will begin to suffer defections. The FBI agents that today are willing to conduct early-morning raids may realize the kind of country they are helping create.

Change will be required by our military officials who today are turning away from ensuring military readiness to enforce socialist programs such as critical race theory instead of training and preparing to win our nation’s wars. They must realize that this is not what they signed up for.

And even the Americans who voted for Biden-Harris will realize that this team operates through deception and deceit.

Take heart. Look at Afghanistan. Things can change quickly. Keep the faith. Pray. Work. Speak truth to power. Fear not and never give up.

Remember the words of 2 Chronicles 20:15: “Thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God’s.’” And when you’re done praying, stand up and serve your communities and our nation in different ways using the God-given talent and skills that each of you possesses.

I didn't phrase my point well. I wasn't referring to the counter insurgency aspect or the ANA, but solely the management of the retreat. US moving out of highly secured area in a zone not currently under Taliban control. No need for a rushed withdrawal, certainly no need for leaving vast amounts of weapons.

Be interesting what happens with the financial setup in Afghanistan:

Quote In the year of 2000 there were seven countries without a Rothschild owned or controlled Central Bank:

    Afghanistan
    Iraq
    Sudan
    Libya
    Cuba
    North Korea
    Iran
Any movement on that front may give an insight into events elsewhere.

As if 20 years flashed through my eyes and now again, can see the things clearly.
2001 I was here in Dharamsala,
almost 3rd year in the monastery when 9/11 happened.
We watched that on TV from local dhaba You can’t say THAT was not absurd. I thought for a second it’s a new thriller but shocked these seemed to be real events. We all starred at the small plasma screen in awe, speechless.

I thought, this is an attack on the US land, right after Pearl Harbor, this may start a war.
Then all the logic flipped back immediately and we have collectively admitted this could not be carried on from outside the US as such operation requires both high tonnage and organised cooperation of American personnel.
I doubt that the Talibans with ancient rifles were capable of anything that sophisticated at that point.

In 2003, we watched Iraq being bombarded and oil rigs burning, it was on the BBC news 24/7. I was in Bodhgaya at that time.

Securities started steeping up ever since.

Such as temples and monasteries, entry points to train stations and long and amazing Delhi tube not only being guarded by military but enforcing airport type of scan/check on every passenger and luggage.
Saw this happened globally ever since resulting in inhuman treatment of countless passengers including little children, people being probed and poked to in most humiliating manners.

I’ve passed through many airports , scans and checks since, some better than others but the whole “terrorist security scam” has turned to a menace.

It’s short of logic, based on very narrow vision, not only that, by over focusing on “terror attack on airplane” ( cca/ Hollywood productions) they actually attract attention to the idea while in reality any potential “evil maker” can carry attack at any place, any time.

Vis those many attacks by US citizens including teenagers on their own groups in recent years and you may call out for one thousand conspiracy theories covering those but miss a detail or two.

Speaking of terror attacks and higher sociological behaviour they are not restricted to a particular human group, or faith, it seems to me.

By increasing the pressure of madness and suspicions, endless queries, stupid questionnaires, time consuming for all parties, the pressure has increased on so many people who considered themselves “in the norm” and mental issues rate rose to 60% in many highly civilised countries, in fact more controlled the society bigger health issues, see the UK, the most advanced EU countries are quietly coping with the same problems so are the Americas.

So if you can’t read the sociological equation, you take lives, take souls , you will fail because your own people will fail, because we all are “sentient beings” by birth and existence, not “by conviction”.

Right after the Law of One follows the Law of Action and Reaction, so if we @do” something to the people at the Gate, if we repeatedly doubt and suspect them for terrorists sorry to say it’s not better than what the nazis and the communists did to their own people , treating them like cattle.

This is the ideological off stand that has fallen on all of our heads, the philosophy of disbelief and hard core agnosticism bordering psychotic attack on border check vs a merciful Universal Intelligence who loves you and wants to spare you soul annihilation.

We need to surpass the equation I believe rather than sorting it because neither party is capable of any sort of “reconciliation” or subjugation of opinion and idea,

we need to advance beyond the problem, make a leap to future where we stop claiming we don’t understand and basically, stop bad mouthing and bull****ting each other,

During the last 20 years I’ve seen many people globally “lost friends” in local communities, many groups were dissolved and people were encouraged to “take care about themselves” the most.

It hurt some and it hurt all of us equally, losing friends or seeing them losing soul and life to some kind of business and fast baked conviction, everyone hit high on thinking since, good enough but it may be the time to “come back” and return on track, for all the soldiers and the small city bank thieves,

see what the Afghani people did is what any other people do in emergency, withdraw your money from the banks and the state monopoly loses power. The French threatened to do right that to their banks at some point

It dissolves “some of the mess” that actually masquerades as “order”.

Of course there are several crossing points on the way that may leave us all in serious pickle but as long as everyone can abstain from violence and tame those who are acting madly even if they are “the generals” and act with empathy and kindness, we are safe.

Default Re: The real truth behind the Taliban that are now in control of Afghanistan...

I'm astonished about how easy the US government lies about every single aspect of this

Yesterday, i watched a video of Hillary Clinton saying something like "The Soviet Union invaded that country, then the Taliban was created to liberate it, it worked for us". When in reality we all know, by historical facts, that the US created the Taliban, to take down the government of those days, and THEN that government asked for help from the USSR, and only after a long while they got the help they were requesting

And a second hipocritical BS lie, "we are worried about the human rights and woman rights".. Are you? Didn't you take down the most progressive government that country has ever seen? One that had women on top of everything? One that had them attend college and be free and work at their best, in professional environments, allowing them to be as strong and as successful as they could be?

You, US government, were not very worried about their rights, back then, and you created the monster that took away their rights and celebrated it!

And now you are "worried", yes you are

Anyway, what seems to be really going on is this:

The existing current government, got a hold of news that China was interested in investing a lot of money, way more than the US would send. So they started talks and got very friendly. The US did not like that, and they pushed back, but as usual, and since the puppet government setup by the US was so corrupt, they kept going strong with their plans to sell off the country to China. So the US talked to the Taliban and then the Taliban talked to China and Russia as well. It was agreed that the current government would be taken down, as long as the Taliban would not cause a massive crisis in the region. They so far have observed this agreement. But! Now they are also talking to China about the exact same thing the US tried to prevent, the investment of China in the region.

So in the end it turned out to be the same, but way worse for human rights, as usual, when corruption is involved in every single step of "fake democratization"

So now, there is a small problem, the US is "gone" but not really, they are going to move to other countries nearby, wait for things to implode (or caused them somehow) so they then can go back in (in name of the human rights) Because they can't allow the Taliban to start sending all the "resources" to China, instead of the US. The Taliban has never respected the US, and they have betrayed them now, like taking candy from a kid

The puppet president of Afghanistan, had to run away and stole hundreds of millions of dollars on his way out, and you must ask, why is he moving along countries around the middle east, and not to the US? Why is the US not hosting him as other officials or government workers? Because he betrayed the US, he made deals behind the US's back, with China...

I wonder if we are going to hear the US government saying something like "we are looking for the ex-president, he must answer the law, for all the money he stole from the Afghan people when he run away from the country". Why is the US president, or anyone, talking about this?

Even regular people are escaping the country in US planes, but the ex-president? He seems to avoid the US help. Would think he would have been the first one to be helped out of danger, right? I wonder if "crimes" we'll soon be "discovered" and he will be targeted and killed, before he says something inadequate or compromising that exposes what really happened and why the US is "leaving while staying"

Are we to assume the US did not know he was corrupt and stole possibly billions of dollars through the years?

Is the US president really three kids under a trench coat? Blaming everyone for everything and then running away before someone else has a chance to reply or say anything at all?

Meanwhile, people will die and suffer tremendously, just like when the last, actual functional government that actually improved the country and had real stability, rights, and a future planned for their citizens, was demolished without any care, just for money and strategic power

"I know lots of you will die, but that's a sacrifice i'm willing to make"

I have further questions. So many questions...

    ETA:

The only actual truth is that we all are part of this in one way or another, and we decided to not care or truly look into it or attempt to make any kind of change, until it broke. And then we observe and question, but we are equally to blame, because all this time very few did anything about it, the current grand mothers and even mothers in Afghanistan, were free at some point, probably lawyers, doctors or other professional area, and now they are just hiding away on their homes, seeing history repeat with their daughters/grand daughters. And probably nothing will truly change, since eventually this Taliban government will either be accepted again, as it was when it took down the previous one in the 90's, before the US saw need to take it down after 2001, OR, it will remain in power for a long time

And everyone will pretend everything is great and cool, money will flow and the damage will be forgotten, just like it happens on Saudi Arabia and other places like that

Nothing will ever change until people truly care and grow up, specially the ones at the higher levels, but those are the most unlikely to do, they don't know anything about those people, and they don't care. It's hard to care about a mother seeing her daughter taken for a sex slave when you are more worried about your Kobe steak not getting overcooked

I don't blame the US people, i don't blame the soldiers, i don't blame the people and soldiers from other countries. I put the blame on the US government and no one else, because they were the ones that after watching Afghanistan prospering and becoming a successful state, under their own control and with very good educated people and raising among other countries int he region, they decided it wasn't "going to work" for their own benefit

So they took it to themselves to make sure it would fail. And for that, they went along all the poor uneducated villages, gathering all the ignorant islamic fundamentalists they could find, then they whispered in their ears "See that? This government is against Allah, they want to make women better than you, they want to make you and women equal. See what's happening on this town and that city? It's coming here and you won't be able to stop it! Would you like to fix things?"

And then they gathered fundamentalist islamic leaders and turned them into a Mujahideen army, gave them arms and training and pushed them, in their glorious ignorance, to believe they were fighting in the name of God/Allah.

Then, they raised strong, armed and with money and resources sent from the US, to take down the corrupt anti-Allah government. And more money and resources kept coming in, until the Afghanistan government asked for help and eventually the USSR and others replied. Then the US government already had another scenario setup in central America, with drug production that involved the destruction of a full generation in the US, just to illegally fund the "civil war" in Afghanistan and other middle east places, we all know about that, don't we?

There is a reason all history resources you find in western media, all start with "In 1979, the Soviets invaded Afghanistan". You will never hear what happened just the years before, of why it happened. Or a comparison of the state of the country before and after that year, and who was involved, it's all vague on purpose, as usual

"The CIA financed the Mujahideen", but were did the money came from? We all know where, it's a big piece of hypocrisy to pretend we don't. Everyone, even the own US citizens, is expendable as long as the plan is executed and succeeds, that's all

And to now come and claim "we are worried" with a straight face... Sit down Joe Biden, just sit down. You have no moral ground to even raise your hand to have an opinion anymore

Just a couple days ago, while browsing reddit, i saw a thread that started with "The Taliban started as a rebel, freedom fighter group to liberate the country from the brutal communist regime that was in control".. Talk about being ignorant of reality

Here a few questions for all the people who seem to fail to put 2+2 together

If the Taliban "liberated the country" from the "evil regime", then why the US imposed sanctions against Afghanistan soon after the USSR left? And against the Taliban itself?

And, if the Taliban was "the people", then why have "the people" suffered more and the US had to "liberate them" from the evil Taliban, after 2001?

And finally, if the Taliban, truly was what people wanted all along, why are they running so desperately away from it now? Risking and dying all over, just for a chance to escape "the freedom fighters" the US created in the first place?

Some people really can't put two pieces of lego together, but i guess that's by design

    Common sense? What's that!

This is a failure of courage, a complete abnegation of responsible government and mature diplomacy-they knew that these people would be vulnerable to the pre-Neanderthal level reasoning of the Taliban and their vengeance: this is a crime of the 1st order.
How can the Biden/Harris administration survive this?
The world is truly lost if this is allowed to stand.
