As predicted earlier this morning, the main cone of the La Palma volcano has broken apart releasing a “huge wash" of lava that is flowing on top of existing cooler lava from the first eruption, in the direction of the sea, as confirmed by the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain (IGME) thanks the images taken by their drones.

Geologist Carlos Lorenzo reported in a video broadcast on social media that the images perfectly show how the cone is broken. "It has split in the southwest part, releasing a huge stream of very large blocks moving down the slope towards the sea," he explained while addressing the meeting of the steering committee of the Canary Islands Volcanic Emergency Plan (Pevolca).

This new lava flow has been very fluid because it comes from more interior parts of the volcano and is being emitted at a higher temperature, until it begins to cool on the surface and slow down.

This announcement by the IGME comes shortly after the Involcan announced that a new emission point had opened up in addition to the two new eruptive mouths that opened yesterday (Friday), located further west of the main cone.

The technical director of Pevolca, Miguel Ángel Morcuende, has appealed to the public to remain calm with the evolution of the volcano La Palma because they are not facing a phenomenon any more explosive than a usual eruption in the Canary Islands.

“We are facing a fissure volcanic event of a strombolian character, which means that the different emission centres that are appearing, are doing so along a fissure, in this case in a northwest-southeast direction, in which a series of emission centres that can be turned off and new ones appear or even those that have already been turned off reappear,” he said this afternoon during the press conference after the meeting of the Pevolca Steering Committee.

The troubling aspect to this is clear: If the volcano is erupting a mile from shore up on the hill, and is now also erupting out in the ocean, then the entire area between those two points is clearly subject to the eruption, and that could cause the island to literally SPLIT APART.

There are being landslides already. Some are complaining that the whole island should have been evacuated already.

Small Landslides Beginning on LaPalma ( watch the 3rd video down on hal turners site, watch it really closely and you can see small pockets of the side of the cliff blowing out not on the top but on the lower part, this is either due to the extra weight of the lava that has erupted on top of the landslide side and or more tremors and or pressure building up inside causing both to happen. Whatever the case , this is extremely concerning at this point)

This video gives a much better view - ground level - of what is starting to take place. Those rocks are NOT falling off the TOP of the hill, they are being pushed out from twenty to thirty feet BELOW the top. That means the ground is moving. This is not good at all!

BULLETIN: CRACKS APPEARING IN ROADS

OK, this is VERY not good. Cracks are beginning to appear on public roads TO THE SOUTH of the eruption. It is to the south where the danger of landslide is worst. These cracks, appearing to the south, and way low on the island, prove the entire landmass which scientists have warned for decades could "slide" into the ocean, is, in fact, moving.

My Spanish isn’t great, but from the snippets of the video I’ve just quickly watched, they seems to be alluding to the fact the volcanic eruption on La Palma isn’t ‘natural’.

Thanks serenite , there's no doubt we have a bunch of psychopaths trying to run the earth for power, greed , and corruption, its a power play chess game to them, from the experimental shots , to planes disappearing, body doubles and now generating quakes and or tsunamis. The average citizen of the earth wants to live in peace , these beings are probably on a dozen medications just to keep them from going crazy themselves. So the story above isn't a surprise is it. Were just all along for the ride here on earth to watch the games.

One of those videos of La Palma showed a shock wave coming from the volcano, I can't remember which one but it was definitely something. And below now we sit and wait, if the rumblings increase and the way this thing has been spewing off even yesterday I don't think will have to wait for long.

The emission of ash and smoke from the volcano that has been erupting for eight days on the island in La Palma has suddenly stopped this morning after a night of constant explosions, although it is not the first time since the beginning of the eruption that these periods of inactivity have occurred.

The column of smoke that has dispersed ash throughout the island has disappeared and there is hardly any activity in the volcano, although it is not the first time since the beginning of the eruption that these periods of inactivity have occurred.

It is suggested that there are four main scenarios for the cease of activity:
1.) The main cone is blocked meaning that there will be a build-up behind it causing a bigger explosion to clear it.

2.) That the magma and seismic activity below is ‘resting’ and that it could restart at any time.

3.) That the magma below the surface has moved and is looking for another way out of the surface meaning an eruption in a different part of the island.

4.) It’s nearing the end of its activity.

Increased seismic activity has been detected by the IGN to the south of the original eruption in the area of Fuencaliente. Sixteen earthquakes have been registered this morning with one measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale at 7.05am at a depth of 10km felt by the public. All sixteen were between 2.6 and 3.2 magnitude and were at the same depth. The concern is that a new eruption could start here, so monitoring in that area has increased.

In the meantime, the lava flow is now only 800 metres from the coast of La Palma and Pevolca says the arrival is imminent and that extreme precaution must be taken following all orders and protocols.

Something happened with the volcano eruption on La Palma island in the Canary Islands, at about 3:40 AM eastern US time overnight: FLATLINE! All activity just . . . stopped.

Looking at the bottom black colored line . . . it just went totally flat. Click image (twice) to fully enlarge:



This sudden and almost inexplicable silencing of an erupting volcano on LaPalma SEEMS to coincide almost to the minute, with a Magnitude 6.0 earthquake that took place very far away on the Island of Crete in the Mediterranean Sea!

What's interesting about this is that La Palma is on the African Tectonic Plate. The African plate is slipping under (subducting) the Aegean sea plate which is the plate that Heraklion, Crete, Greece sits on the edge of.

We're no experts, but it would seem like an eruption could be effected by a decent sized quake on the other side of the plate since it's all about pressure release and movement of plates.

The map below shows LaPalma as the origin and Crete as Destination for travel, just to give readers an idea of how far away from each other those two places actually are: 9 1/2 hour air flight!

Yet within seconds of the major earthquake on Crete, the LaPalma volcano went almost completely silent. Here's the map:

The seismic activities didn't suddenly stop... the RECORDINGS of said activities quit suddenly... like the seismographs went off line or the power supply quit... or the generators ran out of fuel... etc....
