A good example of computerised electronic speed controllers and simple auto hover toy tech algorithms ... but basic propellers still !
I'd have thought more efficient ducted fans would be on the horizon or turbine jets for these smaller craft.
The science is interesting to understanding the boundaries of this form of propulsion but we all know the elephant in the room now going by the moniker .. UAP

It's a bit ... LOUD, isn't it? Not really practical this way.

First video it looks amazing cruising anywhere it wants. Second video it's kind of painful to watch how loud it is to just hover around a bit then land.

This one looks much more promising to me; not nearly so deafening or cumbersome.

I am wondering if they will build ducatis with this tech.
and what about the future moto races championship.
I would love to try one, drive above the sea or mountains.. think about!

Flying bikers will know not only all insects species from their helmets, but birds also.
And watch out the wind mills.
For me, propulsion spurring with this kind of bikes makes sense. For many years it has potential and the more we know and learn, the more potential sometimes is seen there.
Private flying bike could be expensive like an air plane, but technology goes cheaper.
Hopefully, we won't need to implement helmets for pedestrians in order to save them from litter out of flying vehicles windows. And another albedo problems.

The Jetson Air Copter is very interesting. They sold 12 so far, and run about $22k USA Dollars.

Yes WhiteFeather that one looks much more practical and feasible.
That would be very useful if you had land to patrol, like farms.

I think for most of these vehicles to be good for travelling in, they will need to be mainly sat-nav planed routes, with manual over ride.

    So programmed people carrying drones
