A potential nightmare, for sure. What about search engines that are 'private' and private email providers? I use 'Ixquick' and 'Posteo' respectively.
To quote Ixquick: 'Protect your personal data',
'Don’t be tracked or targeted online' 'Search and browse anonymously'.
If providers like these are the antidote, then I see a mass uptake with a helluva lot of people.

Find out who the people are who wrote up all of the prohibitions against free speech, find the dirt on them and publish it far and wide.
