Quote Caddie for amateur collapses, given CPR during middle of AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

    PATRICIA DUFFY
    FEBRUARY 3, 2023 AT 7:22 PM

The caddie for amateur Geoff Couch collapsed during the second round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Friday and received CPR on the course before being taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance.

The situation escalated quickly on the 11th hole when the caddie "fell on top of himself," according to PGA Tour professional Max McGreevy, who was part of the playing group along with fellow Tour pro Beau Hossler, country singer Lukas Nelson, and businessman Couch.

"We just took the bag off him quickly so they could do CPR," McGreevy told ESPN.

Play was stopped on No. 11 for nearly an hour while the caddie was tended to for an extended period of time. Couch left the playing group after the ambulance arrived while the other three players and their caddies were visibly shaken up after the incident.

Golf Channel's Todd Lewis shared later that the caddie is expected to be OK.

While the PGA Tour did not release the name of the caddie, the Tour did release a statement:

"During the second round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, there was a medical emergency at No. 11 at Pebble Beach involving an amateur's caddie. The caddie has been rushed to Montage Health for evaluation. At the direction of the PGA Tour Rules Committee, the players in that group -- Max McGreevy and Beau Hossler -- paused play during the medical emergency and will be allowed to warm up and resume their round shortly."

Two hours later, the trio resumed their round on the 11th hole after regrouping in the locker room.

‘Fit’ cop dies in Cebu marathon

Caecent No-ot Magsumbol - The Freeman
    February 6, 2023 | 12:00am

CEBU, Philippines — A seemingly fit 31-year-old policeman who joined the Cebu leg of 21-kilometer 7-Eleven 2023 Marathon was unable to make it to the finish line after he died due to an “acute decompensated heart failure” while on the race.

The deceased was identified as Patrolman Lee Rodrocks Carbonilla, who was assigned under the Technical Support Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB-7) but detailed to the Regional Headquarters Support Unit (RSHU) at PC Hills, Barangay Apas.

He has been in service for five years.

According to the spokesperson of Police Regional Office-7 Director Brigadier General Jerry Bearis, Police Lt. Col. Gerard Ace Pelare, reports they received indicated that Carbonilla suddenly fainted while running on the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).

Cebu City Councilor Joel Garganera, who was present during the marathon’s kick-off, said that a medical team from REAVO responded to the incident.

“Per the ambulance crew, upon arrival, the patient was seen lying on the road having agonal breathing. CPR was immediately done on site and an estimated five shocks were given from AED all throughout transport to Cebu City Medical Center,” said Garganera from the initial report he received.

Carbonilla, however, was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Pelare said the reason for Carbonilla's death was “acute decompensated heart failure,” which caused him to have a sudden heart attack.

RMFB-7’s force commander, Col. Ronan Claravall, who went to the funeral home where Carbonilla's body was taken, described the policeman as athletic and who frequently joined running events.

“Lagi siyang sumasama sa ganyang activity, fun run, scout ranger trained kasi yan, maganda ang pangangatawan,” Claravall said.

    Health Check

With the unfortunate incident, Claravall reminded his men to have a regular check-up.

“Always check yourself, magpunta sa ospital, magpa-check-up, magpa-executive check-up. Remember walang kahit anong yaman mo kung may dinadamdam ka naman. Walang silbi yan. Health is wealth talaga yan,” said Claravall.

    Pelare agreed.

“Bisan og healthy kaayo ka when we involve ourselves to strenuous activities such as marathon, dapat we should prepare for it. Unya check nato atong lawas basin og dili ta ready, wala ta katulog og tarong, so on and so forth. So kini man gud siya, well it’s good mangapil og physical activities ang mga police as a way of maintaining health but dili sad pugson, tan-aw nato wala ta sa kondisyon, atong paminawon atong lawas kay pareha ani very unforeseen, very sad, wala gyud makita daan,” said Pelare.

Dr. Peter Mancao, who used to be the medical director for Ironman 70.3 Cebu and other events and a participant to yesterday’s marathon under the 5-kilometer distance, said he saw comments blaming the organizers of the event.

However, he reminded the public that there are always risks involved when one joins a marathon.

“It is always a risk that a runner takes whenever he joins a running event. It is also not possible to line up every kilometer of the route with a paramedic team. Be that as it may, it is incumbent upon every participant to make sure that he/she has trained enough and has had himself checked medically as often as possible,” Mancao said.

“The runners pray that events like this give them a venue where they can put the training to test with safety and medical back up in place,” he added.

    Aid

Meanwhile, Claravall said they already have someone assigned to assist the family of the deceased with their needs.

Pelare likewise said that PRO-7 is helping the family in processing the burial benefits.

Garganera added that the organizers “are doing everything to extend assistance to the fallen runner.”

The FREEMAN tried to get an official statement from 7-Eleven and Coco Running’s Joel Suarez regarding the incident, but the latter said he is still waiting for the official communication from Manila regarding the action to take about the incident. – Decemay P. Padilla, JMD (FREEMAN)

My training is, that doing CPR on a person with a working heart, can kill them.

But perhaps this media report is wrong.

Quote 21-year-old Nigerian player collapses, dies during match in Spain

    Date: February 6, 2023
    Author: Kolawole Kazeem

A Nigerian player, Ado Hadi, with CD Madridejos in the Spanish Terceira division, collapsed and died during his side’s home match against SP Cabanillas on Sunday.

It’s yet another tragedy for the football family following the confirmation of the death of Ado Hafiz by the league body.

Hadi reportedly collapsed “for no apparent reasons” in the 39th minute of the ill-fated match, the medical team on the ground at the Municipal Toledo ground immediately came to his aide but efforts to revive him proved abortive as he was later pronounced dead minutes after.

“The Castilla-La Mancha Football Federation and Castilian-La Mancha football, with its President Pablo Burillo at the helm, are totally dismayed at such an event,” the statement added. “For this reason, the federative body remains at the disposal of CD Madridejos for everything it needs in these difficult times.

Ado played for Jigawa Golden Stars. A team he played for three seasons ago in Nigeria before moving to the Spanish side two summers ago.

Until his death, Hadi was one of the four Nigerian players playing for CD Madridejos.

Quote BREAKING: High School Senior Basketball Player Collapses From Cardiac Arrest During Game

    Feb 1, 2023

An 18-year-old high school basketball player in Detroit is on life support after going into cardiac arrest during a game on Tuesday night.

Detroit Public Schools Community District superintendent Nikolai Vitti sent a message late Tuesday night, announcing that Cartier Woods, a senior at Northwestern High School, “went into cardiac arrest” while he was playing in the varsity basketball home game against Detroit Douglass.

Woods was given CPR before being rushed to Henry Ford Hospital, about a mile away from the school. The superintendent wrote that Woods was placed on life support at the hospital and “the next 24 hours are critical for his survival.”

A spokesperson for DPSCD said later on Wednesday afternoon that he remains on life support and they are not releasing any further information at this time.

His aunt and legal guardian, Dwanda Woods, says the 18-year-old has been playing sports since he was 10 and has dreams of continuing to play in to college next year.

Woods says her nephew had no known heart conditions. She says paramedics delivered CPR for 40-60 minutes after he collapsed.

The family says they are in the process of setting up a GoFundMe but they are just asking for prayers in the meantime.

I totally agree. They need a handful of dullards , ones who will work without asking questions because they don't have the interest or capacity. When AI get's itself up and running a bit more every one even Claus Schwab will be worthless.

It is the cruelty, the sadism that I see amping up. At first I wondered why they didn't give their money making athletes placebo. After all, they distract the masses. I think the payoff is the psychic loosh that certain entities get from it. Yes, depopulation is a huge aspect of the genocide, but this is a loosh binge party for those that feed on the fear and angst generated by watching these young, healthy people fall over dead right before your eyes. Then we have gas lighting aspect which is another punch to the gut.

Again, I am not trying to be a bible thumper here but this prophetic verse comes to mind frequently. It has way more meaning as we get closer to the conclusion of the cycle
    Quote Matthew 24:22

Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.
The true instigators behind the screen don't hold any human valuable. Some humans are so deluded and arrogant that they somehow believe they are the chosen ones. I personally believe that the greatest loosh will come when they are driven in fear and treated like we have. When all their willingness to help the cause goes unappreciated and promises are broken. They are as dispensible as we are.

I say this every time and we're still at the same place. The sudden deaths in Greece have become so many. It has become so obvious and still, there is no official statement or even an organized reaction from people who lost their relatives and mostly their kids.

Is the conditioning running so deep that all will go ignored or are we on the verge of a revolution? This is not rhetorical.

    2/7/2023 7:35 am Updated 6 hours ago
Rafael Nemitz with collaboration of journalist João Lemes, from NPExpresso

The boy Richard Oliveira, 14 years old, died on the afternoon of this Monday, 6th, when he was riding a horse in São Francisco de Assis. According to the doctor who attended him, he would have suffered a heart attack.

On the morning of this Tuesday, his body will be taken to Santa Maria where the necropsy will be carried out, which could confirm what the doctor from Assisi said.

The young man lived in the Italian neighborhood and was the son of Valquíria Oliveira and Paulo Ricardo Soares de Jesus. The boy was a traditionalist from an early age, he loved rodeos and animals.

He left too soon, leaving, in addition to his family, many friends and causing commotion in the community.

Pierre Lipton died suddenly on Saturday Feb 4th. 26 yrs. He was vaccinated.

According to social media, he was running the Mesa marathon on that day. I found no corresponding news stories about a death at the marathon.

I believe the media is unwilling to cover sudden deaths.

Quote BREAKING: Former Georgia Bulldogs Tennis Player Dies Suddenly At 31

    Feb 7, 2023

Former University of Georgia women’s tennis player Lilly Kimbell, a 2014 graduate, passed away Sunday, February 5th at the age of 31.

According to Kimbell’s family, the young lady had a kidney issue that led to a massive heart attack. Family and emergency officials performed CPR on Kimbell, and she was taken to the hospital, but she was without oxygen for an extended period. The lack of oxygen caused major damage to her brain and the family then had to make the difficult decision to take her off life support.

Her sister Samantha Gillas posted a long and sweet message online in honor of Lilly. In the post Samantha shared, “I’ve looked up to you my whole life. You were so talented and loved by so many… You had an ability to make everyone smile.” Samantha ended the post saying, “I love you so much Lilly. I know you’re looking down at us watching over.”

Georgia head coach, Jeff Wallace, also had some kind words saying, “We were stunned and heartbroken to learn of Lilly passing away. I will always remember how she helped create a culture of excellence with her attitude and work ethic. Lilly was a fantastic teammate and was always smiling and laughing during practice and matches.

She ranks as one of the most successful doubles players in Georgia tennis history. During the spring of her sophomore year, she went undefeated in doubles with Maho (Kowase), and their 22-match winning streak is still a school record. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.”

A native of New Braunfels, Texas and member of the 2011-2014 tennis squads, Kimbell registered 197 combined wins – 109 doubles and 88 singles. Kimbell was a part of the 2014 SEC Tournament Championship team that finished 24-5, as well as the 2013 squad that went 24-4 and claimed the SEC Championship. She was a part of four teams that advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals.

Kimbell was named to the SEC All-Tournament team in 2012 and 2014. As a senior, Kimbell went 30-8 in singles and was tabbed the ITA Regional Most improved Senior of the Year. As a freshman, Kimbell won the 2011 ITA Southeast Regional Doubles Championship with Chelsey Gullickson.

She holds the record for most consecutive doubles wins in a season – 22 with Kowase in 2012, ranks fourth in career doubles victories with a 109-31 record and ranks seventh in doubles wins in a season with a 32-5 record in 2012.

Kimbell earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science in 2014 and a masters in Sport Management in 2016, while working for the athletic department. Following her Bulldogs career, Kimbell served as an assistant tennis coach at Eastern Illinois, as well as, St. Mary’s in San Antonio. She also worked for the Addison Group, Supreme Lending and Paycom – all headquartered in the Dallas area.

    My emphasis in bold below..

Quote Dead: Elena Fanchini (37), affection and condolences on social media: "She was the sun of the world of skiing"

After the announcement of the family, social networks filled with messages. Fisi: "She fought with determination until the end", Coni: "We will miss her smile". And Mikaela Shiffrin: "Passion and kindness"

Brescia, February 9, 2023 - Elena Fanchini died at the age of 37. The skier from Brescia had a tumor that had already attacked her in 2018 and for which she had been treated. The evil came back this summer: two years after the withdrawal from competitions by the athlete from Camuna.

The announcement came from the family: "Elena Fanchini, in Ottelli Zoletti, aged 37, was missing from the affection of her loved ones". The funeral will be held on Saturday 11 at 10.30 in Solato, in the parish church of San Giovanni Battista. At the end of the function the coffin will continue for cremation.

Thanks in advance to those who will participate in mourning. By Elena's will it is possible to support cancer research with a donation to the Airc.
