Brenda's 'tomorrow' is now today, though she's on the Canadian west coast. Does anyone have any suggestions?

when I had a couple of emergency operations and complications at the end of 2013 - and ended up on life support until I went back onto the normal ward.... I ended up having CT scans... can't remember exactly how many (maybe 4...) but before I was in that predicament I was concerned about having ANY xrays at all...

My friend who knows about homeopathic remedies and did a course on it all.... gave me the sol remedy to help with it...

I had a related problem a year ago and had to (agreed to) have another CT scan (with the dye, as was all the others) ...... my friend gave me some more of the sol remedy...

The adverse effects of xrays can show up years later .... but maybe the sol remedy can help....?

    I hope so....

I hope I'm not too late. If you are having a CT scan they can do it with contrast dye medium or without. In my opinion the contrast dye is the largest health concern. I feel that sometimes dye is used as standard procedure when it really is not needed. It's purpose is to make viewing easier. I don't know the reason your getting one but I would speak up and ask if the contrast dye is absolutely necessary? If they insist upon it you want to make sure you do a super flush with pure water after the procedure. Not just one glass but continue to drink plenty of it for at least 24 hours. You want to get that stuff out of your system it can be tough on the kidneys.

I'm going to add that it would be best to drink lots of clean water before the procedure as well. Go into it well hydrated so the process of getting rid of it is immediate. So before and after the procedure.

I wouldn't take additional iodine before the treatment.

I’d boldly suggest something like B12,6,2,3, omega-3 EPA, vitamin C and D in whatever doses you are accustomed to, before the CT scan and following 3-4 days.

If those are not at hand, drink a glass of milk or yoghurt before and after, on empty stomach unless they’re contraindicated before the procedure.
It’s not very well known nowadays perhaps because diary products are too common but pure milk helps to eliminate toxins from body en mass.

Like Pam I would suggest gentle detox protocol in order to remove broken cells from your body, green tea and miso soup are excellent idea.

Milk may be pleasant alternative for CT scans

I would ask the person running the scanner to scan ONLY bear minimum required. Most new scanner have good beam control as such no need to cover areas not scanned with lead.
I recall that eating shrimp protects from dna damage .
I would also check with the ordering doc if different modality could be utilized. For example lung scan with ct is 10 x more exposure than with nuclear medicine along with better specificity and sensitivity to clots.
