Default Myxomatosis & "The Germ" : An Analogy

Here in England, I've watched with great sadness, Myxomatosis wreak havoc in the Rabbit population since it's creation around 1952.

It's sobering to realise that we can draw a pretty good analogy with "The Germ" (COVID- 19) as it is unfolding :-

    1) both created in a laboratory by humans (using the term loosely).

    2) both allowed to "escape" into the population.

    3) both allowed to spread almost worldwide.

    4) both causing much suffering to it's victims.

    5) both causing a considerable reduction in population.

    6) both having mutations which will drag on for many years.

    7) both having no foreseeable cure.

    Etc...

I'm sorry that this is not a pleasant subject, but it needs to be said.

Are any of you folks following my train of thought ?

Yes, i do see this at the back of my house.
Every two to three years the rabbits get it, you can see in in their eyes en at their behaviour (sitting stil, not reacting)
But……if there’s a period when they have mixomatosis, there are a few rabbits left, but you see them increasing in population as the years go by.
Till that myxomatosis rears it’s ugly head again.

Animals and humans are in the same category in relation to vaccines and culling---- and most other things
