Honestly, how do these things happen just as that?

And then... It's heading that way nonstop

Quote On the same note that Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says the company will launch a new AR headset in 2022, he also predicts that the iPhone will live for as long as 10 more years, and after that, Apple will replace it with AR.
So AR, eventually integrated into the brain? As a hybrid?

I switched to Android phones some time ago, but still can't deny i use Macintosh computers and most likely will not change that anytime soon. iPhone? Some time ago i felt i was tired of it, and then i started getting upset about it for some reason, then my last one died and i could not bother to get a new one, or even care if i could get if fixed, i bought a Motorola phone with Android and moved on, destroyed the iPhone completely, after taking the battery out, just to be on the safe side

It is so hilarious that the guy from Futurama got current and near future right so much, in a tv show about "the future"

The speed at which your requested (unsolicited too even) data is retrieved and delivered to you comes at almost instant speed. The biggest latency is in the input phase.. manually keying in your search for example. The biggest innovation and capture of market-share clearly goes to the manufacturer that overcomes this. It's not as far in the future as shown in the cartoon, it's very close, and millions will run towards it like Philip.J.Fry shaking his fist full of dollars and bellowing "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!"

Ne, don't you think we kind of were all setup for this, way long before we were born? Isn't this just like a 'current version' of past pre-designed ways of living?

Weren't people going to buy color tvs in the same way? And what about microwaves, and then those old ground line phones or whatever they are called. Radios were also a "voice" from far aware, weren't they?

Once phones became a thing, were people weirded out by hearing their families voices through that weird device, and not having to travel thousand km to reach them and hear from them?

And tv, you could watch a channel and learn it all without leaving home. Was whatever on that screen real? How did people felt about trusting it?

Mode of transmitting or controlling, matters? It seems as if it is the same thing from back then, just adapted to the current times.

Aren't basic principles just the same?

Can't argue with that Malisa.  Having lived the majority of my life in small country towns, (hate having to live in the city), the rest of the world always felt like it was as far away as another planet, pre-internet of course, because we only ever got snippets and sound-bite news.

And everyone raved and lapped up anything new that came along that was going to make life easier.

Old or tech Toys are simply distractions no matter how advanced they get. The only constant for thousands of years is that there is one group that gets to write the narrative for everyone to follow. This group is behind the 3 middle eastern based religions to keep people away from their spiritual source. Money is their system of energy to waste human potential and keep everyone in servitude.

Same but different. You can hang up the land line phone, change the channel on the t.v or switch it off and go wander in the woods.

Smart phones are slightly harder to put down because in addition to calls are all the other integrated services like banking, cameras and too many more to list... but you can still turn it off.. there may be a capability to remotely turn it back on with access and function control but you can put the thing in a different room.

The next generation of devices with full integration after some surgery is probably to be permanent. And if remotely controlled there may be the possibility that the device and it's human attachment both can be turned on... or off.
