Almost 1000 years, a knight stuck a sword into a stone, and after his death was ordained as a saint. With the age of the sword confirmed, and San Galgano now hailed as a hero in eternity by church and state, this is a fascinating story.

Wow go for it,you never been played.clearly stated its a story of interest!
I always thought that the drawing of the sword from stone was symbolic of forging a iron weapon from rock.
iron weapons would have given any Chief a massive advantage over bronze.

aka the reason for all old stories... education (I'd say that you tapped into a very shallow interpretation of that story, but still, you recognize there is more depth than the surface story... so it's a win)?

nah, we have action movies now... clearly there is no depth of thought in entertainment and it should never be explored for knowledge... especially the old stories.

@Satori, I can confirm that whilst I did read the sign saying the paint was wet, I thought instead of touching it though, I'd ask others here in the PA forum to see whether they thought it was dry.

Fear not, as a well grounded pragmatic scotsman, I'm often reminded of the famous quote by Lysander Spooner -
