Default 1983 Movie certainly seems to portray the USA as it is now - a Clown World.

I was browsing some old movies to download and watch, and I came across this one:

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085267/?ref_=ttpl_pl_tt

    BORN IN FLAMES

    IMDb Rating: 6.5/10
    Genres: Comedy, Drama, Sci-Fi
    Language: English
    Quality: 720p WEB-DL [HEVC]
    Size: 976MB
    Director: Lizzie Borden
    Writers: Ed Bowes, Lizzie Borden
Stars: Honey, Adele Bertei, Jean Satterfield

    What's Bizarre is the synopsis:

Storyline: Set ten years after the most peaceful revolution in United States history, a revolution in which a socialist government gains power, this films presents a dystopia in which the issues of many progressive groups – minorities, liberals, gay rights organizations, feminists – are ostensibly dealt with by the government, and yet there are still problems with jobs, with gender issues, with governmental preference and violence. In New York City, in this future time, a group of women decide to organize and mobilize, to take the revolution farther than any man – and many women – ever imagined in their lifetimes.

Revolution in which a socialist govt gains power. Check
Issues of liberals, gays, minorities, feminists are dealt with by Govt. Check
Still problems, however, with jobs, govt preference and violence. Check

Even the title seems to speak to the rioting and burning we have seen in the last year.

And in the final part - In New York City they have a group of women who decide to take it even further. Unless you count AOC in that - in which case - Check.

Now, what's even more bizarre is the top review on this jewel:

    Top review 7/10
    Strangely prescient
An interesting and timely movie for 2019. I found it particularly interesting that the writers of this movie, in 1981, we able to craft dialogue for the "Men's movement" that is exactly what the alt-right men of today are spouting.

So the reviewer noticed that it was prescient, but focused on the "Men's Movement that the alt-right men of today are sprouting", which is a prequel to the blame that
the alt right is being condemned for now, even when the left were later found to be the ones actually responsible for most of it.

Were they testing the waters? Seems too close to today to be an accident.

CIA psy-op, or insiders on the writing team? I really could not locate the book or short story that this was supposed to be based off of, and I have not yet watched it, but I probably will, just to see if it is closer to today than even the synopsis suggest.

    What think Ye?
