of course... while it's quite possible that this is "Proof the powers-that-be are controlling criminal psychopaths" it is equally possible that these are musicians practicing harmony, deliberately isolated from the other musicians in order to maintain focus on their own melodic line. Just saying... cos i'm a musician who has used the same isolation technique.

With all respect, you’ve got to be kidding.

How is a room full of kids, each in a plastic bubble, tooting on horned instruments well within the range of hearing (and sight) of each other going to assist them in maintaining focus on their melodic lines? Your point might be well-taken if they were practicing alone.

Besides, the OP asked for a caption to the thread. I made an attempt to provide one.

A brave try. I used to sing bass in a four-part acapella harmony group and I can tell you that we needed to be able to hold our tune whilst listening also to the other parts. It doesn't work otherwise.
