The film is based on the first part of the novel Nastasya Filippovna. 26-year-old Prince Lev Nikolaevich Myshkin returns from a sanatorium in Switzerland, where he spent several years, to Russia. He arrives at the house of the Yepanchins' relatives and meets an amazing woman, Nastasya Filippovna. The prince falls in love with her from the very first second, but this stunning beauty of a woman has such a complicated life ... I did not know this movie was made, it's from 1958, i only read the book once very long ago so i don't even remember all the details of the story anymore, but i did like the movie a lot, unfortunately as said above in the summary, there is only a partial film :/
