From the Russian Jewish Pole Mieczysław Weinberg, who, fleeing the Nazi persecution of Jewish people in Poland, found asylum in the Soviet Union and got befriended with Dmitri Shostakovich – both composers entering a personal and creative friendship which, in the history of music, rivals the one between Haydn and Mozart. Just like the greatness of Haydn and Mozart can be compared but for all genuine and sincere listeners will never lead to a "he is the greater one" , this has also become the case with Shostakovich and Weinberg.

This is his Sixth Symphony, with boys’ choir, one of his many terrifyingly beautiful reminiscences of the victims of the Second World War:

Another of the incredibly talented "fingerstyle" acoustic guitar players gracing this planet at the moment. For the guitar players out there, you'll appreciate the incredible technique.

Many crisp, clean guitar players keep the pinkie fingertip of the strumming/picking hand on the soundboard, as an anchor, to know where the strings are - not this guy! Amazing for him to hit precise harmonics during vigorous slap/pound picking where he is rhythmically raising his hand off the guitar and coming back down. His finger finds the harmonic with no anchor point. Like all people who have mastered a technique, he makes this look easy.
