Take a stroll down ‘Amnesia Lane’, and hear some music recorded at an iconic Sydney pub in the mid-1990’s:

I was 24 years old. My DJ career was on the rise. There was war in the Middle-East. But in this venue, the war was left outside.

Oh Tigger, you lucky s.o.b. Australia in the early-to-mid 90's was magical. "No worries" is right. God what you've lost, but hey, looks like it's coming our way too. Let's hope not, "What're you up to Trumpstein?"

Wish I coulda been there that night, great set mate! I made The Big Day Out in Perth in '94, that day is up there as one of the top five days of my life. Really loved the Aussie culture mate, feel fortunate to have had a year to experience it.

Recently I watched the 2000 film of "gladiator" for about the 3rd time, this is a concise story that was beautifully executed - is it strictly historically accurate? Not really but it is nicely imagined and of course Hans Zimmer presents a beautiful theme that stirs my emotions, this piece of music with the almost mystical vocal line captures the spirit of struggle, of striving for natural justice in a brutal, wicked game of ambition & egotism, something about this music speaks to me, perhaps you will enjoy it also?

Johnny Cash put out four albums of amazing covers before he passed. Love how a song can transcend time and transport you back to a memory or a time in your life that you may have forgotten, good or bad, it's irrelevant, music casts a spell over those still in tune with their hearts.

    Here’s a little memory-bump for the Sydney Gen-X clubbers circa 1995:

It follows-on from my previous mix in post #2460

Cool, did not know he did a Soundgarden song. Loved the original back then during the Grunge times (early 90s).

This lady who is a total newcomer is going viral right now with this cover song on YouTube. For good reason. She's impressive for sure. I think it's better than the original. Many think it is one of the best vocal covers ever. (A few claimed she was AI, but this is not true, she's a real human).
