Even here in our countryside, gas prices have skyrocketed by an astonishing Php20.00, the largest increase we've ever seen.

Here in Portugal we had a 14 cent increase in Diesel this week and expected another 24 cent increase next Monday, taking Diesel price to an historic 2,20€/litre...

    It's unbelieveable

Passing the petrol station last night, diesel was Ł1.57. This morning it was Ł1.63, a 6p hike overnight (that's 24p per gallon); whilst not swamped it was busier than usual and it seems like panic buying is starting.

I put my reserve from the jerry can into the fuel tank last week as I'd had it for about 5 months and you're not supposed to let it languish for too long. I paid Ł1.41 a litre for it and thought that was really expensive at the time!

What about our North Sea oil reserves? I guess that they export a lot of that...

(Update - one day later, the price is Ł1.68, a 5 pence hike overnight.)

It's everywhere the same... here in Belgium:

Diesel (fuel) for cars was just two years ago, 1.23 € per litre or about 4.95 US$ per gallon.
Today it is 8.40 US$ per gallon. And tomorrow... it will be 9.25 US$ per gallon.
For a full tank (about 60 litres for many cars and good for about 800 kms or 500 miles) we'll be looking at about 30 cents (US) per mile!
And that is just for gas/fuel. I was filling up my tank this evening... someone else too, he had many jerrycans with him that he filled up. He said he "had heard" it could go up to 4 times what it is today. If that would happen, the entire economy may come to a standstill (transportation will be impossible to pay for; there is a thread about food shortages here too).

For heating fuel (we say: mazout), I paid a couple months ago 0.60 € a litre. I ordered today (to fill up the tank) and paid 1.34 € a litre; had I ordered tomorrow, it would have been 1.43 € per litre...

Crazy times indeed (yet I think this is just the beginning).

In sweden, with its high socialst taxes, we pay 10.6 dollars per one gallon of diesel, or 2,77 dollars per litre. And the prices are rising by the day. Could be highest in the world? Well you just have to be best at something...

"Fuel Experts" (hilarious) saying price going to go down 10 cents here in Canada cause Saudi Arabia I think, said they'd boost their production to meet this new global demand.

They know we can't be pushed too hard, it's like a tug of war going on.

In Mexico gasoline is at $22 Mexican pesos per litre (1USD). It has been like that for a while, with the Ukraine-Russia war, it should have been up to $26 Mex pesos per litre but the government is subsidizing the extra $4 pesos per litre. Those extra $4 pesos are coming from the high price of our oil sales, more that $100 USD per barrel.
So, we are good for the moment.

    I am in Ontario.

I would ask how long they have operated like this?

Unprecedented? It depends on our perspectives. I would say they have been doing things like this for centuries.

What I understand is a new world order has a new price. I am happy to pay it, cause even I am not happy I still have to pay it. So why make it so hard on myself.

Hmmmmm. More false praise for Trump.

    =============================

Americans seem especially gullible to misinformation when they’re bleeding at the gas station.
With the Russia-Ukraine war pushing gas prices well above $4 per gallon, motorists are looking for somebody to blame—and President Biden’s critics sense an opportunity. Leading Republicans such as House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy say Biden’s decision to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline last year explains why gas prices are so high now. Former Vice President Mike Pence is running ads claiming killing Keystone XL made the United States more dependent on Russian oil. Fox News tells viewers gas prices would fall if Biden would only reverse the Keystone XL decision. Here at Yahoo, people write in frequently to echo these claims.
It's all nonsense. The Keystone XL pipeline would have been a new way for one Canadian energy firm to ship oil to the United States. But the nation still gets all the oil it needs from Canada, its own producers and many other countries.
“People have this idea that because Keystone XL was not completed, the oil just disappeared. It didn’t,” says Samantha Gross, director of the energy security and climate initiative at the Brookings Institution. “That oil got produced anyway and is still getting to market through trains and other pipelines.”
There's never been any lost supply

Canadian firm TC Energy proposed the Keystone XL pipeline in 2008, as a way to ship more oil from Alberta, Canada to Nebraska, where it would then enter existing pipelines for final transport to Gulf Coast refineries. There were other pipelines bringing Canadian oil to the United States, but XL would have been a more direct route that also added capacity. The project drew local and national opposition from the beginning. The type of oil TC Energy wanted to transport was unusually dirty, triggering environmental protests. Local communities, including Native American tribes, worried about spills along the 882-mile U.S. portion of the pipeline.

Biden is a puppet of the globalist who wish to break America.
They wish to break the economy.
Do you think the supply chain broke itself?
Did Russia cause a mass of Chinese shipping container vessels to sit in the Pacific with rotting cargo because American cities with liberal governments wouldn't process them?

Trump would have prevented all of this because he wouldn't have caused this.
You've gotten rid of the mean tweets and traded them for traitorous sabotage.
Don't be fooled into thinking these results are those of incompetence, these are the results of planning and orchestration.
But go ahead and defend Biden with MSM copy and pasted propaganda.

Here in the U.S we have Biden to thank for that.

Trump was well on his way to making us energy independent. Ol Joe shut it down. Way to go Joe.
Hmmmmm. More false praise for Trump.

    =============================

The only one believing what you're parroting is you.
Biden is a pile of maggot-ridden vomit. I do not defend him. I posted the above because it exposes the fact that the same amount of oil is coming from Canada to the US after shutting down the GODDAMN XL pipeline. I have friends that nearly died at Standing Rock, assaulted by Trump's henchmen (after Obama didn't crush the damn Indian rebellion because he didn't want the stain on his presidency.) These F***ers are ALL scum, Trump included, you just glummed onto one of them that is so F***ing stupid he doesn't even know he's a globalist! You're defending the Big Energy mafia just because Trump assisted them? Do you have any clue whatsoever who the actual bad guys are on this planet?
...and you keep on lauding the corporatist-globalist that doesn't know he's a corporatist and a globalist (in ACTIONS - it's easy to yell "deep state!" and pretend that you're not assisting the corporate giants that are exactly what the real deep state is protecting. The goddamn Democrats are just as goddamn guilty as the goddamn Republicans for the entire giant, corroded, broken, malignant, USA and for aiding and abetting in the takeover of the USA by the Americentric Corporate Empire that rules much of the world. Trump just wasn't a groomed political insider, but he was/is very much an "Elite" insider, a megalomaniacal member of the 0.01%, and defended corporations (like the foreign corporation that wanted to put a sulfide mine at the heart of the US's fresh water supply) to the applause of those under the spell of Republican rhetoric. I've got 50 other ways that Trump is not worthy of your praise (unless you are cheering for the Amerientric Corporate Empire's military invasions, and praise oligarchs like Gates and Bezos.) Listing the Truth about Trump is NOT lauding ANY of the goddamn other sh!theads in high office, democrat or republican. There are no good guys to pick from, no good politicians to laud and follow - but fer chrissake, stop supporting this phony hero. (And, may hillary and all the democrats be burned at the stake for the "Russia-gate" concoction.)

    It's real simple.
Nationalists are the only ones acknowledging and fighting globalism.
    It isn't difficult.
You muddy the water to make it appear as though it's deep.
You try to condemn Trump on the subject of foreign wars when that is his platform of near perfection.
If Trump is so evil why would the globalists go to such lengths to cheat him out of his presidency?
    Simplify for actions sake.
You over analyze with some kind of mythic imagined perfection that is unreasonable and unattainable.
    Simplify.
When given the choice of good or bad,,,, take the good.
    It's that easy.
