    Strong M7.3 Earthquake Hits Fukushima, Japan

    At 11:36 AM eastern US Time Wednesday, a Magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck in the Pacific Ocean, just off the coast of Fukushima, Japan. The quake seriously shook the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant disaster site, even though the quake was at a depth of about 63.1km depth.

    Tsunami alerts are sounding in Japan, and citizens are being told to seek higher ground.

    The powerful 7.3-magnitude earthquake jolted the east of Japan and left its supermarkets and houses trashed
    Meanwhile skyscrapers and other buildings in capital Tokyo rocked during the latest quake to hit the country
    The epicentre was off the coast of Fukushima, site of the devastating nuclear disaster in 2011, 37 miles deep
    Shortly after it hit, an advisory for tsunami waves of one metre was issued for Fukushima and Miyagi regions
