I honestly dont think ANYONE in this thread can say it is real, or it is not real based on the facts that have been shown in the video only. Additional information is needed form both sides, the person rolling the camera, and the mother/child.

Is not 'levitation' a traditional, magical, mystical word for 'anti-gravity'; such as, 'gods' being the traditional word for (modern day) 'aliens'!? Do 'aliens' not use 'anti-gravity' to be able to move their crafts!?

Human beings have an understanding, to whatever degree, of how 'anti-gravity' propulsion works. Regardless how it works exactly, it requires electricity - and what do living things create, electricity.

The heavier something is the more electrical current is needed; for example, moving one-hundred ton blocks of stone or a craft of some sort. What if the object is 'lighter', would it not require less energy to 'move'!? Could not this same energy be used for other things, such as mind manipulation and stealth!?

If this is disputed, then think about what has given you this thought, what is happening in your mind right now - 'electrical currents' in the brain. What makes muscle tissue move and keeps the body functioning!?

Using traditional words, like 'aura', 'chi', 'soul/spirit', etc were words used to best describe what takes place in the body; using simpler words and knowledge. Now imagine, the body as a power source and one tapping into that power source manipulating it - what can be achieved.

Looking at this topic, and others, in this perspective may give a better understanding to what is possible. No mystery, but a (possible) reality. This is not to imply the event being discussed is real, just the possibility of it being real.

The Patanjali Yoga Sutras Book III describes the process of levitation in one of the verses. It says that controlling the flow of "udana" energy grants the ability to levitate. Udana is one of the 5 life breaths, an upward air/energy that flows in the thoracic cavity, neck nose and throat area.. If you've never read the Patanjali Yoga Sutras i'd highly advise it, its pretty amazing..
Levitation is something i've been working on for a while now. I've been able to raise up til i was standing on only my big toes about vertical with the other 8 toes curled up and barely any weight on them, but whenever i get to that point, beyond it i usually pass out and faint. It's incredibly intense and demanding.. But totally possible.. I'm also able to reduce my weight on a scale, can't quite get off the ground yet but getting there..

Back about 1973, iirc, I heard that a famous yogi (Swami Muktananda) was coming to town. This fellow was apparently able to transmit an awakening energy called Shaktipat, and since I was familiar with and highly respected his guru, I decided to visit the gentleman to see what was what.

Well, he was waving a peacock feather over the heads of folks who approached him in line, and passing out a Shiva mantra. Being a Zen Buddhist practitioner for a number of years prior, I hadn't used a mantra before, but out of curiosity, I decided to give it a go and see what that was all about.

I used the mantra continuously for several months, until one day while meditating in the lotus position I noticed that I was hovering about a foot above my cushion. For some reason, this seemed hilarious to me, and as I began to laugh out loud, I plopped back down on the zafu.

After that episode, I went back to my regular zazen. I realized that I could easily get fascinated by yogic phenomena, but that was not my path this time around. I felt intuitively that I had already done all that stuff, and what I needed to do with this life was to fully awaken, and not get distracted by the possibilities of experiential by-products.

Whatever remains, though neither perceivable or conceivable -- we are That.

There's something that appears to be a black object around her buttocks area ... but I have a hard time figuring how a child (~5 or 6 years of age) can have her legs up that high behind her when the natural position (if gravity and rope were engaged in a tug-o-war) would be below her torso. Just the physics of it and a young child's limited ability in resisting gravity ... makes me think the event is real. Also, there's only a few seconds between child in air and mother(??) untangling child from a putative rope and running off. Doesn't seem likely that this event was staged. At least, from my knowledge of time and space and human abilities.



ps: The only thing I can see in the way of a staged event is if the black object near the child's buttocks is some kind of claw contraption (at the end of a long cable) that opens and releases the child. Cable is quickly hoisted out of camera range; and mother catches child and runs. But that may be stretching reason beyond the elastic limit and/or slicing it on Occam's Razor.

I saw that as well, and it looks like some sort of body brace may be used with possibly a quick release to aid in getting away quickly. Children can be trained to do a lot of things gymnastically speaking. I think the video cutting away at the crucial moment plus that area at the bottom of her jacket puts this in the hoax category for me.
