I don't know if anyone else has posted the videos following before on any of Jena's threads, but I think they are something that need to be looked at when discussing the possible future of ecovillages in China today.
The order in which the videos are presented on the first youtube page is a bit confusing, and doesn't seem to match the order in the subsequent youtube pages.
I haven't watched them all myself as yet, but the philosophy and origin of the ecovillages seem to be identical to those which Jena has presented as characterisitic of her own ecovillage.
There seems to be some contradictions in the way the philosophy of these Chinese communities is being described.
If marriage is forbidden, then what is actually being practiced is what we call in the West polyamory, which by its very nature, is characterized by promiscuity.
Though according to the ecovillage's doctrine, promiscuity is frowned upon.
As I recall, in a previous exchange with Jena it was revealed that the founder of these ecovillages was discovered to have been secretly promiscuous with quite a few of the women members.
So possibly a sexual addiction was part of his motivation for designing the community to be polyamorous.
Perhaps making polyamory official in these ecovillages was simply too much for the government to accept, and that is one reason why they were closed down.
I doubt that polyamory would be considered moral, much less ideal by most people in China, and if that continues to be part of the design that is planned on being exported to other countries, I expect that will be causing a lot more problems.
Marx famously thought religion was "the opium of the masses", and so I don't think he would have had much admiration for Christ or the religious principles he espoused, as Jena has claimed.
And of course, the sacrament of marriage and parental/child loyalty are essential parts of Christianity, as well as other religions.
I wonder if any studies have been done on the mental and emotional health of children who are not considered to be solely the children of their actual birth parents in such an environment.
There are many ecovillages and other intentional communities in the US and other Western countries which are thriving, but without those restrictions on marriage.

It is more common for the CCP to treat racial minoriites in China in the way the closed down communities were, confiscating their property with no warning or recompense.
(Though I don't know if any of the members were minorities.)
I cannot help but wonder if such might become the same fate of Jena's community in China, especially in view of the increasingly draconian manner that Xi's CCP is currently manifesting.
Practicing the kind of communism that Jena is proselytizing may be next to impossible in China's future Communist society, unless XI is overthrown and a less tyrannical leader is put in his place.
Unless the CCP decides to allow the community to continue so that they can point to it as an example of what an ideal lifestyle ordinary Chinese people are living, though that is far from the truth.
For most rural Chinese who live in poverty, or for the racial minorities, it is very far from the norm.
Most of the wealthy Chinese live in the cities, including millionaires and billionaires, while most of the poor live in rural areas.
(Obviously the distribution of wealth is as much a problem in China as it is elsewhere.)

"The largest ecovillage project in China is being forced to close by the Yunnan Authorities. One hundred and thirteen permanent residents of the Second Home ecovillage project, part of the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN), have been given notice to vacate with no offers of assistance or compensation from the Yunnan authorities.
The Second Home is the largest ecovillage project in China with spiritual pursuits and values. The core values of the Second Home are to revere the Greatest Creator, nature, and LIFE, and to follow the path of the Greatest Creator and the way of nature. We are creating and living a brand new life mode with no marriage or traditional family, with no private ownership, people live together in a big harmonious family, and all resources belonging to the community. Currently, our community has three branches scattered in Anning, Chuxiong, and Lincang of Yunnan Province, and our whole area is around one hundred, forty-five acres. The total number of permanent residents across all three branches is one hundred, thirteen, including twelve children.
The lifestyle and production methods of the Second Home ecovillage project are totally different from traditional lifestyle and production methods. Local government is afraid that we will develop into an "illegal organization" that could bring problems to Chinese society and to the government, and therefore they want to shut us down in order to avoid potential problems using the excuse that we did not register with the Department of City Affairs.
One hundred and thirteen permanent residents are affected, the majority of whom are women up to eighty-six years of age. Our communities have existed peacefully with surrounding residents for more than four years and received government cooperation and encouragement over this time. We have now been given very short notice to vacate our homes and the land we have tended with no written legal documents given by local government officials.
The landlords are being pressured by local officials and government officers to end the leases early. Attacks on our communities over the last two month have varied from damage to property to physical assaults on community members and are rumoured to have been financed by local government officials. No assistance has been given to residents to relocate, nor has any form of compensation for costs incurred by the communities been offered.
