    Mostly BS. American Baseball was invented by the Dutch. There are Dutch paintings in the Dutch “Golden Age” (mid 1600s) where children are shown playing a game remarkably similar to Baseball. Also, in the late 1700s, New York papers mention baseball games being played in the area. New York, of course, once was New Amsterdam, i.e. settled by the Dutch. All the Abner Doubleday “inventing baseball” is false.

    It doesn't mater imho who invented it, it is who projected it, for gain, shepheards invented golf in Scotland they have no sway on a world wide game let alone royalties , I think you have missed the point
