How Vladimir Putin Made Russia Great Again

    (extract from long article)

The propaganda spread by the US always wanted to dismantle Russia piece by piece. But Putin knew it all along and disrupted their plans, restoring Russia's superiority. In his column, ageopolitical analyst S L Kanthan delves in deeper into the origin of Putin's heroic act.

The US has been consumed by virulent Russophobia for a decade, and the entire US establishment demonizes President Vladimir Putin in unison. There is no free speech for American and European presstitutes when it comes to Russia - every journalist, TV anchor, academic and think tank must hate Putin and portray Russia as a threat to the collective West.

Thus, the truth has been buried under sixty feet of propaganda and censorship. The fact is that after the fall of the Soviet Union, globalists fantasized about breaking up Russia further and erasing it from history. That's when Putin came, disrupted the American plan, saved Russia, and began the task of restoring the civilizational state to its greatness.

Let us look at what has been hidden from much of the public. There are also valuable lessons for India and other countries of the Global South.

The real US-Russia conflict is about geopolitical power struggle for world domination, which involves hundreds of trillions of dollars, massive egos of Machiavellian globalists, and nations driven by memory of the past and visions of the future.

    End of History

To understand the psychology of the powers-that-be who rule the West, one must go to 1989 when the USSR started to implode with US-funded revolutions spreading all across Eastern Europe. Even China was not spared, as seen in the Tiananmen Square protests.

That year, an American scholar, Francis Fukuyama, wrote an article titled, "The End of History?" which claimed that American-style capitalism and democracy had decisively won the ideological battle.

The world was going to become a replica of the United States of America. Everyone will drink Coca Cola, buy Nike, watch CNN, drive General Motors, open up their country to Wall Street, and vote for a pro-US candidate. Furthermore, Americans had also just invented the World Wide Web, with which the deep state would monitor and control the entire world. There was no other alternative. It was the end of political history and the beginning of a truly global empire.

This idea was so tantalizing that US elites funded Fukuyama to write an entire book on the same theme three years later.

    Shocking Betrayal

West's belief it can defeat Russia 'a mere illusion' - Putin

    RT
    Thu, 24 Oct 2024

The West is using Ukraine to threaten Russia's security while believing in the "illusion" that it can inflict a strategic defeat on Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.

Speaking at the extended Outreach/BRICS Plus format session in Kazan on Thursday, Putin stated that the emergence of a "more just world order" is being hampered by "forces accustomed to thinking and acting in the logic of domination over everything and everyone."

According to Putin, the West's "unlawful unilateral sanctions" and interference in the affairs of other countries under the pretense of "concern for democracy and human rights" are actively undermining regional and global strategic stability, as well as encouraging "interstate strife."

Putin pointed to Ukraine as an example, stating that it is being used to "create critical threats to Russia's security" while Moscow's vital interests, as well as its "just concerns about the infringement on the rights of Russian-speaking people," are being ignored.

Kiev's foreign backers "do not even hide any longer their goal of inflicting a strategic defeat on our country." Putin said, adding that the West's belief that it can achieve its goals is "a mere illusion."

"Only those who don't know the history of Russia can believe in this, because they don't take into account the unity and the strength of spirit of Russians forged over the centuries," Putin stated.

🗨️The Russian president said clearly at the Valdai Club meeting that the ball is in the US’ court.

When a serious world leader such as Putin threatens the use of nuclear weapons (no matter how small or tactical) it almost ensures the eventual use of those weapons, not necessarily by Putin but by a world leader somewhere on the planet. If you are even a casual observer of Globalist politics then you know how easy it is to normalize abhorrent behaviour. In the last decade, every other movie that Hollywood made has been about the end of the world and now that appears to be a realistic possibility.

Cracking the nuclear door open may go down as one of the biggest mistakes in world history.

Putin is unusually silent right now.

That almost certainly means that something fairly major is about to happen.

    Key points:

The tests of the "Oreshnik" system were reported as successful, and further testing will continue.

A stockpile of such systems is already available.

Russia plans to continue testing its latest missiles, including under combat conditions, depending on threats to its security.

The "Oreshnik" system is described as a completely new development, not a modernization of old Soviet systems.

The domestic missile engineering school is recognized for its significant potential.

Russia is said to have a reserve of ready-to-use systems similar to "Oreshnik."

It was stated that no other country currently has a weapon comparable to "Oreshnik."

The future of Russia is considered to depend significantly on achieving the objectives of the special military operation.

The "Oreshnik" system is not classified as strategic weaponry or a weapon of mass destruction.

The decision to mass-produce the "Oreshnik" system has been made, and the process is already underway to deploy it to the Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN).

Additional systems of a similar type are undergoing testing, forming a new lineup of medium- and shorter-range missiles.

Takeaways from Putin’s Q&A session in Kazakhstan: Oreshnik missile, inflation, ruble

The Russian president also spoke about inflation and the ruble exchange rate, noting that the situation is under control

ASTANA, November 28. /TASS/. The Oreshnik missile system bolsters Russia's military strength, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

That the country came in possession of the advanced and powerful weapon system does not, however, change its approach to the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, according to the president.

Putin also spoke about inflation and the ruble exchange rate, noting that the situation is under control.

TASS has put together key points from the present’s statements.

Strikes with Western weapons, Oreshnik missile

Russia has already been attacked twice with ATACMS missiles after it launched an Oreshnik missile recently.

Western weapons striking inside Russia mean the West id directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine.

The country will retaliate for acts of aggression against it.

Russia believes it would not make sense to use hypersonic missiles for striking small targets.

Moscow could use the Oreshnik to strike decision-making centers in Kiev and defense industry sites.

An Oreshnik strike can compare to the impact from a collision with a meteorite, which creates a crater fit for an entire lake.

"We know from history what meteorites fell where, and what the consequences were. Sometimes it was enough to form entire lakes."

Publicity is inappropriate when dealing with new weapons, and that was exactly the case with the Oreshnik missile system.

"We waited until the moment when we conducted the test and, in fact, saw a result. And then we made an announcement."

The Oreshnik strengthens Russia's military position.

    Nuclear weapons

Only "irresponsible people" can make statements about the possibility of transferring nuclear weapons to Kiev.

Russia will use all available weapons if Ukraine obtains nuclear weapons.

    "We will not allow it."

If someone transferred nuclear weapons to Ukraine, it would be a violation of non-proliferation commitments.

"If someone were to officially transfer something, then it would be a violation of all the non-proliferation commitments in the field of non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction."

Ukraine can’t make nuclear weapons, except for a dirty bomb.

"But even in this case the response will be absolutely proportionate to the threats to the Russian Federation.

    Ukraine conflict

If Russia comes in possession of any advanced and powerful weapons systems, that does not change its approach to the settlement in Ukraine.

Russia remains ready to negotiate with Ukraine, and the conditions have not changed.

    Inflation, ruble

The central bank's inflation data is absolutely accurate and easily verified.

"Real inflation is easily verified by independent centers that assess the state of the Russian economy and the credit and financial sector."

There are tools to fight inflation without increasing the key rate, but it is up to the central bank to make decisions.

The ruble exchange rate is driven by many factors.

"As for the ruble exchange rate, it <...> is linked both to payments to the budget and oil prices. There are a lot of seasonal factors."

The exchange rate is under control.

"In general, in my opinion, the situation is under control. And there are certainly no grounds for panic."

    Relations with Europe

"It is not our fault that our relations with Europe have deteriorated so much. This is, among other things, a result of the internal state of the European establishment and European politics."

Both Russia and Europe are interested in restoring relations.

Europe is dancing to the Americans tune, even if that damages its own interests.

    About Trump

US President-elect Donald Trump could be in danger.

"Absolutely uncivilized means of struggle have been used against Trump - up to and including an assassination attempt, and more than one."

    Armenia, CSTO

The Collective Security Treaty Organization is "alive and developing." The countries that take an active part in its work are interested in maintaining communication.

Armenia's current sentiment toward the organization is "dictated by internal political problems" and the consequences of the crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Armenia so far has not announced its withdrawal from the CSTO.

"It has stated that it is taking a pause, but at the same time it supports all the documents that are adopted during our meeting today and in the process of negotiations."

The CSTO did not have to get involved in the Karabakh conflict, as Armenia was not suffering from external aggression during that conflict.

Armenia could fully return to work in the CSTO.

"There is a possibility that Armenia will fully return to work in this organization. We will see."

    Situation in Georgia

Russia does not meddle in Georgia’s internal politics, but the West does.

"When the events in Georgia began, I was, frankly speaking, looking at all that, observing it, with surprise. We have no relations with them, with the Georgian leadership, none. But I just marveled at their courage and the mettle they showed in order to defend their point of view. I won’t now give an assessment of that point of view."

Putin signs law on taxation of digital currencies

According to the law, digital currency is recognized as property

MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on taxation of digital currency. The law has been officially published.

According to the law, digital currency is recognized as property. This includes currency used for foreign trade settlements "under the experimental legal regime in the field of digital innovations".

Mining and selling digital currency will not be subject to VAT. In addition, there will be no taxes on the services of an organization that carries out transactions under the experimental legal regime.

The operator of the mining infrastructure will have to inform the tax authorities who uses its services to issue cryptocurrency. Failure to provide such information in a timely manner will result in a fine of 40,000 rubles ($382.78).

    Income and profit taxes

For income tax purposes, digital currency earned through mining is classified as non-cash income (typically used when goods or services are used as payment rather than money). The value of the resulting currency is determined based on market prices. Such income is taxed at the normal progressive rate, taking into account tax deductions equal to the mining expenses.

At the same time, income from the purchase, sale, or other circulation of digital currency will be taxed according to a two-step scale of personal income tax rates - 13% for income up to 2.4 mln rubles ($22,965.7) and 15% for income exceeding this amount. The income will be included in the same tax base as income from transactions with securities, bank deposits, and other sources.

As for corporate income tax, digital currency mining will be taxed at the standard rate - 25% from 2025.

    Limitations

The law introduced some restrictions to the tax regime. Organizations and individual entrepreneurs engaged in the mining and sale of digital currency do not have the right to switch to paying a single agricultural tax, to apply a simplified tax system, and to use a special tax regime "Automated Simplified Tax System".

The patent system and the self-employment regime do not apply to mining and transactions with digital currency.

The law enters into force on the day of its official publication, except for provisions for which other terms are established. Some transitional provisions are provided.

Some of you may have heard something of the new drama about Angela Merkel, Putin, and Koni the dog. Here's the whole story:

    🇷🇺VLADIMIR PUTIN:

[Chancellor Merkel has recently released her memoirs, wherein she dedicates a considerable portion to your relationship and recounts an incident from 2007 when she travelled to Sochi to visit you and encountered your dog, Konni.]

    "She encountered the dog?"

[Indeed, she did meet your dog, yes. Many of us remember that dog.]

"'The police with the dog promised to come…' No. 'The dog and the police promised to come.' Yes? Alright, apologies, I’m kidding."

[Many of us recall the dog. She was exceedingly amiable; numerous people even petted her, and she enjoyed roaming freely. Apparently, a similar situation occurred. In essence, it transpired that Angela Merkel has a fear of dogs, and she wrote that you supposedly exploited her fear intentionally. Did such an event happen? Is it accurate?]

"Firstly, concerning the matter of the dog. Indeed, such an incident did occur. Ms Merkel visited us, and my dog, Konni, appeared.

In all frankness, I already told Ms Merkel that I was unaware of her fear of dogs. Had I known, I would never have allowed it.

Quite the opposite, I aimed to foster a relaxed, congenial atmosphere.

I operated under the assumption that in Europe, and particularly in Germany, as I am aware from nearly five years of residing there, pets are regarded positively.

On the contrary, I thought it would be pleasant for her. I learned later of her fear of dogs.

Such things happen. As far as I recall, she mentioned being bitten by a dog in her childhood. Well, these things happen, psychological trauma.

Upon learning of this, I apologised to her. I said, 'Angela, I am sorry, I was unaware of this.'

She, with a tenacity deserving of a better cause, you see, included it in her book. Honestly, it is peculiar to me, unexpected.

You and I are conversing, and this will be in the media. I am addressing her once more and saying:

'Angela, please accept my apologies. I did not wish to cause you any distress. Quite the reverse, I intended to create a positive atmosphere for our dialogue.

I apologise. Should you ever visit again – although I acknowledge the unlikelihood of it today – I assure you, I would not repeat it under any circumstances.'"

    🇷🇺VLADIMIR PUTIN:

"When I lived and worked in Germany, a friend of mine told me a story. If he hears me… I have not seen him for 30 years and do not know what he is doing.

So, he was walking around Berlin, not just for amusement, but for work-related reasons. He came to the bank of the Spree River, and there was an old German man sitting there fishing.

My friend asked him, 'How are you doing, is the fishing good?' The man turned around, looked up and said, 'No.' There was a pause.

My friend asked, 'Why?' Another pause followed. This German fisherman turned around and said, 'It’s an easterly wind.'

To this, my friend replied, 'All problems and all dirt come from the east.' The German sat there, thinking, then turned around and asked, 'Are you Polish?'

Honestly, I am not making this up. My friend thought about it and said, 'No, it’s worse than that.' Now the German had to think about it.

He raised his eyebrows, looked at my friend silently and did not reply at all.

Why did I recall this? Nowadays everything from the east is better than from the west. Look at the conditions created for the German economy here in Russia, and those created by your traditional allies and partners.

We are now talking only about business environment.

Our doors remain open. For decades, we have maintained exceptionally warm relations with Germany, we understood each other very well.

A hallmark of German investments has been their focus on long-term industrial endeavours rather than seeking immediate financial gains.

Presently, we witness the challenges faced by Volkswagen. One must question why Volkswagen opted to exit the Russian market.

Not only could it have thrived here, continuing to sell its products even with a high degree of localisation, but it could also have maintained the supply of components, thereby generating excellent revenue.

We have consistently engaged in market-based practices, refraining from implementing any form of non-market regulation, though it can hardly be called regulation.

In fact, we have never subjected our German partners to the kinds of conditions found elsewhere, such as environmental investigations or similar matters.

At present, it seems convenient to attribute all woes to Volkswagen's management, thereby sidestepping one's own errors.

My reference here is to the governmental regulators responsible for pertinent decisions. It is not their responsibility; management bears the brunt of the blame.

Now, Volkswagen employees are seen as culpable, with thousands striking due to factory closures and consequent job losses.

To avert such outcomes, economic decisions should not be swayed by political motivations.

Finally, let us now address the most pressing issue. The paramount concern I wish to highlight is this: You represent the Federal Republic, do speak German! Why are questions posed to me in English?

The crux of the matter is sovereignty."

"I recall attending Mr Schroeder's birthday celebration in Hanover. Though modest, it was dignified, yet everyone conversed in English, and even the Hanover girls' choir performed in English.

It was quite disconcerting, you know? This is the essence of the issue.

Sovereignty must reside within; that is where it all commences."

    Text:
    🇷🇺VLADIMIR PUTIN:

"First of all, I agree that using the dollar as a world currency brings the United States unearned money in large quantities.

According to our experts, somewhere over the last ten years they have made US$10 trillion out of thin air, just for the fact that the dollar is used as a world reserve currency; they did it on rates, deposits with their banks, and so on.

Ten trillion is a lot, it means that they consume more than they produce. And this is very important.

In fact, the United States continues exploiting other economies of the world for its own benefit by using the dollar.

Few people think about that, but this is a fact, and in this part I agree with you. This is the first point.

Now, you have said the newly elected President Trump threatened to impose sanctions and introduce higher tariffs on those who do not use the dollar. As far as I understand, he did not say that.

I take it that everything US-related elicits a certain response with us.

Although I do not have much time to follow all the developments somewhere 'overseas,' as far as I could see, I noticed this – he said that if someone prohibited or restricted the use of the dollar, then he would react accordingly.

This is not the same thing.

It is one thing to prohibit the use of the dollar, and another thing not to use it. You see, these are completely different things. That is my second point.

Third. After all, the president-elect has been out of the White House, which you mentioned, for four years now.

Certain changes have taken place in the global economy and the US economy during that time.

His successors, his political opponents, have done a lot to undermine the fundamental role of the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency.

Above all, this is the outcome of their own making, since they used the dollar as a tool in their political and maybe even armed battles, in order to cause harm to other countries, which the current US government still looks at as its adversaries.

We have never considered them our adversaries, but they suddenly decided that we are adversaries and began to impose restrictions on us.

Since the share of the United States in the world economy is shrinking, meaning that the US dollar is losing its influence on global economic processes, other processes involving the use of other tools are naturally occurring.

For example, can anyone ban Bitcoin? No one can.

Who can ban other electronic means of payment? No one, because these are innovative technologies, and no matter what happens to the dollar, these instruments will keep evolving one way or another, because everyone will strive to cut costs and increase reliability.

It is an unavoidable process, and the dollar has absolutely nothing to do with it.

However, if the dollar gets used less and less around the world, and this will be the outcome of their own making, they will, of course, undermine the foundations of their economic power if they do so.

This is absolutely clear, and I completely agree with you.

Finally, we never turned the dollar down.

Did we ever? We were denied the opportunity to use it.

We have a saying, they got what they fought for.

They ran into problems with the dollar. Now, of course, is the time to ponder next steps.

This all comes from smugness and arrogance in the economic sphere, among others, which is unacceptable.

One needs to be aware of the global processes and build one’s own policy, including international policy, based on this knowledge.

Look at what is happening in a natural way. Even the unconditional allies of the United States are reducing their gold and foreign exchange reserves, both in US dollars and euros, by the way.

Over the last ten years, the cut has amounted to about 13 percent, which is significant.

This is a natural process, and no one will be able to reverse it, especially with the use of sanctions and coercive methods, which are destructive for the economy and for those who make such decisions in the first place."

A look at the man being filmed tackling corrupt and incompetent persons. Legacy footage compilation which shows how he really does expect high standards from those tasked with certain responsibilities. A kind yet firm taskmaster is my observation here
