I just finished my second complete listen/viewing of the Carlson/Putin interview.

What I like best about Vladimir Putin is that he understands and knows how to use the body intelligence as subordinate to the soul intelligence.

He doesn't over promote it or drive it into defiance of the soul intelligence. He presents it as reassuring balanced cognitive modesty, the way it's supposed to be.

Glenn Greenwald's analysis of Tucker Carlson's inverview with Vladimir Putin:

• Putin talks about how the U.S.A. has tried to isolate and marginalize Russia since the collapse of the Soviet Union, building up NATO and then illegally taking over the affairs of it's allies like Serbia.
  
  
• While in discussion with Bill Clinton, Putin stated that since Russia was now no longer communist, it shared the same objectives (e.g. fighting terrorism) with the West and would consider joining NATO. Clinton was initially receptive, but after consulting with his advisors, said that it would not be possible.
  
  
• Similarly, he had proposed some initiatives to improve Russia-U.S.A. relations with George W. Bush, and Bush greeting the proposals enthusiastically, but then backed out after consulting with advisors. Greenwald's observation is that it is the Deep State and not the U.S. President who is calling the shots, and that the POTUS ranks pretty low on the decision making hierarchy. Putin seemed to feel he had good relationships with most Presdients (also Obama and Trump) but it was American foreign policy that was causing the rift between his country and the U.S.A.

Putin says Russia is close to creating cancer vaccines




"MOSCOW, Feb 14 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Russian scientists were close to creating vaccines for cancer that could soon be available to patients.
Putin said in televised comments that "we have come very close to the creation of so-called cancer vaccines and immunomodulatory drugs of a new generation".
"I hope that soon they will be effectively used as methods of individual therapy," he added, speaking at a Moscow forum on future technologies.
Putin did not specify which types of cancer the proposed vaccines would target, nor how.
A number of countries and companies are working on cancer vaccines. Last year the UK government signed an agreement with Germany-based BioNTech to launch clinical trials providing "personalised cancer treatments", aiming to reach 10,000 patients by 2030.
Pharmaceutical companies Moderna and Merck & Co are developing an experimental cancer vaccine that a mid-stage study showed cut the chance of recurrence or death from melanoma - the most deadly skin cancer - by half after three years of treatment.

There are currently six licensed vaccines against human papillomaviruses (HPV) that cause many cancers, including cervical cancer, according to the World Health Organization, as well as vaccines against hepatitis B (HBV), which can lead to liver cancer.
During the coronavirus pandemic, Russia developed its own Sputnik V vaccine against COVID-19 and sold it to a number of countries, although domestically it ran up against widespread public reluctance to get vaccinated.

Putin himself said he had taken Sputnik, in a bid to assure people of its efficacy and safety."

Here's the official English translation of the whole Pavel Zarubin follow-up interview.

(Alexander Mercouris, who closely follows everything that Putin states on record, has promised that he'll offer an in-depth analysis of this. He may publish it tomorrow or Sunday.)

True to his promise, Mercouris's observations about Putin's follow-up interview with Pavel Zarubin starts at 1:07:16 in his video update yesterday. The section lasts for a mere 10 minutes, but as one might expect he nails a number of important points which are unlikely ever to be reported in the western media.

The principal takeaway is just how angry Putin is about western political dishonesty, blaming himself for trusting western politicians for far too long. It seems that ideally he would have appreciated the opportunity to say far more about this in his interview with Tucker.
