Default How to write in Sumerian Pictographs

I thought that I might provide a short lesson on how the Pictographic or earliest Sumerian writing was done. Don’t worry – I’m only going to show you three symbols, and I will try to keep this short.

Our scholars refer to this as proto-Sumerian, but actually the proto prefix usually designates a theoretical reconstruction of a language, and in this case we have fairly firm information on the symbols used, and thus it should no longer be considered theoretical.

Most of us are familiar with the type of Sumerian writing that was done with stylus on clay, but the examples that I am providing today represent the most archaic version of their writing – done prior to the formalized or classic period that used the stylus. Many of these symbols were scratched into rock, but some were drawn onto clay as well.

Here’s an easy one to start with. It’s the eight-sided star that appears on a great many tablets from Sumeria. This is referred to by modern scholars under several names, or transliterations.

As ‘digir’ it is defined as “deity, god, goddess; personal god”.
As ‘AN’ it designates the “Supreme sky-god”.
As ‘an’ it is defined as “sky, upper, above, and also as sky-god”, although I can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Sumerians did not consider the beings who came from the sky to be “gods or goddesses” and so a sky-beings definition would be more factual.

Here are a few examples of it:

The Sumerian sign for AN, indicating a sky god

    Name: AN.jpg

Size: 5.2 KB

Actually, the earliest Sumerians hated the sky beings, and we see this reflected in a great many of their earliest writings. So the gods and goddesses theme is more of a late Christian addition.

And just to stifle the skeptics, yes, in the Semitic period of the Akkadians and Babylonians, and Ki****es, some thousand years later, they did indeed worship the beings from the sky as sky gods and goddesses. That period, beginning roughly 2600 B.C., is when humans knees touched the earth in respect to the sky gods for the first time.

This next symbol was used to represent the Sumerian word “mar”. Mar is defined by traditional scholars as being a “chariot, a wagon”, although to the Akkadians it meant only chariot, and in truth nearly all of the earliest Sumerian pictographs indicate a chariot as well. It’s a chariot.

You may notice that the symbol itself kind of resembles a rectangular box with a stick in the front, which is what a very early, crude outline of a chariot might look like in 2d.

Here are two ways in which it was written (drawn):

Example of MAR, Sumerian word for Chariot.

    Name: MARa.jpg
Views: 533
Size: 4.5 KB

The only reason the wagon was included in the definition is because, while the Sumerians are acknowledged as having invented the wheel, some of our scientists do not believe that the chariot was invented by the Sumerians as well. They point to the Urals, to Europe, actually anywhere except Mesopotamia. (Not saying they are racist, but it’s something like ‘anyone but the brown people’).

However, two thousand years before the first image of a chariot in any artifacts from the Urals or Europe, or elsewhere in the world, we see it on a Halafian (pre-Sumerian) vase from 5400 B.C., so they really just need to get over it.

The final symbol represents the Sumerian word “pa”. And pa is defined as “branch, frond; wing, feathers”, all of which seem to refer to birds and flight. Frond, to the Sumerians, indicated a palm frond, which also resembles a wing. Branch also provides us with the skeleton of a wing shape, under the leaves, which could be thought of as feathers as well.

Now, below are the final two images in this report. Both are in the Sumerian Pictographic writing style, both dated to between 3500 and 3250 B.C., both are from tablets in the CDLI library of tablets, held at UCLA, and both are listed as “not translated”. To be fair, most of the earliest and best tablets are not translated, or at least not for public consumption.

I’m fairly sure that they have been translated for in-house use but our scholars are sitting on them like hens. In fact many of the ones that they list as not translated appear in scholarly reports much later – so they really seem to want to ring up some dollars before they release them to the world.

These are photos of the actual markings on the tablets themselves.

The first one is a photo of the actual tablet itself – the original, and it says “Mar. An”. You can compare this with the Mar and An that I furnished above. FYI – the four impressions to the left of the Mar An represent the number four. So we are talking about four Mar.An, or a plural amount.

Four Chariots of the Gods as written in Sumerian

And the second example says “Mar.An.Pa”. I was forced to provide a line art drawing instead of a photo image due to copyright rules, but it is identical to the original. This also indicates four of these items. And I should mention that the reason I picked a second example, and this one in particular, is that our skeptics will have a difficult time in claiming that these are “normal” chariots, since they are “made by or of” the Gods, and this one has wings. And it’s lucky that it says MA.AN.PA because that’s the three signs that we just learned about above.

As you have probably surmised by now, “Mar. An.” means ” Chariots of the Gods”, (4 of them) and “Mar.An.Pa” means ” Chariots of the Gods with Wings”.

Someone should probably wake up Mr. Erich von Däniken and let him know that he can take the question mark out of his book title of “Chariots of the Gods?”, and yes, I am trying to be funny.

Now our scholars first dug up these tablets beginning with the excavation in 1853 A.D. by William Loftus. And the actual tablets were published online – one in 1998 and the other in 2005, so it’s not like they have not read the same symbols that I have. So yes, they know. But I never heard any of them say anything about confirming the Chariots of the Gods theory. Hmmm.

I hope you enjoyed this short report, and I welcome any comments.

WOW Great! I saw the mountains and I almost freaked because the Sumerians explain where the station or base was for the visiting aliens in several of their tablets, and it's in the mountains of Kur. I found the exact location within 500 yards (meters) and your drawing caught my attention.

I thought that was the symbol for man and heart, but mountain heart says it better. My list of symbols is from a google image search and has about eight or ten symbols, I don't have too much faith in it. Mountain makes more sense, it didn't look like a man, and I was worried it meant man wrapped corpse. Glad it means mountain

Yes, he's tremendous fun. Irving Finkel is a curator at the British Museum as well. Highly recommended this

The Sumerians tell us of a special mountain. Samuel Kramer translates it as KUR, the mountain home, the garden of the gods. It actually represents what I call Station One, after I saw it described as a station on several tablets. It was the base for aliens during Sumerian times. I don't have to upload the image that they used to express Kur, because you are already familiar with it. It's the symbol that we use for radioactivity, and for fallout shelters. The truth is that a small portion of humans has kept the knowledge of the ancient Sumerian symbols alive to date, and our intelligence agencies are fluent in it. It's like Latin to the aliens - they no longer use it but they can communicate in it. I found it by hard work.

Thanks Bill. I have read his book and it's interesting. My research tells me that he is off on only one point
in his work - the flood of historical mention happened circa 7300 BC in the Middle East and evidenced by
Doggerland as well in the Channel.

I have a double monitor system and I use six, all open at the same time. But even then it takes days to do one small tablet and double-check it. This is one of the best - from the Univ. of Penn, and they are part of the CDLI initiative, so you can't go too far wrong with it. The UCLA and Oxford dictionaries are screwed up, because they refuse to accept the Sumerian "e" and substitute "i" in most cases, and they are far behind the U of Penn.

Sometimes you will come across symbols with zatu in front of a number. This references a catalogue that only the inside professionals get to access. I have translated most of them on my own, since I am not one of those golden children. So if you need help on one or more, just ask.

Well, let's take one tablet - in fact in the same group that I provided the Chariots of the Gods message above. They tell us that the alien craft were abducting with their ships with claws. In fact the actual terms are Mar, which we saw was chariot, and then words indicating claws or talons and then their word for sky beings (which our Christian archaeologists translated as gods). But what is worse is that they complain, in a crying fashion, hoping that someday they will quit taking the children. And they go on to explain that these are primarily female children. That they are put in cool, cold areas, and then aboard "ships, boats" and taken to the home planets of Enlil and company. The Sumerians call them the Goats, in their code.

One very large tablet that was not previously translated I took on, and it is apparently the world's first whistle-blower - he was a guard at their base and was hybridized but not selected for transport. So he tells us quite a bit. Other tablets fill in the rest - I have translated some hundreds that have supposedly never been translated.

I will tell you this - look at Agrippa. In his book on Hermetic practices he provide a list of fifteen important stars. All of those symbols are in the very earliest form of Sumerian, plain and clear. All tell us important things. Supposedly mankind lost the ability to read Sumerian from about 200 BC until 1870s AD, but here is this Middle Ages writer, who was friends with DaVinci, who understood the hidden messages very clearly. So yes, our historians have been lying to us for centuries. Our governments and intelligence agencies change the reported symbols seen on the sides of UFOs from a message of peace to words meaning a message of evil. Now how could they do that if they did not communicate with some group of aliens on a regular basis? I have signed statements in handwriting from the Project Blue Book files that prove this. So it goes deep and it has gone on for a long time.

These messages are found over a period of hundreds of years, and yet nothing after 2900 BC. Which tells us that by that time they had completely lost the battle against the sky gods or had been completely shut up.
They explain the process of human hybridization, and in fact it is very descriptive and easily understood as such - nothing like the vague ideas we sometimes find. Complete with ovum, tubes, etc.
These "mixed" ones were then put as replacements for the supervisors in the scribal class and in the government.
Only the ones that were not perfect, that had flaws - they were the hybrids left behind, and left behind is the term they use.
The title will be "Slaves for the Stars" and the subtitle "A true story: Unfortunately". Its above 500 pages now so my task is to complete it and edit it down.
For proof that this is not just some made up tale, the Sumerians provide us, on a tablet, with the radius of the star Sirius, accurate to some 96% of what we believe to be accurate today. And other bodies in space as well, but I don't want to give everything away.
Finally, after 15 years of research and putting things together I have the full story. And it's not pretty. But we should keep in mind that Enki helped humanity and he went down when the Sumerians did.

The Semitic people conquered what was left of Sumeria, first the Akkadians, then the Gutians, Amorites and their Assyrian partners. They could not understand all of what they read - it is hidden in clever ways, and so they
rewrote the stories in their own way and with their own made up additions.

There is quite a bit more to the book, but I hope to surprise everyone. I will say that I provide an ancient map of Eden that shows the exact location, so there's that also. And I include parts of the Bible (OT) that have also been made to hide critical information - and that part is also astounding. Most of that chapter will get me in very hot water with the fundamentalists because it shows that the 6-10,000 year age of mankind is not that at all.

So I'm keeping in my cabin in the mountains, writing and editing away, desiring to get this out asap. I've been computer attacked so many times that I no longer stress about it. My posts on Quora - some 258 of them, were removed and placed into some pending file, as if I never hit the submit button. So yes, this is toxic information.

Most of what I have found should have and probably could have been found by other linguists - if they cared.

It's definitely looking like an intentional dumbing down of our knowledge of history. The Sumerians refer to the humans living in their day as Sheep. So nothing new there either.

    Back to work.

Default Re: How to write in Sumerian Pictographs

To those interested in Sumerian writing.... I wrote a 248 page book - took me six months out of my life. It was based on an image sent to me by an abductee, that was in Sumerian. I actually get this from time to time, since I don't charge to help out when I can. It speaks, in clear Sumerian, of who and where the Covid 19 started, and how to cure it with a cheap remedy, which exists and I have confirmed.

I published it in Jan 2021. It was rejected as being spam or lies. Amazon would not accept it as it was. I had to republish it the next month as a book of fiction, and I used a pen name. It has not done well. I can not place notices up on my website about it - google will not index them.

Since then I have discovered that four months prior to the pandemic in Dec 2020, the government outlawed all imports of six natural medicines and the cure that is provided was one of those.
Since then I have discovered that there is now admission that the USA funded research in Wuhan and that's where it all began. And yet I published all of this in Jan. of the year before.

I will put up a free copy of the book in epub format - I don't have a pdf yet, if you wish to read it. It shows translations of Sumerian symbols and it might even entertain.

Please let me know and explain how to technically do this - it might be better read in the Avalon Library, although it got some good reviews.

    Hi Jim

We'd be delighted to include this in the Avalon Library for you. I can't help technically with the formatting to pdf necessarily.

    Maybe try this site: https://www.zamzar.com/convert/epub-to-pdf/

It can be transferred via WeTransfer for free and can be sent to: tintin@projectavalon.net

OK I just made it into a PDF and sent it to you on Wetransfer. Please let me know what you think in a few days or so after you have had some time to look it over. I just discovered by accident, yesterday, the identity of the scientist at Wuhan that I refer to in the book as having a "bird name", which was what the message told me. It's the lady scientist who works there and is known to her group as "the bat lady".

Dear Jim: I am certain many people would love to read that information. As you were explaining MAR and AN, I put together the word CATAMARAN. It will have come down a long way over time to us. I can only guess at the CATA part meaning TWO of something. As to the gruesome part of being considered sheep, that can only mean we were used as food. I suspect that the early practice of sacrifice to BAAL meant the first born of a woman were usually spawn of the Anunnaki and the human woman who must first sleep with the Alien before her human husband, and that is why it was sacrificed to BAAL. I believe I read this suggestion in Zacharia Sitchen..

    Catamaran? You mean the:
    ka as kan "gate, door"
    ta as da2 "arm, side"
    mar = chariot
    an = sky gods
But actually I am just being funny here - the word catamaran is not part of the Sumerian lexicon. But you are 100% correct in that, contrary to what our scholars tell us, each syllabic part of a word means something in Sumerian.
For example, Enlil is actually enlil2 in their writings. En - lord, master, ruler and lil2 = jester, shape-shifter & chaos,
So Enlil was actually the jester or chaos god, and we see his twin in LOKI of the Norse.

Sitchin translated Akkadian. Only Akkadian and Assyrian. Those are the groups who, like the pilgrim missionaries, took the birch bark writings of the Native Americans (Sumerians) and told us what they meant in English, as if
    they had any clue.

The reason for them being referred to as sheep is the same as today - not for eating, but as to how dumb they are. Most farmers will tell you how sheep will literally follow anyone or anything, that they are cute but very dumb animals. And that's what we are to the Enlil group - cute and dumb animals to be shipped back to the home planets.

Thanks for your comments. Your thinking is clear in my opinion - it's refreshing to meet another with their eyes open.

It should be there now - I don't know how to advise people, nor do I know its url or link - so if Tintin or others would kindly help this old one?
