I read the news mentioned that many people in India use chemical fertilizers and pesticides to grow plants. I know it is the easiest way for those farmers who can't make ends meet to live. You know, organic farming requires much more time and energy. It is a pity that the more eager and impatient people are for success, the more severe the climate will be as a feedback or punishment from nature.
Well, it shouldn't have to have the name "organic", because whatever was changed in modern times ought to have a warning label.
And that would mean that around 90% of a population would need to work the land.
But that is the most direct way to have food and housing security.
On the other hand, a big part of what is happening in Ukraine is that 60% or more of the agricultural land was bought by western companies. Then they had labor laws repealed. The plan was, I guess, to sell Ukrainian grain around the world, which had of course been raised by chemicals, and an exploited labor force.
So anything we call "organic farming" is really a resistance to bad politics.
Concerning the Acacia, there are at least 160 kinds, it must be a particular species that is down to nine members.
Wormwood also has many species, one of them is:
Artemisia annua
which, at the "first SARS" outbreak around 2012, was found to be the second most effective treatment. For about $3, you get a bag of a thousand seeds.
With Covid, which is like SARS 2, we told everybody to ignore "Madagascar Tea", which contains this wormwood. And yet now, "research" from
National Institute of Health, 2021:
Collectively, A. annua constituents may impede the SARS-CoV-2 attachment, membrane fusion, internalization into the host cells, and hinder the viral replication and transcription process.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has already recommended it as a first treatment of Malaria, for years, but we were told to forget about it during Covid. We could have distributed three full-season crops by now, but no. Source of inspiration? Ancient Chinese Medicine. You just take some weeds that are almost free. But we spent our money on insanity.
If we grew our own food, we could grow a lot of medicine too. I tried that once, I had some Astragalus (Huαng Qν) and several other things, and I got pushed off the land. That is very sad, because plants are both a great thing for international trade, and, important to keep them in their natural state without GMO or hybridization. You can do your own natural selection. For example, I have a few trees that survived. One is a Russian Pomegranate, something that was taken from Iran and selected until it could bear fruit in Siberia, and it still works great in the southern U. S. And so I think this is the best kind of natural stewardship we can do. Wise choices about seeds.
