I was looking at some of the more recent John Lydon interviews and I was struck by how articulate and blatantly funny he is, I sense that John is one of us, he is a genuine rebel and someone who champions natural justice and sticks up for working people, his background has a lot of similarities to my own, such a wonderful guy.

I love the interviews with genuine musicians and personalities, it seems they are real human beings after all. The glitz and glamour of commercial music obscured a lot of the players, we never got to see them in their genuine state, nice one.

John Lennon in 1975, talking to Bob Harris about his life in NY city, his peers in the industry, recording, and various other stuff. John is relaxed and open here, funny, and just in all around good form. 17 mins long.

I've enjoyed a break from the upside down world, listening to this very right way up woman and musician, Tal (pronounced Tol) Wilkenfeld.

Lex Fridman Podcast - 408 - Tal Wilkenfeld - Music, Guitar, Bass, Jeff Beck, Prince, and Leonard Cohen
    1 hour 55 minutes - Posted Jan 9, 2024

    SHOW NOTES
Tal Wilkenfeld is a singer-songwriter, bassist, and guitarist. She has performed with legendary artists including Jeff Beck, Prince, Incubus, Eric Clapton, Herbie Hancock, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Hans Zimmer, Pharrell Williams, and many more.

I especially like the way she looks across at Jeff Beck, when she reaches the end of her bass solo . . . .
