Default What truly makes someone's life rich?

    Hello dear Friends,

I was at a funeral yesterday, my aunt died. She was 59 and died suddenly, on her first day of vacation. She died in front of my mom, in a hotel room, in an instant, and they loved each other immensely. Her heart stopped, and I'm pretty sure I know what killed her: she had 3 shots of Pfizer.

There were some cca. 200 people at the funeral, family, friends and neighbours. There were men and women, young and old. And all of them, every single one us, cried. We all cried sincerely, as she was truly an amazing person, a kind soul, a generous, hard working, honest woman. Everybody loved her.

I was never in my life at such a truly emotional funeral. I have never seen so many people being so damn sad that one person has left this place. Her impact on people around her in her life was stupendous.

Although she didn't have a nice house, or a good job, or an easy life, barely any money, she was truly a rich person..

    Xelnaga

my condolences to you and all concerned. Sadly this is becoming a continual story. A friend of mine, his girlfriend passed away several days ago at 33 years old. He didn't mention the vaxx, claimed it was from an ulcer, and I didn't ask.

To have so many people at her funeral remembering her and mourning her loss, she surely was a rich person.

XelNaga, it is so sad to hear what your Mom and family and friends are going through. As Doug said above, many members and their friends and families are seeing the suffering of others around them when a love one is suddenly gone from their material life. Love and prayers to you and all your family.

It does seem your Aunt knew what life was about, what was on the top of her list of importance, and what a difference that made to so many she knew. A heart full of love, compassion and understanding is a gift and can be shared by bringing that true inner self out in a sort of "presence" that some become.

I had a Grandmother that was really down to earth, hard working, there for anyone, lived through the depression and had a fairly poor ($$ wise) life. Yet her presence I could feel, even as a child, whether sitting in silence with her or doing simple things. I think everyone just loved her for being herself, she seemed to embody someting no matter what her life circumstances were. I still love her.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It does sound like she was very rich indeed. I’d be lucky if a few old drunks turned up for my funeral.

The saddest thing for me about funerals is seeing those souls who we love unconditionally. Why can’t we all make more of an effort to see one another during life, as apposed to pulling out all the stops when we lose someone we love? Another thing that bothers me about death is the amount of sh!t that can be sorted in a matter of days or weeks, the intensity of focus makes huge things small, why can’t we find that will and focus without the loss and the grief?

Again I’m so very sorry you lost her, my deepest love in this terrible time…….x……. N

Very sorry to hear of your loss, XelNaga.

What makes life rich is a massive question. I would say being grateful for the blessings you have in your life while you have them, whether that's a person, a thing, or whatever it may be. That would be a good start. Take nothing for granted. There's little worse than only learning the true value of a thing when you lose it. That would be a harsh and painful lesson. Cherish the moment and everything that's good about it. That is the way to enrich your life, and of those around you.

For me? Having all I want and wanting all that I have made me realize my life was richer than I even realized. We, (wife and I) have been truly blessed. I'm sure there are other ways to discovering this but for me that was my day of realization that this time around I managed to do a lot correctly......so far wink wink!
