Default Great NDE realizations from a 10 year old

Merry Christmas to all. I thought I would post this anonymous NDE recount as I found posted

    love and light to all
    pd
    ~

I died at the age of 10 years old during an operation I was having for a tumor that was lodged in my ear.
This is what I learned from my NDE experience.

    * God is an energy of love - not an entity.
*You do not need any organized religion to live in a spiritual state.
*More often than not religion really creates a blockage toward true spirituality.
    * You have been, you are and you will always be.
*Sometimes we are in the middle, sometimes beginning and sometimes we are at the end but we always are and always will be.
*Time is illusion and not linear. We perceive it as such but it does not exist as such.
*The best way to describe it, is, it’s happening all at once sort of as a spiral within itself.
*A way I can help you understand this, is with this example.
*As you look up in the sky and observe the stars, most of them have burned out but yet you are seeing them as they are currently existing.
In a sense you are looking back in time.
*If you are in the USA and call a friend in India - at that same moment you both are in different time frames and you both are correct in your perceptions.
*We exist in our physical selfs but briefly.
*There is no Heaven or Hell. No judgement.
*There is only love and consciousness.
*You are in a constant state of learning and honing your soul energy.
*You neither are rewarded for good nor punished for bad. A hard concept.
*You collect the energy you create basically through karma.
*You will feel the energy you have created in others from their perspective, after you leave this physical plane of existence.
*We travel through existence in soul clusters.
*That is why sometimes when you meet a person for the first time and they seem familiar to you it’s because they are.
    *Everyone’s physical journey is correct.
*Whatever sexuality that exists in you is correct.
*The expression of your sexual self, does not take away the love you feel for others.
*Although some feel a sense of security with monogamy, it really is a false sense of security.
*Do not choke on the vomit our thoughts create in our minds.
*In the same manner do not create the conclusion first and then begin creating the “facts” your mind believes in the result of the conclusion you walking toward.
*No one or experience can take your partner away from you / unless your partner really wants to journey on.
*They and you are experiencing your physical lives exactly as you have chosen to learn.
*If they are Christians, that is the correct path for them.
*If they are Hindu, that is the path they have chosen to learn through and also is correct.
*As is true with any other faith or even atheist, the path they have created to learn in - is absolutely correct, as is yours.
*Keep on your path and let them learn through theirs.
*Now having said this here are some lessons:
*Love yourself but not to the point of piety.
*Let go of negative people. You cannot change them. Forgive ( and mean it ) but let go.
*Even if they are family, it’s the only way to heal yourself.
*DNA can get in the way.
*Be yourself - everyone else is taken.
*Fall in love with people who make you laugh.
*You can give yourself an orgasm but you cannot tickle yourself.
*It is more important to like your partner than to love them.
*If you like them, love will show up but if you love them and doubt liking them …. you will have a hard road to travel and resentment will grow.
*Last and most important, be kind.
*You create your own happiness and you alone delete it.
*Water ….. Steam …. and Ice …. are all the same things …. but their experiences - change them, into how they currently exist and how they are able to move about.
    *You are powerful and valuable.
    *Laugh and love.

    • The 10 Changes in People Who've Had Near Death Experiences
    by TJ Dawe

This is drawn from Fr. Richard Rohr's lecture Dying: We Need it For Life - absolutely worth checking out. (And he drew this stuff from the research of Harvard prof Phillip L. Berman)

So here are the repeatedly noted personality changes in people who've undergone a near-death experience - out-of body, or otherwise:
    • 01. An amazing ability to live in the present. Most of us live in the two places where nothing ever happens: the past and the future. But the present is all we have. Every moment is a microcosm of the macrocosm. How you're doing whatever you're doing right now is probably how you do everything.
    • 02. An abiding sense of deep confidence. The untransformed self is inherently insecure and destabilized. The true Self finds a strong and lasting confidence - a sense that things are all right - without this being based on your external circumstances at all. You don't know where the feeling comes from. It's just there.
    • 03. An immense decreased interest in material possessions. The Self knows that happiness doesn't lie in another trip to the mall, or a bigger house, or any external attainment.
    • 04. Spirituality becomes central and important. People know for certain the reality of the spiritual world.
    • 05. A much higher natural compassion - which extends to almost everything. There's a deep gratitude for everything. A forgiveness for everything.
    • 06. A strong sense of life's purpose - and that life has a purpose. The purpose itself can't necessarily be verbalized, but there's a sense that life is going somewhere, it all means something, it all matters. How you interact even with the check-out girl at the supermarket has significance. And that it's worth the courage of taking ownership and responsibility for who you really are.
    • 07. The sense that all life and love has inherent value. In group/out group thinking stops. You see the connectedness of things, and the world becomes a sacred universe. As Rohr says "once you've embraced the demon inside, the demon outside can no longer hurt you."
    • 08. An amazing ability to enjoy a high degree of solitude and silence. People who've faced death don't need to have the radio on all the time. They generally don't like loud or jarring music when they do have it on. They tend to prefer music that doesn't make you angry, but that gathers the various parts of you together.
    • 09. A desire to live a more social, communitarian, participatory form of life. As much as this might seem to contradict the previous item, it doesn't. Transformed people can sit in silence, and still feel connected. And they know that life is about servanthood. Leaving the small self behind, and living in the larger self, you feel a sense of abundance. The true Self knows there's nothing to lose, and that the more I give away, there's always a deeper discovery of the Self.
    • 10. A strong sense of wonder, a perennial sense of gratitude. You're grateful, and don't even know why. You just have that quiet confidence, for no reason. The true Self, Rohr says, is always confident, and always grateful.

No need to follow anyone, only consider broadening (y)our horizon of possibilities ...
