May we all en-joy the adventures that life tosses us in 2023.
    No fear.

    It IS all Goood.....
    That's for sure..

The rat-a-tat-tat, the click-clack of gunfire here...
Sometimes it sounds like someone's tappin' on a tree outside
Then the rhythm's broken by the sound of bigger booms, .50's even...

At first, many years ago, I was impressed, then I was..
Comforted that people here can save that much
To buy the weapons they need..

    And Yes...It's All Good.
It's a New Year's Eve turnin' Early New Year Sky
    in my neighborhood..
Tall cottonwoods and darkened Siberian elms, silent sentinels in large suburban lands.... scattered with high desert grasses, all the green left as winter grey offers no buffer to the noise.
It's the 4th of July and the 1st of January ,
A lotta fireworks and a lot of hi-caliber fire.

    That's my hood...
    It's tough exterior
    Hides a beautiful peace....
It's all good...We all armed here..

    I do recall one...time..
One New year's eve, sitting up in a tree, on land we grew up in together..
Wondering why I'd stay here with you, you know...people, messed up people...Love outweighing the insane..
All of these years later the choice hasn't changed at all, we're still both the same..folks and me..
I saw them now as I see them then....

Since when does such a unique being, a human being, a sentient being ...Fit into a time slot?
I realize now that I really don't know what this 'year' thing is....a moment, alive? ....a millennia passing?

I do know the science, but that is an inaccurate word to use in the context of the soul, a presence bred to soar...to challenge the limitations of definitions.....Ohhh...I get it...

    Yep...
    It's All Good, REAL GOOD...

Has anyone else realized 99% of their life problems stems from internet addiction?

    Poor eyesight- social media use
Lack of attention span/ concentration- social media use
    Anxiety- social media use
Running late to work and important events - social media use
No time to plan & properly eat 3 nutritious meals a day- social media use
Lack of engaging with family members and people around you- social media use
No hobbies or skills- social media use
Messy room, disorganized, clutter- social media use
Lack of regular exercise & self care- social media use
Can’t focus to read a book- social media use
Lack of attention to detail, not paying attention, clumsiness - social media use
Zero energy & constant fatigue- social media use
No zest for life/ depression symptoms- social media use
Can’t speak or think straight. Have trouble forming thoughts & ideas - social media use
Low self esteem from consistently comparing yourself to other posts- social media use
Eye bags, poor muscle tone, bad skin from laying in bed all days exposing myself to radiation - social media use
Lack of a proper 8 hour sleep- social media use

2023 will be a strict no internet year for me. I am quite willing to sever my contract at this point and only use the net in coffee shops + net cafes.
Losus4 you bring up so many good and valid points. Our problems for the most part are from our own making or listening to and buying into,(consciously or unconsciously) the non stop programming we are bombarded with. There is abundance for every one to have a place to sleep, for animals to have habitats. We could be having the most delightful time figuring out creative solutions when we do have issues that need improving. Instead, I think of imagery I got from the bible as a kid. Something to the effect of "we will be wallowing in our own excrement. We are certainly doing that!!!!!

Years ago I followed some advice I read in an article. It stated to avoid the news for a week . I did that and liked the results. Then I began to notice the longer I was away from it, the trashier and fatalistic it seemed to me when I was in a position where the TV was on. Getting to feel the same way about the internet. I have cut way, way down on the info and am spending more time in the moment, What a difference that makes. I set projects to work on and love the feeling of accomplishment. It also gives me confidence. I can be resourceful if I have to!

I never welcomed you before, but welcome, Losus4!!!! Even if it is belated , as in really belated.

I feel very moved to say something, but I have no idea how best to put it so that I don't sound like Scrooge at Christmas. But bear with me, please, while I try.

"Happy New Year" seems so weak, trite, dated and inappropriate. But of course, I truly understand what people are trying to convey when they say or write that.

I know several people whose 2022 has been very tough, and whose 2023 is very unlikely to be "happy" in that cotton-candy, Disney-fairytale sense.

But what I wish for them is that the coming year may in some way be less tortuous and painful than the last, that new challenges can be met, that they will receive all the help and support that they may need when navigating through difficult times, that all around them wisdom and integrity may prevail, and that maybe some unexpectedly good things may happen and create treasured moments of surprise and delight.

So for those who are sick, I wish for improved health; for those who are stressed, I wish for windows of peace and clarity; for those who are alone, I wish for some companionship and for them to know they are never forgotten; for those who are in despair, I wish them the strength never to give up, because positive things can and do happen out of nowhere; for those who have lost their way in a confusing and seemingly increasingly degenerate world, I wish they may find direction, purpose and new goals that may make a difference.

And for all those who may not believe in miracles, I wish that their hearts may be open to be surprised by what just might transpire that is beautiful and good and gives renewed hope and strength, enough to also share with others who may badly need it

Bill, that was me yesterday evening, wondering what text to send to friends and family, as I felt as you do - the HNY phrase just doesn't cut it with me anymore. I asked a friend for advice, as I was feeling the effects of the 'cough' bug that is wiping out lots of us in the UK and couldn't think straight. She came back with a suggestion, which resonated with me, so I tweaked it a bit till it felt right, and I sent:
Good Luck, Illumination and Positivity for 2023. That's all I sent (and was capable of!) and the response was returned in kind: instead of replying with 'HNY', they (seemed) to have been gently persuaded to come up with their own response.

So I offer you and all fellow Avalonians the same message - Good Luck, Illumination (I like to think 2023 is when truly the brown stuff hits the fan and the masses awake) and Positivity (hang on in there, we will win this!)

Thank you for your feedback, I think the year 2023 is just a year of transition, an improvement not until April 2024 with the conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus, then the summer of 2025 with the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune. So 2023 follow the earth signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn), the latter from December 2022 to January 2023, follow my astro 2023 in each of the 12 signs on the Avalon forum

Whoever first wished the sentiment: 'May you live in interesting times', could not have known the extent of it!

These last few years have been unprecedented.

Can't wait to be back with my crowd after this life, to sit around and share the story of this life experience.

2020 - 2022 will take up most of the recounting, I'm sure.

Maybe 2023 will be even more interesting/scary/surprising...

very best wishes for 2023 to everyone here on the forum and to Bill for hosting - I don't know what I would have done without you all during the last 3 years - I'm actually getting tearful just writing that - thanks for all the posts and truth seeking and sharing of vital information - here we go, now I'm crying - not an upset crying - but an emotional release kind of crying.......

I wanted to add something encouraging to this post and I settled on the Tale of the 100th Monkey... we all know it but here it is again...

every act of truth, respect and kindness counts - no matter how small - it all goes into the collective consciousness.................. keep the faith ~ hold the line.....................

I'm ok again now, just a bit sniffy and the dog's stopped giving me funny looks and settled down in her bed ...
