What a zany world we live in. Trivialising blindness and helping at the same time while the big tech platforms feed wealthy shareholders. Hunger Games is here.

Don't be so sure about that. This is just bread and circuses, exact WEF tactics!

No idea how the surgery works in the USA but I learned here that it takes 2 to 4 days for a blurred sight to clear after the operation. That is due to the inflamation in the eye because of the incisions. Eyedrips of antibiotics and antiinflamation are taken for some weeks.
So just stripping off the bandage and people see miraculously seem a publicity stunt and as you say circuses and finally lies. It fits well in this crazy consumption society that is so present on the internet . That said it is certainly a great relief for those people to see well again, sometimes for the first time in their life.

How are you so sure about him being part of WEF tactics? Just because you can foresee a possibility does not make it so.
    • Cynicism sees endless evil possibilities in "the other", but that kind of a vibe often breed more despotism. (also discussed here).

I don't mean he's part of the WEF, just that they talk about curing inequalities while acting in the interests of the hyper rich. It's hollow deception as we know to make everyone equally poor and for westerners to accept less.

Mr Beast is just a bread and circus's show on one of their big tech platforms...the wealth of the WEF elite could cure global blindness, a YouTuber won't (even if he got offered a £1bn for his channel, which he rejected I think)

I see where you are coming from ... and totally get it ... but I was surrounded (in the past) with people who never want to allow to see the good because there is always something to be used to stay cynical forever ... Part of mainstream media tactics is to create a myopic tunnel vision view of the world rarely sharing real uplifting positive news BY DESIGN (on purpose 24/7) so that we all are mass conditioned to stay in a hopeless state of mind >>> paralyzing millions of minds making them go numb ... and the only "positive news" that is allowed is when it serves a specific agenda run by psychopaths & sociopaths ...

These (over the top) control freaks KNOW we need "positive news" to give us the illusion "there is good out there, making a difference" ... then of course they hijack & corrupt that idea as soon as they can, and sometimes it was them all along giving us heavy conditional "hopenosis".

Even knowing all this harrowing, depressing knowledge/insights >>> there are real good people out there that can break the conditioning but fail to do so just because most are addicted to cynicism more than anything else ... claiming to be "realistic" at the same time does the work of the manipulators without realizing it. (also discussed here).
    • In my view, too much cynicism can lead to spiritual suicide ... and yes I can be cynical too expressing my frustrations and incompetence to deal with certain issues in life and that behavior never ever helped me.
    cheers,

I reviewed the video because I get firsthand testimony here that the operation does not restore sight immediately as shown in the video. I do not want to sound cynical but I truly doubt that what is shown is genuine. For 10000 USD or a Tesla car people are willing to do a lot.
On the other hand the operation exists of course and will be a blessing for millions of people over the world. Years ago I was told by an Argentine professor how terrible the situation is in Africa where so many persons go blind by the end of their life.
What are the causes? In Africa and India where it is a plague it could be the overdose of UV light that causes the cataracts;. But people in Nordic European countries also get it and even as early as in their fifties.
450.000 persons are reported to receive the operatioàn in France every year. If I have time I will try to gather more information how it goes because many of us aging will be confronted with progressing cataracts. Again, this promotional film puzzles me and I wonder if it is not enactment. In Europe they also do only one eye at a time to avoid the risk of a botched operation for both at once.
