Request to forum members smarter than me with video extraction - I know you're there :)

Hi folks

I'm usually pretty smart with unpicking pages to extract video but on this occasion the WHO has me stumped

What I'm after is a download of this video, here: https://apps.who.int/gb/wgihr/e/e_wgihr-2.html specifically Session 4.

The major reason is to record for posterity the stomach churning Swedish 'off topic' bleeding heart whining for Ukraine speech near the end of this session, and the justifiably more than a little irritated Russian delegation response to it, although watching the session in parts is quite instructive too.

I've tried everything I can think of - perhaps one of you whizz-kids out there can unlock this?

If I was in Uni today, I'd probably use a video screen capture software to get the clip. I couldn't find the section you wanted - albeit I'm using an old android phone atm to search. (Disclaimer) I'm not as smart as you as you've helped me a few times on this forum with video issues. I just wanted to try and return the favour

Ah, bless you. Okay, wait until you get back to Uni and have a go? I'd be very grateful. Yes, I wondered whether a software intercept was the way to go.

The clip in mind starts in Session 4 at 01:38:55 to end.

I use the extension Video DownloadHelper in Firefox, it appears to be woking. I should have it in 20 minutes or so.

I succeeded downloading that video by using the Video DownloadHelper extention.

Better to use the terminology: "video stream ripper" there are many different types of open source free programs that are able to convert the downloaded stream in to usable mp4 ... there is an extra addition program to do this job ... the problem with "free programs" is that many of them have Trojans and/or Malware that Avira-AntiVir and or Firewalls will alert you BEFORE installing it ... thus when using the majority of them your computer is at RISK using them ...

• I used the program "Video DownloadHelper" add on for Mozilla Firefox + additional .exe file connected to that add-on that will convert the downloaded stuff (parts) in to usable .mp4 ...

Found companion app: VdhCoApp 1.6.3
Companion app binary: C:\Program Files\net.downloadhelper.coapp\bin\net.downloadhelper.coapp-win-64.exe

I inspected it, got the m3u8 link, converted that to a mp4 file, cut out the piece and uploaded to bitchute (which always takes some time).

Somewhat late to the party as I've only just seen this thread 15mins ago.

Seems everything is in hand, but purely as another suggested option to others... I use something called 'CoCoCut Video Downloader' as an extension on Brave Browser [Chrome Browser], and it has always worked faultlessly for me.
It downloaded the video fine, and as others said - 1.56gb file size, 2hr 01m 21s.

I have downloaded many things to my macbook, but when it came to videos, I never could, as the extensions were never downloaded.. By your asking for help, it finally prompted me to begin exploring the extensions on my own computer... (It's a new one)...

So your post will help many more to come! thanks Tintin, and everyone who responded. I will now be able to download videos I wish to save, so if they ever disappear on sites, I will still have them to examine!
