If you're strapped for time, George gives a round-up of the weekly international news at the beginning of the show for about 20 minutes, which is usually excellent.

Of particular interest to Project Avalon members perhaps is the phone call from Simon in Florida at 50:00, where he tells of a meeting of UNESCO in Paris to discuss global guidelines for regulating digital platforms to improve "reliable" information - that conspiracy theories need regulation by disinformation experts.

Oh dear, I hadn't noticed a new live show while I was posting the above. However, of particular interest in this video is the speech by Donald Trump at 1.10.45

George told us about a couple of very upsetting things starting at the 6th minute - I'm actually still reeling from it - a line has been crossed although no doubt the UK MSM will not be talking about it -

First about the Spanish government legalizing bestiality - as long as it doesn't mean that having sex with the animal doesn't mean it needs to go to a vet after - for the love of God what's happening in this world and the West - an animal can't consent to sex so it is basically legalizing raping an animal - and if anyone is so abusive that they would rape a poor animal they are not going to pay for a vet after if they injure the poor creature...

Second that Peter Tatchell has been reported to have said that it's ok to have sex with 9 year old children if they consent.... what the hell!!!

The rest of the show went onto other subjects and as usual was good...

I'm not going to keep going on about it to take anything away from the whole show, which was choc~a~bloc with interesting items... but I've just had a quick look at the bestiality thing and it looks like there is some confusion about exactly what's going on...

It currently punishes "sexual exploitation" of animals and the wording has been changed to penalizing "acts of a sexual nature…that cause an animal injury which requires treatment".

So the fact that the proposed new text doesn't appear to specifically state that all sexual acts on animals should be considered a crime but rather only the ones that cause physical harm to the animals has been picked apart as apparent proof that bestiality will become legal in Spain.

I watched the first 18 min of the OP vid (“George’s monologue”), and he indeed shills for the CCP (iirc, starting at about 14 min).

Looking him up, he is much more well known than I had guessed, and it seems he has a lot of haters. The above mentioned cat scene appears 7:22-8:55 in the following haters’ vid.

I have known of GG since I lived in Glasgow more than thirty years ago; and from all I know since then (all kinds of shady stuff, serially) I do Not regard him as a man motivated by the desire for good, Nor is he spiritually on the side of good in the spiritual war of this world.

He seems to me (rather obviously) a charming psychopath, an opportunistic 'chancer' as they might say in Glasgow - one who enjoys taking big risks for the possibility of excitement and other personal worldly rewards (money, sexual etc).

Indeed, I regard All those in long-term positions of power and influence in mainstream Western public discourse to be corrupted overall and agents for the agenda of evil; even when they are correct about specific issues - as GG may be here.

Whenever I think there may be an exception, and when I suppose that someone who gets a lot of media attention (of any kind, even pretended-hostility towards 'controlled opposition' figures) may be basically on the right side; this invariably turns out to be a mistake on my part.

I'm not trying to persuade others of my view, but explaining why I do not pay any attention to GG, or whatever his latest-thing may be.

yes thanks and I agree that Snopes should be treated with caution although on this occasion when I was in a hurry I quoted them because the two paragraphs generally summed the basics and was in agreement with what other sites were saying - I suppose it would have been better to use a different link and quote -

Yes, that clip has come back to haunt him many times and (I imagine) he totally regrets it. Other MPs have also fared badly on reality TV, like Ed Balls and Ann Widdicombe, and more recently the odious Matt Hancock.

George Galloway is currently leader of the Workers Party of Britain, which is communist, and perhaps unsurprising that he should back up the CCP (North Korea not so much). In theory communism should work, but in practice it doesn't ("You will own nothing and you will be happy") because the people at the top still own and control everything. Like many people, he was a vociferous supporter and admirer of the late Tony Benn

Although I don't share Galloway's politics, he's a first-class debater, who speaks with flair and passion and makes good and valid arguments about current affairs, and particularly about the shortcomings of our present government (queue Benny Hill music). He's an avid champion of our military, 100% in favour of Free Speech and prepared to listen to what people have to say. Whatever your politics, he's still worth a listen even if you don't agree with him.

Whenever I think there may be an exception, and when I suppose that someone who gets a lot of media attention (of any kind, even pretended-hostility towards 'controlled opposition' figures) may be basically on the right side; this invariably turns out to be a mistake on my part.

Your post has a lot of merit Bruce, but just out of interest, do you think there are any decent, upstanding politicians who have the "qualities" it takes to reach the top? Charming psychopath would seem to be a must have, given the company they keep.

He (or she) who controls the editorial "edit work" controls the perception ... you can edit anyone to look more likeable more congruent more logical more making sense in proper context etc. etc. but you can also edit it in such a way you do the opposite ... How many times do we have to trust editors claiming "not" being biased? ... That are hard core LIARS!

There is even a third option: "neutral editing" with the obvious "outlandish claims and outrageous opinions" but at least you allow the full elaboration/explanation of it ... and THAT is the crux ... "who decides" how much time you are allowed to explain yourself correctly in an allegedly "unbiased summary" that will do full justice to the unaltered truth!

Am certainly not 100% "pro" George Galloway because he defends collectivism & Chinese/North Korean communism in such a way he likes to sell (promote) a tunnel vision propaganda perspective talking points ... but when he exposes among others The Bush Family, The Clintons, Tony Blair and NATO's Hypocrisies etc. etc. he is more than often spot on!

No, I don't know of any (not that I have looked at all diligently!) -- and can't really imagine anyone I would Respect (which is, admittedly, only a Tiny proportion of the current Western population) going into politics nowadays.
